As a firm believer in the power of Birkenstocks I figured I would give the Zermatts a shot. Here's a list of my pros and cons.Pros:- Comfort... super super comfy and soft, not a scratchy wool by any means- Material... my feet run hot by design but since these are wool, I don't get the stink I would get out of another lined slipper- Durability... I wear these to work at the Boulder shop all the time, throw em' on for apres, and toss them around and they haven't shown any points of weakness- Fit... true to size of a normal burk. I normally wear a 10.5/11 shoe and I got these in a 43. Don't have to deal with poking holes in the straps because the wool holds its shape :)Cons:- The only con is that these do not have the super thick cork base that you get from a ... MoreAs a firm believer in the power of Birkenstocks I figured I would give the Zermatts a shot. That said, I wouldn't count on the orthopedic benefits that your typical burk provides.Overall, the Zermatts are a stylish + comfy way to keep the house cleaner, drive back from the resort, or throw on for some errands!

I ordered these slippers online, and although they arrived quickly, they were shipped in a plastic bag and the shoe box was totally decimated. Normally, this wouldn't be an issue, but they were intended to be given as a present. I had to transfer them to another box for wrapping - which seemed a bit sketchy for the recipient. Also, the slippers seemed to have been worn and returned. There was fuzz on the soles and they seemed a bit broken in. Regardless, it was too late to exchange them so I gave them as a gift to my husband and he loved them.

I have owned several pairs of Birkenstocks over the years and when I saw that they’d introduced slippers I had to try them! They arrived quickly and they are so comfortable. I have to say I was confused about the different styles, these ones have the typical Birkenstock footbed but a rubbery sole that should only be used indoors.I would definitely recommend them, I haven’t taken them off since they arrived! If you wear Birkenstocks, order your normal size. I am naturally a size 5.5 - 6 but always buy a 5 in Birkenstocks.

These looked perfect! Super lightweight, comfy shearling footbed. I have a very high arch so I found the felt to be a little tight across the top of my foot. Leather would stretch but I wasn’t sure the felt would, so I returned. Also of note- I have short haired dogs and their fur would stick into the felt and never let go.
These slippers are amazing! If you've had Birkenstocks before you know the comfort once they're broken in. The fit and snugness is perfect and definitely feel like they'll keep my feet perfect all winter. If you've never had Birkenstocks before definitely go to the store to try on. You'll want to get the perfect size for your feet! I'm usually a 10-10.5 sneaker and went with a size 42 in these which runs 11-11.5. It is true to Birkenstock sizes as my sandals are also 42.
Pros:- so comfortable- warm- doesn't make feet smellCons:- shearling wore away after 1 month of use. When I contacted birkenstock about this they said it's normal as shearling is natural, and that I can buy replacement inserts from (very limited) distributors. The inserts cost about the same as a brand new slipper! What's the point here? For the price I thought these would last a year+. I am so disappointed it's costing me ~$70/month to wear slippers. I think the positive reviews are of people at first glance, not after being tried and tested. I definitely love birks but would never recommend shearling soles to anyone.
I have a pair of Birkenstock slippers my son purchased about a year ago for me and absolutely won't wear any other slipper. That being said the bottom of these slippers are nothing like my original pair. My original pair more like a shoe. Also, I thought the top was a little itchy when I tried them on as there is no Sherpa lining as in my original slippers. If you look up, the different slippers that Birkenstocks makes you'll understand the difference
I wear a size US 9.5, got the 42’s and was a bit nervous because some people said it might be a good idea to upsize but the 42’s fit perfect. Best feeling slipper I’ve ever had, you can tell they’ve been making the soles for a long time because they feel awesome.I don’t wear slippers too often but they’re nice to have when I want to and I hope they last for a while because they’re the only slipper I can see myself purchasing. Happy with these slippers for sure.
Beautiful/unique design, in fact the minimalistic design of the shell/exterior was the whole reason I purchased these, and I wasn’t disappointed. Very comfortable. Also; I think it’d be helpful to note that I have been wearing them somewhat regularly for a week+ now and haven’t encountered anything like the ‘immediate wearing of the lining-problem’ described by most negative reviews for this product. The lining seems sturdy and in place. Only con would be that they seem to run slightly small.
These slippers didn’t last like normal birks do! I was so disappointed. The bottom rubber sole turned gummy and picked up every piece of dirt or hair. They made a sticking sound when walking on vinyl or wood floors. I contacted Birkenstock and they said not to expect them to last more than a year. And I only wore them in the cold part of winter! Horrible quality and I’d never buy them again. They went in the garbage.
