I came up when the Nokia, Sony Erickson, Motorola RAZR (the grey flat one) and Nextel we're wassup. So spending a G on a phone was a HARD NO for me. But this time I said EFF IT. This phone was brand new, works flawlessly, it's everything she ever wanted from her old phone. We're on Verizon but the phone came unlocked. It took a little long because the phone needed an Apple update but after an hour it was up and running. After having to cancel my order three time (one was my fault) and months and months of waiting, I finally received my 15 Pro Max, and was excited. After having the phone for nearly a month I can honestly say I have never had a bigger case of buyer’s remorse over any item I’ve ever purchased. For $1600+ I am expecting something nearing perfection, and this product falls woefully short. My main complaint revolves around video playback. I first noticed when I paused videos on YouTube they would automatically start playing again without me pressing play or even handling the phone. Also when I would select a video it would play for a millisecond then pause and I would have to press play again. I thought maybe this was YouTube app related and was willing to overlook it, ... MoreAfter having to cancel my order three time (one was my fault) and months and months of waiting, I finally received my 15 Pro Max, and was excited. I upgraded from the XS Max to this, and thankfully did not trade in that phone. You would think going up 5 iterations I’d notice a bigger difference in performance, but I don’t. I honestly reach for my XS Max more than this. I would not recommend this phone to anyone unless you like the feeling of being ripped off. Strongly considering biting the bullet and paying the restocking fee and returning this phone and reverting back to using the XS Max full time. The camera on this phone is nice, but doesn’t make up for the frustration of videos playing randomly.

Well my 2 year old iPhone didn’t overheat after 2 minutes of using the camera and this one does. The Apple Store genius told me it’s because it’s such a high powered camera and it’s going to overheat. The phone overheats without even using the camera. It overheats on the charger and stops charging, I can’t plug it into the car charger or it overheats again. It gets incredibly hot to the point where I don’t charge my phone next to my bed anymore, I charge it in the kitchen in case it catches fire or something. Now they have a new iPhone with even more high powered cameras 🤔 make it make sense. If I had to do it all over again, I would have save the $1200 and kept using my iPhone 14 Pro Max.Oh, one other thing to note, when I took the phone to Apple a couple weeks ago they ran a diagnostic on it and said there had been zero overheating warnings in the last 30 days, coincidentally my phone was burning hot and displaying the triangle with the exclamation point inside- because it was in fact overheating. That appointment was my last effort to get the phone fixed or replaced before my 1 year warranty was up on 9/25. The guy pretty much told me to order the new phone if I don’t like this one.

Great Upgrade From 13 Pro
18 November 2023

I wasn't sure if this would be worth it, it's stupidly expensive and I was nervous about the size increase from my 13 Pro.But I love it. Yes it's bigger but only about a cm taller and barely half wider and whilst it weighs a bit more it's not really noticeable due to better weight distribution. The cameras are superb, so clear and sharp almost on a par with a decent DSLR in some instances and the 5x zoom is very effective especially with the added stabilisation. I used to always shoot in Raw but the new high res 24mp means produces excellent shots straight from the camera. I also really like the depth map which produces very natural looking bokeh which is adjustable by focus point. The USB C charging is a very welcome addition finally means just taking one cable ... MoreI wasn't sure if this would be worth it, it's stupidly expensive and I was nervous about the size increase from my 13 Pro.But I love it. Battery wise it's early days, I'm not getting masses more than my smaller 13 but still plenty enough to get through a day's heavy use. My phone is a major part of my work flow, so the 15 Pro Max extra screen size ticks loads of boxes as it's big enough to get a lot done on the move. The Dynamic Island is cute and really handy for calls and changing music whilst you're doing other things. The only thing I'm not so keen on is the always on display, it feels a bit unnecessary and I keep thinking the screen is on due to a notification. It probably just takes getting used to but I may turn it off.Overall I'm really happy with my purchase and whilst it's only two models on from the 13 Pro I still think it's a very worthwhile upgrade.

If it folded, it would be mine.
27 October 2023

First let me start off with this caveat. If it wasn't the fact that I thoroughly enjoy folding phones, this iPhone 15 pro would never leave my pocket because of what it can do. I used to be a massive apple fan, and I still am, it's just that instead of doing something that blows your mind away Apple tends to make incremental upgrades to perfect your product, which isn't a bad thing. After watching apples event I decided to go back and check out the phone. I also bought one for my wife. Check it out for a spin for about 2 weeks before I returned it. Now that isn't to say that it was a bad purchase. Actually it is the best iPhone Apple has ever made. Especially when it comes to photography. I took some pictures of my son with special needs as we took him to a pumpkin patch to figure out his pockets all the improvements have made in the lenses and the additional zoom which was well overdue, this was a joy to use. I got it in the latest shade of blue and it looks really good. Again, because I like running multiple applications at once and at the same time as well as the advantages that folding phones offer, Plus I recently picked up the latest manufacturers phone that can fold, I just can walk away from the disadvantage of having a slab phone. With that being said, if foldable had not caught my attention this is a definite keeper and I would highly recommend it to all Apple users to upgrade if you have a 13 and older.

Lovely Phone and Biggest Storage for Video
24 April 2024

Stoked to have the 1TB on the newest pro max iPhone. Camera is excellent, new features like cinematic filming will be a fun tool for video. We're about to have a baby, and I film more than an hour every week at church, and recently I filmed close to 50 students using ASL so this was worth the upgrade for that alone. And the night time photo quality has been improved, too.The opening experience is always pleasant and top notch, the transition of data was smooth sailing. Took me 3 hours, but I have over 98,000 pics/vids.Still having issues with the GPS, which I use everyday. Very frustrating that this hasn't been resolved from the 12 iPhone.A bit ticked when I was charged an additional $133 about week after getting the phone, which will be refunded when I send the old phone. I didn't see anything online telling you that they'll charge that. Originally it was a $35 fee on the day I ordered it online.Customer service was inconsistent, and with the extras like a glass screen protector and phone case- I ordered from Amazon and they quickly shipped it within 12 hours for MUCH cheaper than these in-person Verizon/Victra stores. Last time I got an upgrade for my husband a few months ago, they tacked on another hidden fees totaling to $350 from adding unnecessary accessories like lens protectors (the guy didn't ask to put those on), a regular phone case, and screen protector. Such a sketchy worker, which we did NOT appreciate. When I picked up this one, it took too long to get it as the employee didn't acknowledge me for over 20 mins helping 2 others, and then telling me to come back after 10 minutes when the safe opened up. He didn't offer to upsell anything or help me with transferring my iCloud over, which I know is an extra fee. I think that should be a courtesy to offer help, instead of handing the product over and doing the bare minimum customer service with a lack of care. The least they can do is help you mail in your old phone to help avoid any delays in credits.Verizon can be a frustrating company as they charge a boat load, but they're also the best service in my area and the product is overall satisfying to my day to day use.The pros are that this phone is very secure, works well with all the apps like 1password, is quick to send and receive texts and fun extras like the emojis and images within that, and reliving special times from the Photo folders is easy to display on our TV at home.Looking forward to using this for all the precious moments, continuing use with my Deaf friends on FaceTime, and connecting with others in meaningful ways with this new device.

Loving everything about my new Iphone 15 pro max

The usb port on it has taken some getting used to since all the cords in my house were lightening chargers but it's about time that Apple caught up to the rest of the cellphone with that feature. It's the way of the future. I bought the Natural Titanium, and the color is great looking in person. Overall, the phone feels very nice in the hand with the beveled edge on the back side. The display is sharp and it remains bright even in the sun unlike my old iphone 7. Colors are bright, blacks are inky black, and whites are clean. Battery life has been impressive so far and I watch a lot of youtube videos every day. It gets me through a full day easily with moderate to heavy use. The cameras are incredible. Really. In some cases, it’s on par with a DSLR camera. Photos are in 24MP standard, and so far I've been impressed with the photos and video quality. I honestly have zero complaints about the phone so far and would recommend it to anyone that needs an upgrade.

Rewarding Apple for Mediocrity

Upgrading from an IPhone 12 Pro Max because I had no other choice at this point after the “geniuses” failure to repair it 2-3 times now (hooray for applecare?) Still has many of the same issues- the algorithm for connecting to WiFi remains awful. It doesn’t choose the best connection in my home, it demands to be glued to one node making connectivity difficult. It does weird things with the keyboard disappearing and certain apps dying.Feels and acts similar which is tragic to spend this much money on essentially the same thing from 4 (5?) years ago. The USB-C is a nice feature but honestly we already have a ton of lightning cables and it would be silly to upgrade just for that. The faster refresh rate is cool for about 20 minutes until you get used to it.The ... MoreUpgrading from an IPhone 12 Pro Max because I had no other choice at this point after the “geniuses” failure to repair it 2-3 times now (hooray for applecare?) The USB-C is a nice feature but honestly we already have a ton of lightning cables and it would be silly to upgrade just for that. The faster refresh rate is cool for about 20 minutes until you get used to it.The “Dynamic Island” is hilarious. If Apple had put as much money into removing the notch instead of trying and selling this as a feature I’d imagine I’d have a solid full screen (which would have been worthwhile). The always on display is flat-out annoying and makes no sense unless you’re using your phone as a clock on a desk or nightstand. 9/10 if you check the time on your phone you pull it out of your pocket which automatically shows the screen anyway. The camera is better but I’m taking pictures of my kids a few times a week and a total of 3 selfies (with my wife or kids) a year. The old camera was fine and not worth the cost.Honestly just sad and I feel like an idiot for rewarding apple for mediocrity. If I wasn’t a coward I would have gotten a Samsung Fold which looks nicer, has a prettier screen, and more features. Is it a nicely made phone? Yes. Is it nicer than last year’s model (which my wife owns)? No. Is it that much better than the IPhone 12 to warrant an upgrade? Absolutely not (unless apple simply can’t figure out how to repair your phone).

Worse Decision I’ve ever made
24 December 2023

Absolute worse decision I’ve made so far I’m not sure if it’s My fault, Verizon’s Fault, or Cricket wireless fault. I purchased this IPhone 15 Pro Max and an IPad with Verizon and switched both of my phone numbers to Verizon. Paid for the Devices boom (no one contacted me again) I wait a few days no response on when the devices will be shipped so I started making calls. Finally someone finally told me what was going on total waste of money paying for Expedited shipping. Finally got the devices (devices seem great at the moment) I paid for the premium unlimited best service you can get with Verizon but now cannot receive text messages or calls anymore. I call and NOW Verizon says we need a port PIN number from cricket wireless. Finally got the devices (devices seem great at the moment) I paid for the premium unlimited best service you can get with Verizon but now cannot receive text messages or calls anymore. I call and NOW Verizon says we need a port PIN number from cricket wireless. Mind you I’ve already paid Verizon a pretty hefty amount. I call cricket and they say they will text it to me , Great I can’t receive Text. I call Cricket Wireless and they say you have to do it On the mobile app. To get into the mobile app you need to receive a TEXT message and I cannot receive them. I call Cricket Wireless again and they say go into the Store I did. No one there knows what to do they tell me I have to go online I do that. Then it says you have to pay your bill. So I have to pay $121 for a month of service per line that is no longer even with Cricket wireless that makes no sense o well I pay it then I’m royally upset because they say they will TEXT me the port pin but I cannot receive text messages. I call Verizon they lady is extremely nice and helpful at first she says let me call Cricket and I’ll put you on the line and we will get this figured out. She talks with them and then she says I’m not sure what to do and 30 seconds later the call is ended. I have perfect service at the time (the entire hour I spent on this phone call is wasted because I can’t return to that call). Mind you I run a small business so I depend on my phone service. Without phone service means no customers. Without customers means no money. This should not be my problem I’m trying to figure it out and no one will help me. Now I have to send back the phone THAT DID WORK within 30 days I’m scared to death to do that. And I receive a text message with Verizon that my next bill will be $$$ literally more than twice what I was quoted and screenshoted. I wish I would have just left well enough alone. And I still can’t receive calls or Text messages internet works great anywhere and I can text others and call anyone just fine I don’t know what to do this was a bad decision

Worst phone I’ve had in almost a decade.
28 December 2023

I’m sad to say the IPhone 15 Pro Max is possibly the worst phone I’ve had in nearly a decade. After reluctantly switching to IPhone from my flagship Samsung phone, I’ve had possibly the worst experience with a phone since 2013.This phone has overheated and disabled itself during calls and randomly shut off with 50%+ battery several times under normal use. Chances are I may have gotten a lemon, but bad timing given it’s someone switching from Samsung for the first time. Needless to say I completely regret the switch and am now out $1200.The phone feels cheap compared to nearly every flagship Samsung phone I’ve had since 2013 as well. The titanium is a good gimmick, but really doesn’t hide the seemingly poor build quality.I went into this switch with high hopes, and was surprised by the obvious lack in quality control (not to mention the obvious reduction in quality relating to user experience, but I’ve chosen not to let that into this star rating as it’s mostly just personal preference compared to my experience with Samsung.)On another note, I was misinformed by Best Buy staff regarding the AT&T promotional offer, so I ended up paying roughly $400 more for the phone than I was expecting. This is ok, but is now a bit of a pain now that I’ve had such a poor experience with the product itself.
