I recommend on get the 70s for casual use. While a bit heavier than the All Stars, the comfort of the insole is well worth it. DO NOT DOWN SIZE. Don't at all recommend a down size. Wear a sz 10, ordered a 10 and they fit as they should. Athletic shoes and should have ample space in the toe for sudden stops and running. The "rule of thumb" is a thumbs width from the end of your largest toe. Plus, perhaps more important, is where the shoe breaks in the forefoot. It should break at the ball of the foot.

I was very excited when my chucks arrived - they had that beautiful classic white look that we have all come to know and recognize. I am so happy that these are coming back into style after wearing them as a teen! I am usually a size 9.5 but sized down to a 9 because I heard that these run big. I probably should have sized down even farther as even a 9 was a bit big! I am going to keep them because I think it will still work as long as I wear thicker socks, but just something to keep in mind. I will probably purchase these in-store next time so that I can ensure I get the proper fit. I opted for the wide shoe because I usually need wides, but with this brand I might be able to get away with a regular since they are so roomy. I have to be careful with the white, but so far I have been able to wipe off marks easily.

I have purchased and worn many pairs of Converse. The biggest issue that I've always had with them is that they're tight on my feet. I have wide feet and would often need to keep the laces loose, or do an open lacing on the bottom to keep them comfortable. These pair, however, are wide enough that they didn't need any sort of modification to be comfortable. The design and fabric remain true to the original. The canvas is flexible, comfortable, and doesn't need to be broken in. The insole is a little cushy, but not so much that I can't to squats or deadlifts in them if I needed. The tongue often falls to the side throughout the day and needs to be readjusted. That may be more of a personal issue of not knowing how to lace them to keep the tongue up.I love the white ... MoreI have purchased and worn many pairs of Converse. I absolutely love these sneakers! The classic look of white - is something you can't go wrong with. The fit runs large. When looking to see what size, I went a full size down and they fit comfortably. They are VERY comfortable! I do have high arches so I did add in an insert, but they are great! The fabric and design is high quality! What i love most about these sneakers is that they go with pretty much every outfit. One thing I would change is to get sizing back to normal... I was very unsure on what size to get, but reviewed a bunch of different reviewed that told me that they run large.
The chuck wide shoe is a classic shoe that can worn with any outfit. The shoes very comfortably and has plenty of room in the wide fit. It takes a little bit to break the shoes in but I always enjoy the way they look. The black shoe with white laces makes every outfit a little more fun to wear. The design of the shoe is excellent. The black shoe with white laces and white stitching is a staple in every closet. The fabric is the traditional thin converse design. The shoe overall is more of a classic feel than a supportive athletic shoe. The bottom of the shoe is dark brown with a fun print design. There is a small label on the back of the heel with the converse brand name. I typically do not go with a wider width shoe as my feet tend to slip around too much in them, however, I have never felt comfortable in a regular width Chuck style because of the more pointed toe. I had a bit of wiggle room in the Chuck 70 wide, but it was extra space that felt good! I typically find shoes with a rounder toe box most comfortable. These were far, far better than the regular width for me, but did bother the joints in my big toes at the end of the day. I am going to keep wearing them for shorter periods in hopes they just need more wear to stretch out a little. The sole of the shoe and the canvas fabric was flexible right away and not stiff at all. I liked that the soles could bend with my foot. I am loving the converse 70 sneakers. I have always love the classics and these are an awesome modern update! The fabric is thick and durable, and I love that the sole is in between the lower classic one and an actual “platform” sneaker. I had no idea there was a wide option available from converse and it’s so great! These fit much more comfortable that my classics I’ve had in the past. I would say the sizing still runs about a half size larger than most sneakers, but I stuck with my normal size so they’d be comfortable with thick socks as well. Love these!
I have been waiting for Converse to release a new red colorway in Chuck 70 style. I thought the wait was over when the "Fever Dream" colorway was released. However those turned out to be more of a red-orange. The "Enamel Red" colorway was exactly what I was waiting for. If "Nice Blue" is the perfect blue colorway, the "Enamel Red" is the perfect red.The quality of the canvas and rubber is top notch and I love these so much. I have (at least) 40 pairs of converse, and this pair is one of my absolute favorites and I must commend Converse for them.
Idk why I never knew that Converse offered wide width shoes. These shoes are so comfy and true to size! The design of the shoe is so versatile! My son can literally wear it with ANYTHING! Shorts, jeans, joggers, anything! I was honestly worried that the shoe would be hard to clean if it got dirty because of the color and fabric. But I found that the cloth fabric of this shoe seems more sturdy/tough so I don't have to worry about causing any damage if I have to scrub it. What I like most is how lightweight the shoe is. My son wore it for 6 hours when we went to Busch Gardens and I thought we would've gotten tired of walking in the Converse. Surprisingly, he was quite comfortable and when we got home, he did not have any pain or aches in his feet! These are definitely ... MoreIdk why I never knew that Converse offered wide width shoes. I was really excited about the idea of a wide Converse high top. Nothing beats the classic look of a pair of black high top Converse! Pinched toes turned me off years ago, so a wide footbed was exciting. In reality, these are definitly wider, but not quite as wide as they could be to be perfect. (I've included a picture of the wide size 8.5 next to a regular size 8 for reference.)First, the pros: high quality canvas uppers, soft and more supportive footbed than the ones I wore in the 90s, long laces, quality stitching.Second, the cons: wide in the wrong places, my toes are still pinched, and runs really big. The sole feels wide through the mid foot, but not the toe box, where I've always felt pinched. I wear a men's 9 and the 8.5 feels big.
