Sesame seeds are skilfully roasted to release a rich nutty balanced flavour. Then slowly double ground to create a creamy texture and a glossy finish. As well as using Tahini to make hummus whisk with citrus fruit juice water garlic and maybe a little honey for a fantastic salad dressing. Serve on roasted aubergines and cauliflower. Mix into yogurt with garlic and lemon to go with charcoal grilled meats or fish.Made on Mount Gerazim near a little town called Nablus - the original home of Tahini. The sesame seeds from Ethiopia are roasted not to a prescribed formula but with each batch the roasters perform their duties with their nose as well as their eyes making sure that the seeds do not catch or are over-heated. Once peeled the seeds are double-milled for an incredibly fine finish.

Roasted and ground to perfection, it makes an intense and creamy, yet light and delicate hoummus. When substituted to extra virgin olive oil it shows its true versatility. It works as a great binder. Subtle and invisible like no other brand, once mixed with other ingredients, it can enhance and enrich other flavours. Great used as spread in sandwiches instead of butter or mayo. I made it my secret ingredient. After a little taste of a regular tahini, try this one, by itself. Not only you will appreciate the huge difference but you will also understand all the amazing reviews. Remember that, after you allowed me to raise your expectations pretty high, there's always a chance that it will not work for you !

Delicious well balanced taste. Perfect with roast/grilled lamb, crispy bacon, trays of roasted vegetables, jacket potatoes, salad dressings and baking eg biscuits etcThe consistency is spot on ( but do stir well before use ) most others are too sticky/claggie. I store mine upside down in the fridge: lid v tightly on and on a bit of kitchen paper in case it leaks. So good it can be stolen for a teaspoon full when no one’s looking. Delighted Waitrose stock it

After trying virtually every brand of tahini, this is definitely the best. Belazu go into detail on the label about their authentic roasting and double grinding methods... whatever they're doing it's working as it's delicious and incredibly moreish. It's runnier than some (give it a mix through with a knife), but I don't find that a problem. There's no bitterness at all - perfect for dressings or on it's own, and it has a really lovely nutty flavour as promised. Salt isn't listed in the ingredients but I'm not sure I totally believe this as it tastes so great - perhaps the seeds are preserved in salt initially, or salted before being roasted? The only way it could be better is if it was in glass - too much plastic here with the plastic jar and a plastic sleeve.

Plastic jar, that somehow weeps sticky oil down the outside no matter how careful I was in mixing and storing. Never happened with other tahini brands. Belazu usually very reliable on their other products.
Lovely light, mild tahini, as per other reviews. However, in disagreement - it is *just* as prone to separate as as any other and just as claggy, if it has. Once it has settled, the shape of the jar makes it exceedingly tedious to reintegrate. I found it far harder to get a purchase on the solids firmly adhered to the bottom corners than it is with jars that are more squat in shape; twenty minutes of stirring upon first opening. Subsequently, with more room in the jar, shaking has been more effective, but even so, life is too short for design that puts form ahead of function.
I've been buying the Waitrose tahini forever and only tried this when it was the only one in the shop. So glad I did. The texture is light and the taste so much more subtle, without that solid mass of sesame at the bottom of the jar that never quite mixes. I add a tablespoon to salad dressings as well as using it for hummus and on steamed or roasted veggies -- delicious in both.
This is easily the best tahini I had so far. It's rather runny compared to more conventional tahini pastes, but don't let that put you off, as the taste is beautifully balanced, nutty, and the consistency silky and moreish. It's quite expensive, but I think it's well worth its price. I use it on its own and in porridge, to which it gives a smooth and nutty consistency.
Absolutely fabulous tahini, smooth and full of flavour, no bitterness or dryness on the tongue. Makes stunning hummus and dressings. It’s a staple in our fridge. Delighted to see it sold at Abel and Cole now, thank you.
In terms of quality this product is no better and no worse than others, but I have two gripes. Firstly, the jar is too deep. Tahini tends to precipitate so it is essential to stir to homogenise it. Yet the jar is so deep that my longest spoon is barely long enough to reach the bottom. Secondly, this tahini is salty. The salt is not listed in the ingredients but there is definitely extra salt added to it. I use tahini for a variety of sweet and savoury dishes, but this one is too salty to be suitable. .
Like other brands, of course you need to stir the oil back in, as it separates, but even after doing this, it was far runnier, The shape of the container makes it more awkward to do the stirring than a straight-sided jar, It is made of plastic with a non-recyclable film sleeve. The taste was fine, but overall it's not as good as Meridian and I will go back to buying that
