I love the Contend models and own a lot of the previous models (3-7). The 9 is a return to comfort that 8 was not (I did not find the 8s comfortable at all). The Contend 9s are as comfy, maybe comfier, as the 6 and 7s. I'm ready for my second pair already! Just have to decide on the color.

My husband has flat feet and a wide foot. he really struggles to find anything that supports him like these do!.they fit him perfectly and says "they feel like clouds" would 10000% purchase again.

In the last 18 months I have restarted plodding/running to deal with back problems and for general health, aiming to run at least 5km each morning.These shoes replaced a previous ASIC runner (size 14, Wide) that had proved durable and comfortable enough but whose outsoles, after 18 months of daily use, were worn down. Initially there was some anxiety that the extra wide fit would be too wide. Not so. The extra wide size fits comfortably so prospective customers with wide feet should consider carefully, or try on, if a wide size will fit.I think the shoes provide adequate support and shock absorption, and will buy another ASICS when these need replacement.
I have very wide feet and have huge difficulty finding comfortable shoes. Asics offer these Gel Contends in a standard 4E extra wide fitting, and they are a perfect fit.Really good quality, supremely comfortable and excellent value for money, the Gel Contend 4E's are my go-to, everyday shoes.I work on my feet, am crazy rough on shoes and use them in a variety of terrains and environments. I have wide feet, and am typically a size 13. Asics are renown for being great for wide feet, and this proved to be true for these shoes. Super comfy and supportive. I went for a size up (S14), as they were just that bit comfier than the S13. Bought during the Father's Day sale, I only wish I'd bought another pair in a different colour.
An excellent shoe. Great fit with all the right support and extremely comfortable. I don't own a great variety of shoes, so when I wear these ones out, I just replace them with the same shoe. This is my third time buying these shoes, and if they are still available by the time I need my next pair, it won't be my last.
I originally bought a pair but ordered the wrong size so I gave them to a mate as a gift. So I bought another pair as to a pair for my wife and a pair for my son and they loved the shoe. Unfortunately mine were a bit small so I gave them to my stepson as a gift and he wears them daily to work as my wife does. So finally I bought another pair and the right size and an awesome shoe. So all up I bought 5 pairs of the same shoe. I’ve been buying ASICS for years and I love the fact they have a size 4E. For extra wide feet. Thanks and until next pair🤙🤙
I just wanted a basic shoe for the gym and these are great for that. My foot is wide so it’s hard to get a comfortable shoe in a lot of brands but the 4E extra wide size fits me perfectly. Delivery tomTasmania was prompt.
Too soft for me. The side of the heel already gives too much just from the quick try on. shoe will wear out quickly. I only tried them on and did request a return but have not driven over on that side of the metro. I always have better luck when I go into the store and pick a shoe.
