helmet fits good. i wear a large and the large fits nice. It feels light. not carbon fiber light. but it does feel lighter than my old Arai VX-Pro.The visor.it attaches on the sides only. nothing in the middle. and it moves up and down too easy. i was riding in winding conditions last weekend. ( my first ride with the helmet.) and the visor was blowing all the way up. i move it back down where i want it and over time the thumb screws were loosening.So. I duct taped it in place.nice helmet for a very good price. just make sure and order some duct tape in the color you want, cause you will probably need it for the visor.

Nice Helmet for the Price. Well made and cool look. The Vents on the forehead cannot be closed, that is the only downside i found so far. But as long as it is above 40F it is fine.everything else ist perfekt and the quality top notch. The Materials feel nice and it is extremely comfortable to wear.If you run the peak on the lowest position there is a wind rattle / vibration above 50mph. I adjusted the peak a bit up and the noise is gone.I can definitely recommend this Helmet.

I had no issues returning it after a year for a full refund, which is awesome! I was going to try a TLD helmet instead of the 2nd MX-9, but after ordering one in the same size as the Bell (and using TLD's size chart to verify fit), I received it and couldn't even get it on my head. Taking the visor on and off feels fiddly and a bit cheap, but not unreasonably so considering how cheap the helmet is to buy.FIT: I have a 58cm intermediate oval, got a Medium, and it fits perfect. As mentioned, I can put my glasses on wearing the helmet with no problem. I bought a pair of 100% Accuri 2 goggles to use with the helmet, and they fit the shape of the eyeport perfectly - only small gap is below the goggles where the chin bar juts out.
I got this helmet because of all the good video reviews of it, and I have to say, it immediately became my favorite helmet.I have an HJC C91, a Shoei GT Air-3 (got from Europe), an LS2 Blaze and this Bell MX-9 beat them all in all categories.I mean, the Bell has great ventilation, it is comfortable (and true to size), my cardo Freecom X4 2nd helmet kit, fit right in there with the built-in speaker recessed pockets and it is not heavy at all. What's not to like, not to mention that it looks very good.Overall, I am mad at myself for going with more expensive options (especially the Shoei that I hate, before getting this best in class for bang for the buck.

Of note, I have more of a round oval shape than intermediate oval and it's still super comfortable for my head shape. I would order yours true to size. I wore the helmet straight out of the box for my MSF course (probably 10 hrs at least between the two days) with zero discomfort. For the price, which was discounted to ~$150 when I bought it, I'd say this helmet is excellent. Love the look of it as well, the black / grey pattern is very accurately depicted in the images Revzilla lists. Also comes with a tinted visor which is neat. I picked a fight with a Maple tree on the trail at about 40-50km/per Hour and the tree won. I was knocked out on the trail for about 25-35sec (from what my riding buddies told me), however I did NOT suffer any concussion symptoms after the crash , barely had a sore neck and some minor bruising on my face. I will be buying another to replace this one that saved me. (Remember if you crash once , replace your helmet) I cannot recommend this helmet enough to anyone and everyone. The transition visor is amazing as-well, and yes you can ride it with goggles comfortably. You get every single penny worth with this helmet for ... I wear a Med and I'm guessing it's the same outer shell as the XL. This also makes it heavy, especially when all that foam is soaked with water. My neck KILLS for days after a couple hours in this helmet. I don't have any off-road toys but the weight of this helmet dry is just fine, and would probably be fine on a dirbike or ATV. It's big enough that I noticed the extra girth, so maybe don't use it in a SXS or race car/truck, and for water it's way too heavy.
I bought the black MX-9 helmet, mainly for the Mips feature which I'm not so sure about. Theres a sticker that says Mips on the back.Whenever I wear it, I receive numerous comments and even riders heading the other way take notice. For my next full-face helmet, I'm looking for something lighter.Although this helmet feels safe, I want a lighter option. It has endured several accidental drops and scratches, but after owning it for over a year, it's still holding up well.I'm confident in its safety and have no regrets about choosing it.
