I struggle to find size 17 shoes for my boyfriend. He doesn't get many options, and I can't just walk into a store and buy his size. When I find his size anywhere, I don't hesitate to purchase. My second pair of Columbia shoes. The first pair is a few years old and has been worn several days a week in many different locations. They are still good for daily wear but are no longer appropriate other than for around the house or at the shooting range. The new pair is slightly different as the old ones are no longer available for purchase. These fit and feel just as good as the old pair and are ready for being worn anywhere I go. You will not be disappointed.

Excellent price as usual through Academy for these. About the 3rd pair I have purchased in the last 7 years. I use them for work at a local utility. Always need something comfortable and with a stable footprint. These are the shoes. They give me a solid 18 months - 2 years.

I've bought at least a dozen shoes from Columbia over the years. I like the technology and fit very much. I bought two pair of Crestwood hiking boots, replacing others i had already bought and worn out. However these two pairs have a design flaw. The factory insert moves back and rides up over my heel, hurting me. I finally had to stop using them entirely. I had to stop many times per day, to take the shoes off and jam the insert down into the front of the shoe. So, two of the same items with the same issue. I could go to a cobbler and have him glue them down, or try to buy aftermarket inserts but this seems silly when the factory inserts are designed for the shoe, and should not move as they do. The shoes are pretty comfortable when new. They have a very good tread pattern with lots of grip. The shoes do hold together for a long time - my first pair is 3 years old and is still in mostly usable shape. The biggest problems I have are that the factory insoles wear out sort of quick for a shoe in this price range, and the shoes get a bad cat urine smell after 6-8 months of use. A new pair of Dr Scholl's fixes the insole issue, and a can of "Fresh Fogger" keeps the stench down somewhat. I'm on my third pair of these shoes in 3 years, and like I said, the first pair is still wearable (but the wife won't let them in the house because of the stink).
Good quality shoes. I have worn Columbia before and they last well and keep your feet dry. These shoes are a bit narrower than previous pairs so may need a couple of outings to stretch.
Love these shoes. Very comfortable. Great for walking my 6k steps each day. This is my second pair. My previous pair is still going strong into the second year.
Like the shoes, always have. Only thing that puts me off is the quality of the laces. YES, the laces. Within 6 months or less I have to switch out the laces as the exterior separates from the "core" of the laces. This pair not even 6 months and BAM, laces degloving themselves. The pair before just snapped and the pair before that went with both degloving and snapping.
This is the first pair of shoes I have purchased online. I went to the local academy and they had a slim selection of size 14 outdoor shoes. I ordered these through the app and was glad I did. I read several reviews before I purchased, so my recommendation is go ahead and buy them. Academy normally has a better selection of larger shoes than most other stores, I will continue to buy here.
Shoes were delivered promptly. Went from the box onto my feet and straight into a rugged two mile hike on uneven trails. Absolutely no new shoe discomfort at all. Arch support was very good and the fit was exactly right. Ordered my normal shoe size and the fit was perfect. Looking to purchase another pair of these shoes, I like them that much.
