Today I have the pleasure of reviewing the “Elixir de Parfum” iteration of Burberry’s “Her” fragrance. This is such a beautiful perfume bottle that I wish I had to hold in person, just to enjoy its polished pinkness and simplicity. Pictured within my sample card, the full size bottle has a flattened cylindrical shape to it, and is topped by an off-center gold rimmed cap. I hadn’t realized before looking closer at my perfume sample that I actually received a special version of the famed “Her” perfume from the brand - the “Elixir de Parfum,” which is new language for me. I always thought there were just eau de parfum or eau de toilette fragrances, but apparently I was wrong. This elixir is sort of like an “intense” rendition of the original fragrance, and the bottle emulates this intensity with a more potently pink, completely opaque design, as if drying from a fresh coat of ballet slipper pink nail polish. Along the base of the bottle are the raised letters to spell the brand’s name. If “pink aesthetic” were a perfume bottle, Burberry’s Her elixir would be it. I wish my adoration for the packaging translated into my enjoyment of the scent. As it turns out, this perfume did not mix well with my chemistry. There are strong crushed berry notes at the heart of this fragrance, complimented by Jasmine and carried in a sensual base of Vanilla and Amber. Something about the pungent red berry notes in this fragrance comes across almost sour smelling with the dry down. I actually received more fragrance than is typical in these types of sample vials, and I so wish I could savor every last spray. Unfortunately, this is a miss for me, though I have to give credit for the personality and theme of this fragrance.

I absolutely love Burberry Her eau de parfum (EDP) and couldn’t wait to try the sample of this Burberry Her eau de toilette (EDT) I received from Influenster in exchange for this review… Based on the EDT description and my love of the EDP, I expected a lighter, more fresh and fruity version of the EDP. My expectations were way off; they are NOT AT ALL similar. The peony in this EDT overpowers the other fragrance notes, making it much too floral and musky for my taste. If you prefer floral scents over sweet ones, you will likely love this one. It just isn’t for me. I prefer scents similar to the Burberry Her EDP such as Baccarat Rouge 540 and Sexual Sugar. I have a fairly large collection of perfumes, ranging from designer brand to celeb perfumes and everything in between. This perfume is my number one go-to signature scent! It is so uniquely fruity and feminine, but in a very grown up way. The opening notes are black berry, sour cherry, Strawberry, raspberry, mandarin orange and lemon. It is a true fruit salad of an opening! Lol The sour cherry inclusion is what makes it so unique, IMO. I love the tartness it brings to all the sweet fruitiness! The heart of this becomes more floral with its notes being violet and jasmine. This is what starts to separate it from a typical super fruity perfume. The Strawberry and sour cherry notes are there throughout, however, so they stick around through the floral mid. This makes for a super sweet, silky, woody experience that makes this perfume so "grown up" without being "mature". The base is reminiscent to Baccarat Rouge (though not the same, for sure) and Ariana's cloud, though it is more woodsy than Cloud. The sour cherry and Strawberry are still subtly swimming in the background even hours and hours after applying, and they add such a fun, fruity pop to the super sensual base. I saw someone say that their bf described this perfume as "gummy bears that melted", and I could see that (with a lot of sensual musk added)! I absolutely adore this perfume, if you can't tell. Lol The last time and sillage are also absolutely stellar on me, which makes the price totally justified.

Adult sugary sweet smell

I don't particularly enjoy floral scents, so I generally wear things that are sweet scented, (think of things like vanilla cupcake or cotton candy) or fruity. I belive this scent is called "Gourmet", but using my previous monikers id say this is sweet scent. However it's definitely more mature than something like, say, pink sugar. It's simply decadent, and an enjoyment to wear. If you don't enjoy powdery laundry scents or floral grandma scents give this one a try! It's definitely appropriate for an adult in her 20s/30s, it may be a bit too sweet for someone older than say, 50ish, (and for a teenager I think it's a bit too mature) but honestly after the initial super sweet scent fades the lingering undertones are very elegant. Better for layering than alone

I really didn't care for this by itself. The scent isn't bold enough one way or the other, but sort of a mild attempt at floral fruity with a little depth. Nothing stands out. So for me, the blend is too middle-of-the-road, and just out of reach of what turns my senses on. However, it does layer fabulously with another lackluster perfume - Dolce&Gabbana's Light Blue. I sprayed it over this one and wow -- it turns into a totally different and very enjoyable, longer-wearing scent shockingly. What both scents lack, the other makes up for, and the two turn into the perfect marriage of fresh, zesty green with warm, mild fruits and florals. Comparing

So just like most people with perfumes, I kept seeing this perfume all over TikTok and IG and so I decided I'd go purchase it. As a fan of black opium, chance, daisy, and good girl supreme. I lean more on the light/fresh/floral scents because they seem to last the longest on my skin and this is such a great smell. Its a cute light everyday perfume that's holds its scent well. Personally I will say that it does last long, however, it turns into a faint scent. Noticeably faint. Additionally I do want to add on that I also tried Burberry's new Her "Elixir" (also because of tik tok recommendations) and it's a creamier scent of the original pink her. It's definitely a little different, it's still a light scent but it's stronger. Anywho I stuck with the original her which is this one here and let's not forget everyone's PH balance and body oils are different I just thought my two scents might possibly help someone. Over all I recommend this scent.

Girly sweet scent

This scent is very very very fruity. The fruitiest scent I own, in my opinion it’s heavier than the OG scent but I find thT this one makes more of an appearance, as the og dissipates on me like it is a body spray. And for 70$ it’s not worth it, so this is the way to go if you want these notes. It’s not identical but it’s got it’s dna if that makes any sense. My girlfriend loves this one and she’s quite picky with my scents she has a different taste than I, but I wanna smell more feminine than she does she leans towards masculine and unisex scents, this girly scent she does enjoy on me so that’s a score. For a little oil this packs a punch and I love it. It’s long lasting and noticeable. OP Burberry Her Blossom (MFK frag) Feminine

main accords floral fresh musky rose citrus powdery My friend(s) and I kept emailing OP staff asking them to create Her Blossom MFK iconic spring/summer master piece. My PERSONAL belief & opinion, OP has a habit of making Jo Malone frags BETTER than Jo Malone herself due to the EDC concentrate. MFK's nose/nez = impeccable but for whatever reason, Burberry made this masterpiece so weak, it lasts on our skin an hour or less. OP came through with this one. OP kept the SAME notes listed on Fragrantica. I showed a photo, I have the original, will layer, I immediately rollerballed Her Blossom on the back of my neck and pulse points. (I purchased the 10 ML + 60 ML) *I hope one day OP starts selling stickers to go with the 60 ml bottles. The scent of soft peonies is an instant mood lifter. I'm already 2 hours into wearing OP's version and it smells like I just rolled it on. I couldn't be happier. My friend & I placed an order the moment we saw this. This is the ONLY 'Her' line I love. OP TY, you came through, plz don't discontinue this. *Silage depends how much you roll, I could bathe in this, I sorta did via excitement and it's filling the room. This is so much better than the original when it comes to longevity.

This is the first "fruity" perfume I've ever loved

I hope this doesn't destroy the fragrance for anyone, but to me the opening notes in Burberry Her smell exactly like the 1990s strawberry Lip Smackers body spray. I'm obsessed. I took that scent to summer camp with me as a preteen and loved it more than I can describe. Burberry Her is more sophisticated than my old strawberry spray, clearly, but it has the same care-free, confident, innocent feel to it, and the nostalgia is so strong it's heartbreaking. That said, it's also a clean, light, inoffensive fragrance that's super wearable. It has the opening strawberry accord, followed by warm florals that remind me of peonies and roses, and underneath that there's some clean white musk. It's not a shower scent, but it's close. soft, beautiful, feminine scent ..

This has just recently become one of my most favorite go-to fragrances after choosing this as a sample in my Sephora order …and I have 20-30 others that I regularly rotate and wear …but I grab this one when I’m in a hurry and don’t want to think too hard about what scent to wear that day. It’s a no-brainer — soft, feminine, lovely, does NOT induce headaches when oversprayed, can wear it in the summertime without gagging that it’s too sweet/strong/cloying. Men seem to love this one (likely because yes, it’s soft and feminine). It’s sweet but definitely not overly sweet. I can’t stand sweet perfumes (they actually make me nauseous) but this one isn’t in that category. It’s a timeless scent and can be worn by young and old alike.
