Every detail is well thought out, a fabulous jacket. Al's was a delight to order from; the ordering process was easy, and I received my jacket very fast. I will definitely do business with them again!

I bought the Sentinel jacket because I am outside a lit in all kinds of weather. I wanted a coat that was warm, waterproof, windproof and one that I could layer underneath if I wanted too. The length is great too because it covers my rear end so I can literally sit on a wet bench in the rain and still be dry. The interior skirt will keep out drafts too and if you partake in winter sports, it will keep out snow when snapped. It’s a greT insulated jacket! For reference, I am 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weigh 115 pounds and the size small fits true to size.

Bought this 3 months ago in December. It has kept me warm and dry here in the Pacific Northwest, even in the rain. Works well especially when outside for a long time.

I love this jacket! It's very cozy, has all the pockets I need in all the right places, lets me move in every direction without restriction (although being able to unzip from the bottom is really useful at times!), it's waterproof, and the fabric doesn't crackle. I also love the length, which totally covers my hips and bottom. I have it in Boxcar, which is a lovely color. I'm 5'2", 108 lb, wear this jacket in size Small, and it works beautifully for me. Totally recommend!
I absolutely love this jacket. Im a naturally cold person and I usually layer heavily when I ski. This jacket makes it possible to ski with a base layer most times and on super cold days with a light puffy.
I was told that I wouldn’t need to buy DWR spray in order to maintain the coat, but after just one wear the water soaked through the first layer, making it drenched, dripping, and heavy. I wouldn’t have bought it if they hadn’t lied about the outer layer not requiring spray to stay waterproof. I tried to return it well within the 30 day window with my receipt and the original tags, but they argued with me and refused to take it just because I had worn it once. My family won’t buy from Arc’teryx again.
I am fairly tall (6') and bought a L and XL to see which fit best. Somehow the L was too small and the XL was too big. Sleeves are puzzlingly short in the L. There is a lot of bulk in the midsection of the jacket for both sizes, and the length on both were crazy long (even with my long torso). I returned them and am going to try again with the Beta Insulated.
I’m 5’6” 122lbs, C cup chest. Didn’t love the fit of this jacket in my normal size of small. It lacks pockets and the snow skirt is too snug, even for me (I have small hips/bum, slim/athletic build). I do prefer a super roomy fit when boarding (resort). I hate ANY sort of restriction when I ride. Given that, I didn’t try to size up, which may have been great. Decided to go the shell only route and order both S and M of the relaxed sentinel shell. Stay tuned for that review!
I love this jacket from Arc'teryx. I run cold when I ski and was looking for the perfect insulated jacket to replace my old Arc'teryx Andessa. This is it! I'm' 5'7 150 lbs and got the Large, which runs long and baggy (the way I prefer). Great quality.
Overall, I really liked this jacket and wanted to keep it. It's a pretty loose/baggy fit, which I liked. Obviously, that will depend on what size you get. But overall it has what I would describe as a relaxed cut, which I liked. It's also quite long. I am fairly tall (5'8") and I would say it was *almost* too long, but I liked the added coverage. In terms of warmth, I would say it was only kind of warm. Warmer than a shell, obviously, but if you run cold and/or are looking for protection from really cold temps and wind when skiing, this might not cut it without a pretty warm mid layer underneath. If you run warm or are skiing on warmish / sunny days, it would probably be great. Anyhow, at the end of the day I returned it because it lacks an external chest pocket. I just can't understand a jacket at this price point not having this feature in this day and age. Maybe there's a reason for it I am not aware of? But I need/want quick access to my phone and an external chest pocket is really the only way to do that, in my opinion. If an external chest pocket were to be added some day, I would for sure consider re-purchasing this jacket for mild weather ski days.
