This overall good quality school shoe, however, after my 7th year in a row purchasing Clarkâs school shoes for my kids, I strongly recommend going a size above the in store fitting measurements as they always end up being a bit too snug when they arrive. Iâve been told the shoe needs to âwear inâ but this makes little difference. It would be great if there wear sizing shoes available in store (even if there is no stock in store) to allow for a proper fit out to support online orders. Aside from that, the shoes arrived quickly, they just wonât be of much use beyond the last few weeks due to the sizing issue, despite having gone a size up from the in store measurements provided. 3 stars for quality, 2 stars for comfort/sizing compared to most other shoes. Thank you.

These shoes are nicely cushioned, and didnât require the âwearing inâ that other school shoes require. No complaints of sore feet from miss 5 either. The fit is a little on the wider side.

This is a great shoe! Especially for a child like my son who has Down Syndrome. The straps are easy to undo and he's able to put them on himself (he's in kindergarten). There are not a lot of school shoes with straps, so finding this shoe was awesome. Feels very sturdy too. Would definitely buy this shoe again.

Great shoes, lasts the school year. Second time purchase. Other cheaper pairs had the leather on the front famaged and discolored pretty soon. Expensive for a preppie but looks good and new through the year with the lasting leather.
My son had these last year played soccer in them he outgrew them before they broke so have purchased again this year. They are comfortable and a perfect fit highly recommend them.

A great sturdy shoe and the perfect gender-neutral, Velcro-fastening alternative to the Mary Jane style. My only complaint is that the loops didn't last the whole year (so it didn't fasten very well towards the end of the year) but I just stuck some Velcro tape over the top, which solved the issue.
Best shoes I've brought for my boys, every other shoe has successfully failed after a few months of wearing. These Clark's shoes lasted my prepy boy the whole year with everything still in one piece! I have to admit the scuff marks on the front did happen on the front of the shoes within day 1 of school but just used abit of school polished and it done the trick. Nothing like a good feeling not having to buy multiple shoe shoes throughout the year for your kid
These shoes are great! My son started kindy last year and these were his first pair, he grazes the front as most boys do. Half way through the year we switched to another shoes and they didn't last 5 weeks and had holes. I will continue to buy these as I know they last for my child and we haven't had a hole at all (I like to buy every 6 months). No blisters or anything concerns and inserts can be added/removed as needed.
My grandson was so pleased with his new school shoes. He, like a lot of active eight year olds had kicked the life out of his previous school shoes to the extent the top front toes area had worn to the fabric beneath ( they were a well known school brand). He has worn his Clarks leather shoes for several weeks and although toe scuffed through tough use, a spot of polish does the trick.
