The Superblast 2 are a well cushioned running shoe. However, if you are looking for an upgraded experience from the Novablast prepare to be disappointed. I wear I size 13…it weighs 10.6 oz compared to 10.3 for Novablast. But the HUGE difference is the length of the sole. Superblast sole is 3/4 inch longer than approximately than Novablast. Hence you will have to adjust running in shoes 2 sizes larger. ASICS has a zero return policy… once you run in them ….you own them. Unless you want to return them at a licensed ASICS distributor at a slightly used discounted price. I would have to drive 100 miles to find out that price. ASICS make some great shoes, just beware if you step out and try something new they offer and it doesn’t work for you….well as the saying goes you ... MoreThe Superblast 2 are a well cushioned running shoe. PSA: I am a beginner runner and on my first cardio session of 2024. Went through an health scare, I decided to change my lifestyle. If anyone is familiar with Runna app, I’m using this shoe in the “NTR” training plan. 1st week of running, I had shin splints. It’s been 3 years since I’ve done any cardio activity. Currently on the 2nd week of training, it’s been great with no pain and my running session is getting a bit easier. Clocked in around 8-9miles on this shoe. I am hoping to run a half marathon by December. I’d love to purchase an all white edition for race day. This is my first ever “running” shoe.

Good distance running shoes that keep your legs from getting worn out from half and full marathons. Not a lot of bounce in this shoe but decent amount; the high midsole stack makes it a little boat like, but the shoe is still pretty light. Not good for tempo runs, but will certainly keep your legs fresh and provide a decent amount of rebound to propel you a bit forward.

I bought the Paris version and just got a second pair in black. It’s a great running shoe. I run around 15 miles 5 days a week sometimes more. I alternate with the nimbus 26 and cumulus 25. Both of those shoes are great but the Superblast 2 is on another level of comfort and performance. The shoe is well made and after a month of nearly daily runs no wear and tear to mention.
Firstly I have to say I love ASICS, the Metaspeed Sky Paris is my PB shoe. But the Superblast is to me just an average trainer. Is it the 'best', well its subjective. On many accounts it is good. Preface here - I am not an elite runner at all nor run fast fast, I just run and as an average runner is this shoe a value play? Not in my opinion. Zoomfly 6 / Pegasus Plus / Hoka Mach / NB Rebel / SC Trainer any one of those shoes and more can give you a similar ride depending on your foot width and strike, equal to the blast. If you have a wide foot like me you always struggle to get a comfy fit so I'd pick the SC Trainer, but some find it a little soft, but I have never found this to be true. SB is a firmer ride but its just a smidge to much a shoe as for a wider foot I ... MoreFirstly I have to say I love ASICS, the Metaspeed Sky Paris is my PB shoe. SB is a firmer ride but its just a smidge to much a shoe as for a wider foot I needed to half size up and that solved the width issue but then now I have a brick so for me it would only be a one trick pony. Overall the shoe is good but if value is key metric you can do better and if over sizing bothers you also then you can find alternatives I think. 6/10
Absolutely love the Superblast 2. I have done every type of run in this (including some accidental light trail running in the AZ Red Rocks) and it has delivered. Feels equally comfortable at easy paces and tempo paces. Long runs, workouts, you name it, it can handle it! Feels maybe a bit more firm and responsive than V1 and my feet are happier for it. Also more breathable than V1 and a little extra tongue padding around the ankle takes away a bit of lace bite I experienced in V1 as well. Going to be on my feet for NYC 2024!
After logging over 100 miles in the Asics Superblast 2, I can confidently say these shoes are exceptional. Initially, they felt firm, but with continued use, they softened, providing comfortable support and impressive energy return during long runs. Notably, my knee pain has diminished, allowing me to run longer distances more comfortably. The shoes fit true to size and are remarkably lightweight, especially considering the substantial support they offer. Overall, the Asics Superblast 2 has significantly enhanced my running experience. Highly recommend!
Tip of the mid toes rub again toe box; I went for a size up and then the shoes is too loose.ASICS, could you reshape it as Novablast 4’s toe box? Current SuperBlast 2 toe box is too pointy.I am not enjoying leaving this review because these shoes are nearly perfect, so.. ASICS please take this as a constructive, or opportunity for model 3.
Really wanted to like these shoes. Ordered my usual size 10-½ when the Paris color way launched but felt that all of my toes were being pressed together by the toe box. Wants to try a half size up but by that point the shoe was completely sold out. Was excited when the Black colorway launched so I could try an 11. To my disappointment, my last 3 toes on each foot felt like they were pressed up against the front / medial side of the toe box. My Saucony ES4’s, and Adidas PXS1’s are all TTS and don’t have this issue, so disappointed that even at a half size up that the shape of the toe box made this an instant return for me.
I bought the black pair a couple of weeks ago and ran, averaging 40+ miles weekly on the elliptical and outside on the pavement. After 80+ miles, the shoes still feel excellent, and Superblast 2 is the best running shoe I have owned. For the last 15 years, I have loved, trained and competed wearing the Kayano's but wanted a much lighter shoe still high-quality, durable, and supportive. I needed a top-rated running shoe that could take a beating, as I average 500 miles every 3-4 months on the elliptical and outside on the pavement. I did not expect the shoes to be so incredibly lightweight, a stark difference from the Kayanos, yet they feel exceptionally durable and supportive. I plan to buy another pair of Superblast 2's in a different color and look forward to ... MoreI bought the black pair a couple of weeks ago and ran, averaging 40+ miles weekly on the elliptical and outside on the pavement.
