I have 2 of these and absolutely live in them - one in Black and one in Forage Green. A perfect windbreak layer for casual or active wear, they seem to always maintain a good temperature and keep you warm without overheating. Also a great ski mid-layer, with excellent flexibility and breathability. The neck / collar area always sits well too, just the right height and shape. Reasonably water repellant for this type of piece, although a dwr refresh after a while doesn't go astray. The Atom hoody is a must-have piece - I don't leave home without at least one with me. 5'8" and 70kgs and the medium fits me perfectly.

Bought this jacket about a month ago and absolutely love it. Was fortunate enough to find it on a clearance rack for half off, which for arcteryx stuff means it was down to the price of a normal jacket, so I scooped it immediately. It’s super light, warm, comfortable, stylish, and the fit is very athletic, which works well for me. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

In my opinion this jacket truly is the most versatile on the market for the midlayer category. I have personally used this garment in climates ranging from Canadian winters while skiing to rainy Hong Kong springs while reffing lacrosse. It has handled anything ive thrown at it beautifully. I use this jacket year round and am actually on my 2nd iteration of it. If you're in the market for a versatile layering piece that can also perform on its own then look no further than the Arc'teryx Atom Lt!

I love Arc'teryx products and I love even more that they're a Canadian company. Yes, the gear is expensive but well worth it - great quality. I also love their trade-in program for used gear.I have the Atom in LT, SL, and AR and the LT is my favourite. For those who don't know, I do believe those stand for Light, Super-light and All-Round, and that is referring to the thickness of the jacket. Each has different placement of insulation to be more- or less warm. As I said the LT is my favourite. I find it the perfect weight and warmth for living in Victoria, BC which has temperate climates. There's stretchy side panels that allow for more air flow and for more movement. And for those who don't like noisy sounding jackets, this fabric has a nice soft sound. Can't go wrong with this coat!
I am 5'11 200lbs and this jacket fits perfect! True to size. I can wear this for any occasion. Great for cooler spring/fall weather with it's wind stopping technology. It feels warmer than it should. Also a great option for mid layer piece.
I purchased this jacket a little over a month ago as a a light-mid weight option for cooler falls and springs in Michigan. I wanted something that was not too thick or heavy but also offered some wind and water resistance. The Atom LT is already my favorite jacket. It's insulated enough on its own to stay pretty comfortable and warm down to about 40 degrees with some wind, and down to about freezing for short bursts with a base layer or thin hoodie underneath. The lightweight aspect is truly amazing and I was shocked by how warm it was being so thin. The cuffs are snug enough to keep the wind out but not tight, it's not too long even for a shorter person, I ordered the large and although it is a slimmer fit there is just enough room for another zipper layer under ... MoreI purchased this jacket a little over a month ago as a a light-mid weight option for cooler falls and springs in Michigan. I work in a metal shop so pretty much everything I wear is at risk but I try to be extra careful with this. Not really a negative since you need thin and light fabric for something like this to function as advertised, but it's something to be aware of.
bought this jacket and while I do like the weight and fit, the zipper is horrible. why is a locking zipper not used on a 300+ jacket?? if you actually hikes, and not using it to shop store to store downtown Vancouver like 90% of the people wearing do, the zipper always ends up undone. not a good thing on a Trek. Also, the breathability is terrible. the jacket is always soaked on the inside after a strenuous climb or hike. This will be my last Arc’teryx purchase. I went to their store to talk about it and there was a tour bus dropping off shoppers... the staff had zero knowledge of anything in the store. none of them were actual outdoors people but only sales people. it was sad.was a good brand but has gone the way of Canada Goode, Sun Ice, Tommy Hilfiger...
I have long been a buyer and fan of North Face (don't hate the player, hate the game) in the civvy jacket arena, but when I heard there was Arc'teryx available in Melbourne, I took a look and dropped some hard earned on this number. I'm 182 tall and 42" chest, 35" waist with a full beard and no tatts. I love long walks on the beach and... wait, back on track... I opted for the large and it is perfect. I can fit the Atom LT vest underneath it over a T shirt and it has been a daily for the winter 2022 season. The hood is spacious and can be drawn in for cold starts around a camp fire or those head-out-the-window-of-the-tram woohoo moments. The pocket lining is lush and feels like kittens snuggling your hands. Ginger kittens. Like another reviewer, I have owned countless "warm" jackets and used them in both military and civilian applications- this jacket is the daddy of them all! Light, robust, comfortable, shower proof and understated in its style and its ability to woo single mums at Chaddy. They don't stand a chance if you're rocking this number! Equally at home up in the Wombat as it is in Chaddy's food court, this jacket is tough enough to withstand what you'd expect it to as a mid-layer comfy boi. Overall, I cannot rate this jacket highly enough. The dudes at Arc'teryx in Melbs were top notch fellas, super helpful and even gave me a sticker for my speedboat.
I love my Atom LT so much that I'm on my second now. It is great as a standalone piece with a light DWR treatment to keep you dry in light rain/drizzle. The jacket still has excellent venting underneath the arms and breathes well. I generally pair it with a shell for some extra wind and water, protection, and due to the perfect weight of synthetic insulation, it stays light & compact to layer & to keep you warm in mid output activities (skiing/snowboarding, etc.)
The Atom LT from a few seasons ago runs TTS, but the 2021 season variant runs a little large. I'm 165 lbs, 6'0 and had to size down to a small (medium fit my proportions otherwise, except there's a ton of space in the gut area). If you have a bit of a belly, a medium or large will fit you fine. If you have an athletic build, consider sizing down (although all other dimensions -- chest, arms, etc. will fit fine).Otherwise, a fantastic piece. This is probably the most popular Arcteryx piece for everyday casual (urban) use. It breathes very well, and will keep you toasty in a tshirt to around 5-15 degrees C temps, and a little colder if you layer up. Works well as both a mid and outer layer for the fall to early winter (likely year round if you live in a milder ... MoreThe Atom LT from a few seasons ago runs TTS, but the 2021 season variant runs a little large.
