As a firm believer in the power of Birkenstocks I figured I would give the Zermatts a shot. Here's a list of my pros and cons.Pros:- Comfort... super super comfy and soft, not a scratchy wool by any means- Material... my feet run hot by design but since these are wool, I don't get the stink I would get out of another lined slipper- Durability... I wear these to work at the Boulder shop all the time, throw em' on for apres, and toss them around and they haven't shown any points of weakness- Fit... true to size of a normal burk. I normally wear a 10.5/11 shoe and I got these in a 43. Don't have to deal with poking holes in the straps because the wool holds its shape :)Cons:- The only con is that these do not have the super thick cork base that you get from a ... MoreAs a firm believer in the power of Birkenstocks I figured I would give the Zermatts a shot. That said, I wouldn't count on the orthopedic benefits that your typical burk provides.Overall, the Zermatts are a stylish + comfy way to keep the house cleaner, drive back from the resort, or throw on for some errands!

Got these for my birthday to replace some Bean slippers I’ve had for over 15 years. These are super comfortable and have great support but the foot bed started losing lining at about 30 days and I had bald spots over an inch in size by 60. Contacted Birkenstock and they said that’s normal wear. Love these but would not buy them again because they just don’t hold up.

Like these slippers a lot. Saw some of the other comments saying the lining doesn’t hold up.. I can believe that since is amazingly soft at first. Shape is a bit bulky like normal burka sandals, but this is what I wanted so really like the product. Runs true to size.

I ordered these slippers online, and although they arrived quickly, they were shipped in a plastic bag and the shoe box was totally decimated. Normally, this wouldn't be an issue, but they were intended to be given as a present. I had to transfer them to another box for wrapping - which seemed a bit sketchy for the recipient. Also, the slippers seemed to have been worn and returned. There was fuzz on the soles and they seemed a bit broken in. Regardless, it was too late to exchange them so I gave them as a gift to my husband and he loved them.
As with all Birkenstocks, comfort meets style & that makes for some happy feet! Hubby found these comfortable & fit well. Should Birkenstock make additional colors, I'm sure he will want more. (Wink wink!!!!) Highly recommend these as they last for a very long time & are made very well.
Purchased these as a Christmas gift for my husband and he said the lining felt good but the insole was hard. I also tried them on like another reviewer and noticed the insole area pushing up (likely to support your insole) but it’s so hard that when you walk it hurts your feet. No amount of breaking in period I think would change the way it feels based on construction. I returned this pair and went for an alternative.
These slippers are amazing! If you've had Birkenstocks before you know the comfort once they're broken in. The fit and snugness is perfect and definitely feel like they'll keep my feet perfect all winter. If you've never had Birkenstocks before definitely go to the store to try on. You'll want to get the perfect size for your feet! I'm usually a 10-10.5 sneaker and went with a size 42 in these which runs 11-11.5. It is true to Birkenstock sizes as my sandals are also 42.
i love these birks!!! so comfy with their beautifully designed sole! i’m such a fan, the price is reasonable in my opinion. i’m happy birkenstocks have held their quality. coolest thing is the soul can be slipped out for different seasons or new soul to be purchased- genius idea to whoever designed that!
I wear a size US 9.5, got the 42’s and was a bit nervous because some people said it might be a good idea to upsize but the 42’s fit perfect. Best feeling slipper I’ve ever had, you can tell they’ve been making the soles for a long time because they feel awesome.I don’t wear slippers too often but they’re nice to have when I want to and I hope they last for a while because they’re the only slipper I can see myself purchasing. Happy with these slippers for sure.
Beautiful/unique design, in fact the minimalistic design of the shell/exterior was the whole reason I purchased these, and I wasn’t disappointed. Very comfortable. Also; I think it’d be helpful to note that I have been wearing them somewhat regularly for a week+ now and haven’t encountered anything like the ‘immediate wearing of the lining-problem’ described by most negative reviews for this product. The lining seems sturdy and in place. Only con would be that they seem to run slightly small.
