Swapped to the continental urban after a blow out meant I had to replace a tyre. I liked at the reviews and thought I'd give them a go and I've been very impressed. I have a 4 mile commute and since fitted the weather hasn't been too bad. I've ridden them in the rain and dry weather, and they have been solid. They are semi slicks but they have good grip in the wet weather. Very happy with the purchase.

My second pair this time , no U turn . Lighter , smooth, my pair old one got puncture twice between 3 years. I commute urban and countryside. A lot rough road surfaces. My old pairs still alright . Brought new pair for spares at good prices. If you looking good set to running , I recommend this one

A durable tire lighter than Marathons?

Finally got out this week to try out the new. Contis. I purchased these tires with durability in mind as I hate tire problems on the road. They are signicantly lighter than my standard all around favorites Schwalbe Marathons, so we will see how they rate comparatively for durability . I am very happy with the Smooth rolling on pavement and so far seem pretty tough on some less than perfect gravel and stone paths along the canals in the Phoenix area. They are responsive on turns and handle well. They were difficult to mount on the rims that I own and sacrificed one tube in the mounting process so hoping no flats on the road. As with all tires time will be the ultimate test.

Brilliant tyres

Put these Continental Contact Urban tyres on my Trek Marlin 7 today a tried out for 5 miles. They seem really good quality, time will tell. Compared to the Maxxis Ikons on road they are really fast and smooth going. I mainly ride on tarmac, a bit of uneven gravelly areas, so my mtb is mostly a road.Really easy to fit on my 29 wheels, all done within an hour. I had a bit of a problem seating them correctly but when inflated to 48 psi, rear and 45 psi front they just popped right into place perfectly after a few loud noises of the tyres seating properly.Rock hard at 48 psi so I may not go up to the 65 psi max.Delivery took a bit longer than expected, but worth the wait.They really seem to be top quality tyres, easy fitting the 28 x 2.2's to my 29 wheels.10/10. ... MorePut these Continental Contact Urban tyres on my Trek Marlin 7 today a tried out for 5 miles. Fast-rolling tires

I wanted to test these tires as an alternative to the heavier Schwalbe marathon and harsher Conti Gator Hardshell, both of which also generate more rolling resistance. The Conti Contact Urban tires do feel a little bit faster and the 32 version can be used with 4.5 bar, a comfortable pressure level. So far so good. Easy to mount and no flats until now (200 km). Used mostly on paved roads.

Great tires for ebikes used in city streets

These tires roll a lot better than the schwalbe tires G-one. They are thinner 1.60 " versus 2.25". They handle a lot more air pressure 94 PSI. So they roll a lot faster, about 3 MPH faster. They a lot easier to install than the schwalbe tires. They are also quieter on the road. I would recommend these tires for ebikes that are used for commuting on city streets. They are not made for off road, they will not handle well on the gravel/dirt roads. Lastly, due to the higher air pressure you can fell the road a lot more, but for me I'll take that because they roll a lot faster and make riding the ebike a lot more fun.

Great upgrade for a cheap bike

I have a cheap commuter bike that I slapped these on. The original tires were Giant PR-2s which are fine, but they are super hard. They really trade puncture resistance for comfort.These tires make the bike feel like a whole other bike. You always hear about what a great upgrade new tires experiencing it is different. These tires practically eliminate road buzz. I don't even feel like I need to ride with gloves anymore and my butt feels much better after a ride too. They're sticky too. Squeak all over the place when you're trying to move the bike around. They're also reasonably easy to install, but I definitely needed my tire levers.

It suits this bicycle

It is a quality product that suits this type of bicycle. I bought the BMC Alpenchallenge because it is a cruising type bicycle with no suspension. These tyres and the seat give the bike a cushion effect without any suspension. The bicycle came with this tyre. I had to replace one of the tyres and I wanted to continue with the same tyre.
