Today I have the pleasure of reviewing the “Elixir de Parfum” iteration of Burberry’s “Her” fragrance. This is such a beautiful perfume bottle that I wish I had to hold in person, just to enjoy its polished pinkness and simplicity. Pictured within my sample card, the full size bottle has a flattened cylindrical shape to it, and is topped by an off-center gold rimmed cap. I hadn’t realized before looking closer at my perfume sample that I actually received a special version of the famed “Her” perfume from the brand - the “Elixir de Parfum,” which is new language for me. I always thought there were just eau de parfum or eau de toilette fragrances, but apparently I was wrong. This elixir is sort of like an “intense” rendition of the original fragrance, and the bottle emulates this intensity with a more potently pink, completely opaque design, as if drying from a fresh coat of ballet slipper pink nail polish. Along the base of the bottle are the raised letters to spell the brand’s name. If “pink aesthetic” were a perfume bottle, Burberry’s Her elixir would be it. I wish my adoration for the packaging translated into my enjoyment of the scent. As it turns out, this perfume did not mix well with my chemistry. There are strong crushed berry notes at the heart of this fragrance, complimented by Jasmine and carried in a sensual base of Vanilla and Amber. Something about the pungent red berry notes in this fragrance comes across almost sour smelling with the dry down. I actually received more fragrance than is typical in these types of sample vials, and I so wish I could savor every last spray. Unfortunately, this is a miss for me, though I have to give credit for the personality and theme of this fragrance.

Have been eyeing this too long. Blind purchase. It smells delicious. It has the same DNA as the OG but this has a touch of strawberry mixed wirh vanilla and amber. If you love vanilla and amber this is a safe blind purchase. It also lasts much longer than the OG but it still could have more longevity so i gave it four stars. This is also beautiful for layering. You could literally layer almost any vanilla or gourmand leaning scent with this and it will smell divine. I bought the 100 ml at $180 so its not super expensive but its also not cheap either. Will have this in heavy rotation. A scent for any season. Because it dries down to a super warm vanilla amber scent with a touch of strawberry it works in colder weather as well. This is a "cute", feminine, easy to wear fragrance that fortunately is in a bottle that is front and center display worthy for its simple sleek design ... in a soft petal pink. The fragrance itself is popular because it just works. Powdery, a bit of musk or vanilla, and then amongst it all you get the semi sweet strawberry layed with it all. Somehow a bit sweet but not in a childish fruity type of way. A mature and wearable version of strawberries and cream. And I can understand why it is associated with some certain comparable fragrances. The plus is this is a sweet spot price wise and performance. Of all the Burberry Her flankers this is my favorite- mostly bc it's a bit more luxe intense notes which in turn also yeilds more silage. A decadent (sweet) and full bodied perfume for grown women. "HER" Elixer did not come here to play! Notes - Top: Strawberry, Blackberry | Heart: Jasmine | Base: Vanilla, Amber, Sandalwood. Upon first sniff she reminds me of my childhood, that Nestlé "Strawberry" milk I use to drink...but in a sophisticated kind of way...not quite milkshake smelling. The strawberry has depth and theres a creaminess to it minus the lactonic note. I'm usually not a fan of Jasmine, but in this fragrance it is done so well that I cannot discern that particular note. My skin chemistry pulls the Amber and Strawberry mostly; and although Strawberry is a fruity note, this scent is suitable all year round due to its Sandalwood and Amber base. She is simply one of my most adored perfumes in my fragrance collection.

Clean Girl Out Of Shower Vibes

This perfume and I have been on an indecisive and lengthy journey. When this perfume was first released at the end of 2022, there was so much hype, there still is so much hype. I had to get it. I got it and was shocked how different it smelled from what I expected. Every influencer that could get their hands on it hyped it up to being a sugary sweet strawberry milkshake scent. I didn't get that, so I returned it. Throughout thw year of 2023, I smelled Burberry Her and Butberry Her Elixir on so many people, and whenever I would go into a Sephora or an Ulta , I would spray it on my clothes and skin. Slowly, I got to appreciate this smell. I think the problem is that the description that everyone gave is not correct or at least for my nose it is. It smells like a scent Dove soap brand has sold. It is very much so a clean scent and is very safe for the workplace. if you are gonna over spray on skin with lotion and then on clothing, this perfume will last forover on you. if you spray on pulse point only, scent will be gone after 4-5 hours. I bought a full bottle today because I've adore the clean girl vibes and layers with many scents I own.

Girly, strawberry nostalgia

Anyone who says this smells like a strawberry milkshake has lost their credibility, lol. There is literally no milk note intended to be in this whatsoever, it's not even listed - I'm beginning to wonder if people can't differentiate between lactonic and *p o w d e r y*, because this is POWDERY, not "creamy or milky". BUT I like it because it's nostalgic. I had a doll that smelled like strawberries as a kid, and this is like that. The berry smell isn't realistic, it's super artificial. Gonna wear it anyway because it's girly, fun, and reminds me of being a little. I can see and smell strawberry candles, bubblegum tape, lip gloss in a wearable plastic ring, butterfly hair clips, glittery body spray, and colorful Lisa Frank stickers. <3

HER Burberry

I received this parfum for Christmas from my son. When I opened the package and saw it was Burberry, I wasnt to excited due to the fact that in the past I had purchased Burberry perfume and the smell was horrible that it completely turned me off from Burberry! So I opened the packagin, sprayed it on my wrist, still not impressed at this point! Until, a few minutes later when I smelled my wrist again. OMG! I immediately fell in love with the scent. The dry down is absolutely amazing. I even love it immediately after spraying it on initially. My youngest daughter even caught a smell of it and asked what I was wearing. When i asked her why (because they are very judgmental sometimes on fragrances) she says because it smells really good. Sweet and Enjoyable

I was lucky enough to be chosen by Influenster and Burberry to receive this perfume in exchange for my honest opinion. I am far from a perfume expert but I really love it and wear it just about every time I leave home. I have a lot of favorites which usually tend to be clean, rich amber, jasmine, and citrus scents. When I first sprayed this perfume on, I smelled what reminded me of a baby powder-like scent along with what I can only describe as sweetness. While I definitely like sweetness, the powder, unfortunately, is not one of my favorites and I was worried I really wasn’t going to like it. A few days later, I tried it once again. This time I had a repeat episode of smelling the powder strongly at the beginning but later in the day smelling the amber and this time I smelled more of a fruity smell as well, that I really enjoyed. Again, these are not normally notes I prefer, but they really were very lovely in this perfume and they work so nicely together. While I am definitely not a fan of the powder scent, the other notes are so pleasant, that I will definitely keep it in my rotation and would consider purchasing this perfume in the future. I give it 3.5-4 stars!

Sweet fruity gourmand!

To start off, when it comes to fragrances, gourmands are my favorite and my second favorite is fruity, so I was very excited to try this. I really enjoyed this! It smells almost identical to the original Burberry Her but with a little more sweetness. Definitely get a strawberry shortcake vibe with this scent as the strawberry note is prominent. The dry down is a very creamy vanilla. I only put a spray on each wrist and dabbed any excess on the sides of my neck. It lasted about 5 hours on my skin while wearing it for the day before I would have to sniff my wrists up close to smell it as strongly as I did earlier in the day. A few people were able to smell it on me within the first couple hours of me wearing it so the sillage seems to be average.
