I needed a rain jacket as I coach outside in the elements. I bought two other jackets that didn't work for me. The REI Rainier jacket that was fairly uncomfortable inside. I returned it and tried the Kuhl Stretch Voyager, which was super comfortable, but wetted through the first hard rain I stood in. I was tired of being frustrated so I decided to spend the money on the Arc'teryx Beta LT. So far it seems to bead the water up nicely and keep me dry. It's not as comfortable on the inside as the Kuhl was, which is a shame, but it does what it's intended to do. I wanted the black color, but couldn't find it in stock anywhere, so I went with the dark blue. The sizing was tricky for me. I bought an XL, which fits my body. I'm hoping this jacket will hold up for a long time since it's pretty expensive.

The DWR lasted for quite a while. The jacket's fit is great for my skinnier, athletic build (5'10"), with extra space to wear base layers and my Atom LT or a slimmer down jacket. Hood coverage is great and the storm hood articulates well. The build quality is great and the hood adjustability is awesome. This jacket is def worth the extra 50 more than the Beta. The pit zips and multiple hood adjustments are really good when I need to dump any heat when hiking in the kinda cold New York winters (wearing an atom underneath). Great jacket overall (however, the Beta Lightweight may be worth it over this model [for $50 extra] due to the lighter weight, new internal pocket, cleaner design, and Vislon front zipper).

I bought this jacket slightly over a year ago and the fit is amazing! The materials appear to be high quality and the craftsmanship is why I have bought so many jackets. The articulated fit and features have been the best thing about the beta LT.My issue comes with customer service because after a well-maintained jacket that’s costed me $450 has some weird issue that I can’t figure out, I’ve been left hanging. I have always pulled up the “materials and care” section on the page every time I washed this. Even bought the special Arcteryx branded tech wash and DWR. I bought it in the phenom orange color and I was surprised at the orange color bleeding through or delamination (not exactly sure what’s going on) and I was just outside of the return window with REI where ... MoreI bought this jacket slightly over a year ago and the fit is amazing! I emailed Arcteryx and after requesting more information and specific photos, I stopped receiving any feedback despite reaching out a few more times. Beware of Arcteryx customer service. I own lots of shirts and jackets from this company, and most things have been exceptional quality. I’m not sure if this is a quality issue or a one-off, but if you need support after purchase, you may be out of luck.

My family members have been loyal Arc’teryx customers, and they convinced me it was worth the price for the impeccable customer service and no-questions-asked repairs. Well, that was before COVID. Ever since then, Arc’teryx has followed suit with every other company by shrugging off their responsibilities and customer-forward policies. When I bought the jacket I was convinced to do so thinking the company stood by their product and catered to their customers. Now I see that Arc’teryx products are no longer backed by their company making them all overpriced - especially when compared to every other premium outdoor equipment brand that still backs their products. I will never buy Arc’teryx again, and I see no reason for anyone else to either. This jacket got torn while skiing - doing what it was advertised to do - and I was offered 20% off my next order from Arc’teryx or a repair at above-market rates. Well there won’t be another order from Arc’teryx.
The Arc'teryx Men's Beta LT Jacket is an outstanding outdoor jacket. Its lightweight design provides a very comfortable fit without adding extra bulk, while still offering strong wind and waterproof protection. The fabric is durable, and the attention to detail is impeccable, making it a reliable choice for hiking or climbing. Even in harsh weather, this jacket offers sufficient protection. The breathability is also excellent, ensuring you don't feel overheated while wearing it. Overall, this is a high-quality piece of outdoor gear that's well worth the investment.
Acquired this leveraging my discount plus accumulated rewards — It’s unlikely that I would pay the full Arcteryx retail price for a lightweight rain jacket. That said, it is pretty solid. I wanted something that was regular goretex vs. paclite (which tends to soak thru in heavy rain.) I saw poor reviews for the 3-layer Patagonia competitor, which is thicker and didn’t fit me as well as the Beta LT, so I decided to bite the bullet. It kept me dry and blocked the wind for a long fishing weekend, and with a fleece layer underneath, I was plenty warm in 40-deg temps. It is a little crackly; and the cuff velcro is meager, but have had no issues as a result. I’d call it 4.5 stars, but rounding down to 4 because of the hi price, which lowers the net value a little.Time ... MoreAcquired this leveraging my discount plus accumulated rewards — It’s unlikely that I would pay the full Arcteryx retail price for a lightweight rain jacket. I had the previous version of the Beta LT jacket. Awesome jacket. Truly one of my best purchases ever. But the goretex fabric layers started to delaminate a bit (manufacturing defect) so I returned the jacket under warranty and got my money back in store credit.I got the new revised Beta LT and it’s just not the same. I had to return it. The material feels a tiny bit less durable than the previous one. When I poured some water on the sleeve, it would kinda bead off but nowhere near as good as the previous version. As mentioned by other people, you’d probably get soaked if you wore this in the rain for longer than 20 minutes. The one upside is the pit zips on this new jacket. I think those are cool and a very useful feature that the old version didn’t ... MoreI had the previous version of the Beta LT jacket. Awesome jacket. Truly one of my best purchases ever. Please bring those back.
A holiday gift for my girlfriend. I180cm, 74kg wear M more fit, slightly stick, if you want to add a warm layer in it, you can recommend a size. Compared with BETA JACKET, BETALT fabric is thicker, with better texture and overall quality, and it adds a wide underarm zipper, which is also a big reason for me to choose it. It can relieve the sultry heat caused by the inbreathability of gore-tex fabric. The bird embroidery is slightly metallic silver, very delicate. In addition, the color of bamboo moon blue is more resistant to dirty, personal feeling from the color alone does not lose dawn blue, ether blue, and men and women can wear, my girlfriend 170cm, M code is only slightly loose, the upper body is very suitable. I am a chubby type, 1,78m for 93kg with muscular torso but some arising beer belly ;-) and i bought the Beta Lite jacket for mountain-biking in L size.I already use the Beta Ar jacket ( L size) for powder snowboarding , all conditions, and just love it :-).The Beta Lite has a storm hood ( means no collar hampering air flow when front zip is open ) and kinda a longer back protecting you when pedalling.Fine.But due to sizing update in Winter 23/24 season, the belly is now much tighter, making it impossible to wear anything more than a technical first layer plus a light fleece ( 100 g /m2 ) under the jacket ... i guess the sizing update was a bit too radical ; note to haters : shoulders are exactly fitting, and chest is fine tuned to my Swimmer's upperbody. Beta LT is a series of jacket of Arc'teryx. It is made of 3L (three-layer) Goretex fabric and has undergone DWR (durable waterproof treatment), which is waterproof, breathable and wear-resistant. The detailed design of Beta LT is excellent. For example, COHAESIVE® adjustment system is adopted, and the circular adjuster is hidden in the hood, keeping a minimalist appearance, and it is easy to press the adjuster to adjust the size of the hat even when wearing gloves. The brim is designed to be stiff by pressing glue, and it has the function of a small hat, which can resist light rain. The cuffs have hook and loop design, which is convenient to adjust the cuff size. However, Beta Jacket uses N30P fabric with c-knit backing, while Beta LT uses N40P fabric with warp-knitted back, which is more tear-resistant and heavier in grams than the former.Generally speaking, Beta LT is a jacket with perfect functions and excellent details, which gives outdoor users full experience and perfect protection.
