Garbage

This tent is trash. Received for a Christmas gift. It was almost a year before I got a chance to use it. First time out of the box the elastic in the poles was completely stretched. When I got it set up, the door was pulled so tight in one spot that I felt like I was going to tear it getting it zipped up. I tried adjusting the guy lines but nothing helped. Use it for 2 weekend trips, then on the 3rd, one of the poles snapped during setup. I was able to replace the pole and on my last trip the loop the poles go through started tearing. At the end of the weekend it went straight to the dumpster. Could not have been more disappointed in a product. Last time I buy from Coleman.

Good for the price.

Large roomy tent at a good price-point. We've only used it once, but the kids loved the size. My complaints: The "snag-free" pole sleeves are not. I already tore one sleeve. The bag needs a redesign. There's an expansion on the bottom which is not effective and you have to jam this monster in there. The tent pole elastic bands need to be tighter to keep the collapsible poles snapped in place when putting it together. The long poles kept falling apart when trying to thread the sleeves on set-up & tear-down. The door is nice, but you needs more/better velcro to keep it closed with the zipper open. If you use the zipper it has to be fully open to keep from tripping on the bottom or snagging your head - the kids just kinda jumped through whatever hole was available. Mixed feelings on this tent

We got this tent for our first camping trip with the kids, we have a 5yo and 3yo twin boys. The tent was plenty spacious for us all, we had two queen air mattresses inside, with room for all our stuff and a lot of walking room left. Setting it up was easy and on par with most tents that I have set up before. The second day camping, was rain all day, going from drizzles to downpours frequently, windy as well. The tent did better than expected as I did not get a chance to spray it down with repellant or seal the seams as I had planned. We stayed dry though, could definitely feel some moisture in certain parts, but it didn't fully leak through. I set up the tent at home to make sure there were no issues and familiarize myself putting it up, and highly recommend doing so. I put the tent up by myself, but recommend a second pair of hands. It took me at least 40 minutes to put it up the first time, which will be a lot faster now that I won't have to stare at the instructions. The instructions are attached inside of the storage bag and are slightly vague, but laying out all the poles on the ground first is a big help. I've kept the tent up for 2 weeks, and it's rained 3 times, with 2 of them being storms. We had a heavy rain of 1-1/2 inches last night, and the inside of the tent is dry. The hinged door is handy, but the Velcro on it could use more surface area. Over 12 years old, still going strong.

I love this tent! We bought it at Bass Pro Shop back in 2010 or 2011. Our kids were small and there was a ton of room. Now our kids are huge and there is still a ton of room. Plenty for two adults on the large Coleman cots, a 6ft 13 year old boy, two preteen girls, and two large dogs. The screen ceiling is great. Lots of airflow for those warm nights and a fantastic view. The rainfly barely leaked on us one time during a very severe thunderstorm, but it wasn’t much and hasn’t since then. Emergency sirens were going off in the distance and trees were falling, but we did alright. The door pole snapped years ago but was easy to repair. Rainproof, Easy Setup, Lasted 5 years

On the fifth year I had To waterproof it but the seams were failing, as ants were getting in, so we decided to pitch it , no pun intended. Because of this tent I only planned to go with Coleman when replacing it as I was happy with most of its features. I wish the springy door actually worked - we omitted the poles every time and just zipped up a loose fabric door because otherwise the tension was too hard on it. Wanted a quick set up

Bought this summer to camp intending to set up by myself. It is simple with very few steps but Nearly impossible without help. Long poles perplexed me as to how they were supposed to bend to form the dome. Are they supposed to bend? One snapped and my son and I had fiberglass all over our hands. Keeping one end stable was almost impossible. (Thank you, Duct Tape!) Entry door nice feature but I think I tripped on it about 800 times. It’s just too high on the bottom. Don’t the designers make a prototype first??? I’ve read the other reviews and they all complain of the same thing. The pole section that broke is in the middle so I have no idea what to do next year. It’s definitely big enough and not one bug got in! However, the long pole set up next year scares me.

Will sadly be returned.

I wanted to love this tent. It’s spacious while as easy to set up as a much smaller one. All packed up it is easy to carry. I love the height that allows for plenty of standing room.However, the fiberglass rods, especially the thinner ones for the door start to come fray straight away.That’s not the worst part though. The rain fly does not do its job. After about 25 minutes of medium strength rain, it began to leak. Drops collected and eventually we had a trickle, soaking our bedding and forcing us to find shelter elsewhere.It’s really too bad, because in terms of layout it’s wonderful, it just needs to be made of more reliable material.
