Our go to everyday sneaker. The All Star Chuck ’70 is Converse's re-crafted sneaker that uses modern details to celebrate the original Chuck Taylor All Star from the 1970s. It features a slightly higher rubber foxing, a cushioned footbed that provides long-lasting comfort and a more substantial rubber toe cap. Additional vintage details include stitching on the sidewall and a heavier-grade canvas upper for comfort and durability. They join iconic Chuck Taylor attributes such as the star-centred ankle patch and vulcanised rubber outsole.100% cotton canvas.Converse sizing is in men's US sizes, please refer to our size guide to find your correct size.About The BrandLaunched in 1908 by Marquis Mills as ‘Converse Rubber Shoe Company’, the company specialised in rubber-soled footwear (galoshes) for men, women and children. By 1910, Converse had begun manufacturing shoes daily, while in 1915, the company switched focus to creating athletic shoes. It wasn't until 1921 when Charles H. “Chuck” Taylor joined Converse after complaining to the sales office in Chicago about having sore feet. He persuaded the company to create a line of shoes designed purely for basketball. Converse has always pushed the boundaries of what a sneaker can do. Whether you’re sinking three-pointers on the court, hitting the half-pipe or need a pair of sneakers to survive your next rock concert, Converse has been there with you.

I've been buying the classic Converse chuck taylor all stars for most of my life (closing in on 50 years old). I love them and consider them to be a perfect sneaker for summertime. I decided to try the Chuck 70's, and I like the better insole as its pretty comfortable. However, there is one thing missing from the classics that I wish the 70's had. The lace loop on the tongue is missing here, and it lets the tongue slide down rather than keeping it in place via the laces. If it had that one addition, they'd be the perfect upgrade from the classics. Still, the more comfortable insole is quite nice!

I like the design, of course its the classic template for chucks. I like the pure white on the sole and toe, I think it makes a nice contrast to the blue stipes and tongue. Overall the design feels "nautical" to me, which I'm guessing was the idea. These definitely run a bit big. I usually wear and 8.5 or even 9, but I got these in an 8 and theyre still a tiny bit loose. I haven't noticed any difficult areas with wear-in and theyre overall pretty comfortable. Definitely comfortable enough for daily wear.Overall I really like the look of these, the pure white and blue is simple but interesting.

My husband loves Converse, but his wider feet always look a bit cramped in standard width, but he was reluctant to get wide. I was super excited to find these were carried in wide, and he is obsessed with this pair! Out of the box they looked huge (he’s a 12 wide), but he thought they felt true to size for Converse (which he feels typically run a bit long) and of course even more comfortable than normal for him in the wide width. The white is so classic cool and looks great with so much. Perfect summer shoe. He’s also excited to twin with our preschooler who also has white Converse. In our experience they clean up relatively well, even for white shoes. Highly recommend.

These shoes filled a nostalgia need I didn't know I had. They felt both familiar and very stylish and different. I loved the blend of pinstripe design and classic Converse lines. They were extremely comfortable for kicking around town and running errands. I think they would also be perfect for a day at the beach or even all day at a concert or festival. The one thing I noticed is that the laces were only just long enough to tie. On one hand I appreciate not having to worry about dragging laces or flopping bows when tied, but I would also appreciate a bit more slack to try a different lacing pattern. I am glad that they came pre-laced so that I could throw them on right away. I do also appreciate that the laces can be swapped out, as I have purchased other shoes ... These shoes fit great. They feel great on my feet. Unfortunately, the tongue slides off the top of your foot towards the outside of your foot on both feet. I have another pair of Chuck that are not the 70s they are cheaper shoe, but the tongue doesn’t move on those. that’s my only complaint. and understand I’m almost 60 years old. I wore these shoes in the 70s I miss the old kind. I probably won’t buy another pair of 70s. But I will buy the cheaper ones
I love everything about my Classic Chuck's except the insole, which is why the Ortholite insole cushioning was one feature that made me finally decide to buy the Chuck 70 version of my fave black shoe. Unfortunately, the toe box is too narrow, especially for those of us with wide feet. The Classic Chuck provides a more uniform appearance overall and comfort across the foot. The Chuck 70 does the opposite. I'm a little disappointed and am contemplating returning the shoe. There are other major differences, but I can live with those.
First and foremost, the comfort of these sneakers is outstanding. Such a change from the classic Converse All Stars I'm used to. Whether I was walking around the office or running errands on the weekend, my feet felt pleasantly cozy. They're becoming an everyday shoe for me. After a couple weeks of daily wear, they still look new.In terms of style, this retro look pairs well with just about anything. I've received a bunch of compliments on them in the few weeks I've had them. I love the Converse Clubhouse tennis graphic on the tongue.I'd recommend sizing down a half size. I normally wear a 10.5 (some shoes I'm a 10, some are 11) and this shoe would feel a little better as a 10. a 9.5 would be too small.I highly recommend these shoes to anyone who wants a ... These Chuck 70s are great. The include extra cushioning and support that are exactly what I need if I'm going to be wearing them all day. They're slightly heavier than the classic chucks but the sturdiness and support add that. These are now my favorite chucks!
The Chuck 70 wide comes with a vintage look to it but has the same classic feel the original Chuck converse has. The shuttle cream shade of the insole makes the converse chuck look broken in but the white upper makes it look new and stand out even further. The subtle shade of cream also allows you to wear them with a wider range of colors than a regular all white pair. Overall the vintage look on the Chuck Wide 70 looks incredible and will get you a ton of compliments.
Usually I never have sizing issues with my Cons. When it says, "runs a little large" that usually just means my wide feet are comfy. These are my first "Vintage Chucks" and hoodaddy, they are NARROW. Length is standard, but you better have very thin feet... The eyelets dig into my toe bend and the side rubber squishes my foot over the sides to look like a muffintop...Unfortunately, my confidence that my Cons always fit means I missed my return window, so I'm stuck trying to figure out how to make them look good and be comfortable enough to wear in hopes the fabric softens up to be wearable. The color is perfect for fall (tawny owl/egret) so I was very excited to start breaking in a new pair-- especially since my last pair bit the dust last weekend...Alas, I ...
