Love the color and the quality of the boot for sure. The customer service on the other hand is what will make this purchase memorable. Bought these because I didn't like the performance of the Flows that I had previously purchased. Chat Online care turning into Red Carpet service with quick responses and great communication which got me a return in turn making this purchase. THEN visiting the Denver location while in town and had them heat molded along with insole recommendations. Super Happy with the experience.

I have been snowboarding for almost ten years and have never tried Burton Step Ons before. The main concern I had was that the bindings were going to feel loose and be unresponsive. After testing them out, I realized I was completely wrong. The Burton Photon and the Step On bindings were very stiff and super responsive- just the way I like my set up. The step on's felt very secure and rode like normal pair of boots and bindings. I spend a couple runs doing some aggressive turns trying to put the step ons to the test, but they never budged! It was an awesome feeling being able to roll of the chairlift and just step on and go without ever stopping! I 100% recommend the Burton Step Ons. The Photons were my first experience with Burton Quick Pull, and I really liked ... MoreI have been snowboarding for almost ten years and have never tried Burton Step Ons before. The Photons were my first experience with Burton Quick Pull, and I really liked them. One downside with the Quick Pull system and the Photons specifically is that there’s a lot going on and when the boot is all the way undone, with wires going everywhere. They make it easy to store the laces after the boot is done up or when you’re ready to put them away, so it’s only a problem if you’re tired/lazy and don’t put the boots away properly.

I bought these boots to pair with the Step On Flex bindings and have used them a few times. The boots themselves are super comfortable. I had a 2 year old pair of Photon boots that were way less comfortable, so these are great from a "fit and finish" perspective.Additionally, the step on system is a game changer. I'm a big guy (6'6 285lbs) and riding with the step on boots and bindings was more comfortable and responsive than any other combination I've ever ridden. I've had strap in bindings and rear-load bindings (Flow) and they were always hard to get in and out of and constantly needed adjustment for tightness. With these boots, I get the right support by tightening the 2 boa knobs and I'm set for the day. Then to get on the board, all it takes is to step down ... MoreI bought these boots to pair with the Step On Flex bindings and have used them a few times. The boots themselves are super comfortable. Couldn't be more simple and easy, and it feels better on top.

Great step on boot. This was the only place I could find the size. Evo is great. In hindsight, its a difficult setup to get for kids. The binding max out at this boot size. My daugher is 10 and will likely grow out of the boots before next season. That means I was only able to get one season of use from her bindings and boots. Just keep that in mind if you are getting step ons for kids. You are a little limited on stuff as the kids feet grow.
I used to have Switch step-in bindings and boots many years ago. Since Switch closed, I've been yearning Burton to make a step-in boot and binding that is strong, easy to entry and release and can go a few seasons. The Photon's ankle strap makes this Boa lace system feel like a regular strapped in Burton binding system. Good flex on the ankle area while still providing stiff support where you need it. Super easy to tie up and release the boot with Boa.
I chose the product because I was looking for a versatile boot for allmountain riding and also splitboarding. I mostly ride freeride and piste, but sometimes park as well. So my boot needed to be stiff, but not too much. I was also looking for a boot with boa lacing, so I can adjust them on-the-go. I tried on size 45 and size 44.5 EU, and found out that they fit perfectly in the 44.5 size, which is my normal shoe size. A good Vibram sole is also important to me to give me grip when hiking in the mountains.I tested the boots for a couple of weeks, I rode on slopes, in the backcountry and went splitboarding with them. They were comfortable from the very beginning, the added adjustability of the double boa meant I could tighten or loosen them whenever I saw fit. They were comfortable from the very beginning, the added adjustability of the double boa meant I could tighten or loosen them whenever I saw fit. They also held up wonderful while splitboarding, I like the fact that they are a bit reinforced on the sides to prevent boot damage and you can quickly switch between walking and riding due to the boa lacing. Another feature I like is the side boa, which really pulls your heel into the boot when needed, for example on aggresive fast runs down the hill. The Vibram sole helps you get grip on icy surfaces, it helped us push our car out of the snow for example. I have not yet found any problems with the boot.To sum it up, this is a boot you can wear for every day on the mountain, you cant go wrong with it. I would recommend it for riders, who are searching for an allmountain boot, it is a bit on the stiff side so only park riders would need to go for a softer boot.
Background, Used to snowboard as a kid n early teens many moons ago. Fast forward to me at 33yo trying to pick up snowboarding again and failing so hard my butt is paying for it, literally. I rented normal shoes last year and was pretty disgusted with myself at how many times I had to unstrap from getting stuck on greens. HELLO STEP ONS! I found myself waiting at the bottom of the hill and at the top of the mountain for my friends to strap in and I never had to sit once to get going. Even after stalling I'd quickly step out, give a lil push and step right back in. It feels no different to me than normal bindings n shoes. The insoles that came with the boots were high quality and didnt need to be replaced with custom ones since it fit so perfectly to my feet ... MoreBackground, Used to snowboard as a kid n early teens many moons ago. Tossed the thermal liner into the oven at 200degrees for 15min and after molding they fit like a glove. Highly recommended shoe!
I love these boots so much! The boas and quick pull setup make tying up an easy and painless task. No fiddling with laces in the cold anymore. The insoles that come with are incredibly well built and also very supportive, plus they dry very fast!!!The boot itself is really stiff which is what I was looking for. They were comfortable the first day I took them out, and are getting more and more comfy every ride. The wide model really helped me have enough room in the front.
For the 1st time I tried the Burton step on boots and bindings on the slope. It was just perfect. Extremely fast and easy stepping in and out. Very responsive combination, better than any bindings with straps I had tried. The boots get locked in the binding very perfectly, as if they are just one unit. And to the Photon boots, they are very stiff but also comfortable. The foam inside shapes to your feet. After about one hour, they feel comfprtable but also holding so tightly that there is no room for your ankle to move loosely.I could really not expect better!
I actually owned the 2019 version of this boot and it saw a lot of use. I decided I wanted to go up a 1/2 size. I was banking on the boot breaking in a bit for more room. Turns out Burton makes quality products and this is not a thing like it was in the past with snowboarding boots. This boot really stayed true to size. For the first time ever, I purchased the same boot I already own. I have been riding since the early 90's, and I usually look for something new or different when I upgrade my boots. This Burton boot is wonderful. It really held up to the abuse from my bindings being taken on and off. Most boots will start to wear pretty noticeably on the rear foot from the constant on and off. I reside in the midwest, so these boots have seen many cold days and lots ... MoreI actually owned the 2019 version of this boot and it saw a lot of use. I decided I wanted to go up a 1/2 size. I reside in the midwest, so these boots have seen many cold days and lots of short runs. As well, a few trips out west to get my fill of the real mountains. They worked flawlessly for all of these applications. I have had a few BOA boots over the years from other brands. There were some great ones in there, but this boot is really next level. It is well built, comfortable and zero slop. Well done Burton.
