Seeing as most people who review don't supply adequate information on fit and size aside from height and weight which is a poor indicator of fit, I thought I would endeavor to write a more helpful review. To start, here are my measurements:Height: 6' 1" (barefoot)Weight: 165 lbsChest: 44" (Circumference measurement across shoulders: 46.5" )Waist: 31"Arm length: 33.5" (measured from center of spine, off the shoulder, down to my wrist)If you're new to Charhartt clothing, shirts in particular, they will run a size larger than most brands. Typically I wear a large in shirts and prefer a 35" sleeve length as I like longer sleeves. In Carhartt I wear a medium in all their tops, shirts, sweatshirts and jackets.I bought both the light blue and dark blue colors in this particular shirt. They are more or less a chambray work shirt and don't look as substantial and crisp as in the photos on Carhartt's site. I was expecting something with a slightly heavier fabric. These shirts are fairly light-weight and well suited for warmer weather. The dark blue was almost two inches shorter in the length of the body and sleeves than the light blue. I felt the light blue had a good length overall with the sleeves being just right. One thing I didn't care for in the cut was the curve of the cut at the bottom of the shirt; it is brought up on the sides creating a "U" shape design when viewed from the front or back. A straight cut would have been more my preference. The cut is a relaxed fit and tents out a bit from the body. A slightly fitted cut would have been nicer, but I realize I'm not the norm when it comes to body shape these days so I tend to pay twice to have my shirts fitted after purchase. The fit is comfortable through the shoulders and chest and isn't restrictive through movement. I washed these shirts on cold and lined dried to avoid any shrinkage. Prepare to spend some time with an iron and scissors. The amount of wayward strings on these shirts was reminiscence of basic training in the military and having to police my uniforms. I spent a good thirty minutes on each shirt just removing loose strings before ironing; once ironed, the shirts looked more presentable. These shirts also have the buttoned collar stays (not a fan). If you don't button down the collar the extra fabric used on the back side of the shirt to secure the buttons will peak through if you leave the top one or two buttons undone on the front of the shirt. Most likely I will be removing the buttons to remedy this .So there you have it, hopefully this review provides enough information for those that are seeking it. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be buying any more shirts from Carhartt.

Good shirt, but the buttons, especially the top button, are misaligned. On a cold morning when I button the shirt up to the neck, it makes a little gap between the first and second button that looks weird and allows ventilation. Maybe it's me, but none of my other work clothes create this extra gap. All my carhartt clothes that have buttons do this little "poof" at the neck. It's not that big a deal, just a little something that is frustrating. Makes me self-conscious. Takes away my power as the alpha...beta...zeta?

Yes, these are nice shirts. However, Carhartt likes sticking it to us. Small and 2XL may be the same price, so why is 2XL to 2XL TALL $5 more? There is a greater material difference between small and 2XL. I remember when I didn't need a tall. Maybe if Carhartt stopped supporting 3rd world countries where 5'6'' was considered tall, hard-working Americans wouldn't have to pay the price for corporate gain. BTW Carhartt, IMPORTED is not a country!!

I had purchased one for him last year, hoping it would fit and be comfortable enough that he would wear it for sun protection. He is 6ā 7ā, and weighs 240, and the 2x Tall fits well. He has worn it nearly every day, farming, calving, fixing fence, and working on equipment. I ordered him 4 more, 2 for now and 2 for later. He likes the light blue, but is hard on clothes, and Iām hoping the darker will hide some stains. When he does laundry, itās in on heavy duty warm water, then into the dryer, also on heavy duty. Very minimal shrinkage. I may purchase a few more so heāll have enough for several years.
Fits just right. Nice, soft fabric. It has flaps over the pockets to keep out foreign material. Ordering was easy. Delivery was fast.
Shirts (I purchased 2 this time) fit well and are very comfortable. Material is reasonably soft, but still holds up to tough work.I am an operator/foreman for a general engineering contractor, and in dust and dirt daily. A quick blow off with some compressed air, keeps it looking good all day.I wear with undershirt, or without, depending on the weather. Keeps the sun off my already toasted fore arms.
This is one of the best chambray (if not THE best) work shirts Iāve found. And Iāve been hooked on chambray shirts for around 60 years. Iām impressed with the apparent ruggedness of the fabric and the medium weight makes it possible to wear year āround. The loose fit and cut of the sleeves make it to roll up past the elbow. The loose fit also makes this shirt easy to work in but not so loose that it presents a danger while using power tools. Would I wear this shirt with a tie and slacks were I 50 years younger? Probably, but I was a hippie. I recommend the shirt as daily all-round, comfortable for chores and errands. But does spiff up with a little starch and an iron. After all, the shirt has a button down collar. Which I could live without.
Have owned for about a year now, wear off and on about 5 times. (In Houston we dont have a very long winter where long sleeve shirts make sense. ) This is a good shirt, available in large tall that is actually long vs. fat. I am not a "working man", rather an office worker, wear this shirt on weekends and such. Great, decent looking shirt for winter wear around the area, I definitely look a bit better dressed than average folks I see, but not overdressed.
This shirt is too big and I can't wear it. Would like to send it back but I washed it in hope that it works shrink.I just reordered two relaxed fit and I hope for the best. I could not locate normal lashes large on the website which is the size indicated on my existing Carhartt shirt that I was trying to replace
This is a great looking & feeling shirt. It has a more finished look that can pair with slacks for a night out, or with shorts for a casual day at the beach or on the trails. It comes out of the wash looking as good as new without ironing or any fuss. It's light weight for hot weather, or for layering in cooler weather. I bought one for my husband to try, and then immediately ordered all the other colors. He loves it!
