I have three of the zeiss filters. 2 UV and 1 circular polarizer. All clear no distortion. I bought some cheap filters at the beginning of this photography journey and wasted cash. I look for high number of coatings, and high percentage of light transmission. 99 or better. Everyone loves my photos. That’s the most important.Hope this helps.

I purchased this Zeiss UV filter mostly as protection for my Nikon 24-70mm, f/2.8 lens. It?s a fantastic, high-quality filter that does exactly what it is supposed to. No glare or ghosting in any of my images, even when shooting against the sun. Really excellent! Holds the lens cap well, too.As an added plus, I really like the storage container the filter comes in. Nice quality and sturdy, doesn?t accidentally open, no sliding around.

I recently bought Zeiss filters for the first time, to pair them with Zeiss Loxia lenses, and the first results are very satisfactory. It is difficult to say for certain that the filters made the difference, unless I had the same photographs taken without them, or with another make of filters, but I just upgraded some other lenses with the same filters too. I was surprised to see their resistance to flare when taking photographs in direct sunlight.
I use Zeiss UV filters on all of my lenses. It goes on as soon as the lens comes out of the box and rarely comes off, only to use other filters. I feel much better about cleaning this all the time than the element of the lens itself (especially on a $1300 Batis). I also like the actual protection that it offers the front element as opposed to the protection of the lens hood that some people claim. No, there is no loss of quality or additional glare by anyone's standards. I do not agree with the camp that says that you should not use UV filters for protection because of a loss in quality. I believe that this might be true of cheap filters, but certainly not these.
I use the Zeiss UV filters on the front of every lens I own. They provide top-shelf protection against the elements, and are extremely easy to screw on and off. Never once have one of these filters gotten jammed onto one of my lenses. While they do provide excellent protection, I never shoot with one of these UV filters on the lens. I prefer to only use a filter when absolutely necessary (i.e. ND filters or a polarizer)...otherwise I want nothing between the lens and the subject. Any UV filter, regardless of its quality, can introduce flair or other unwanted reflections if you are shooting directly into the sun or into another light source.
Carl ZEISS T* UV Filter makes colors more realisticLightweight, portable and easy to use. Used with Hasselblad cameras and lenses, the photos taken have the feel of film.
I've always been a Nikon DSLR photographer. To change things up I decided to purchase a Canon point and shoot. I chose the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-HX400V which came with a Zeiss lens. I've been shooting with the new camera and the ZEISS 55mm Carl ZEISS T* UV Filter has been flawless. I shot the attached photo yesterday with the camera and filter. I didn't know roses could bloom in November but it's 2020 so anything can happen.
It screws into the lens tightly and I expect that no dust will penetrate. The clarity is great. One odd thing is that it allows another filter to be added to it but Leica recommends not to do it... so why?Very pleased
I've used most the high end uv filters over the past 10 years. This one is by far the most crisp and clear I've used. If you're going to spend thousands on a nice lens, make sure you use the best filter and this is it
