Converse Chuck 70 Vintage Sneakers Women Purple

The Converse All Star Chuck '70 is the re-crafted sneaker that uses modern details to celebrate the original Chuck Taylor All Star from the 1970s. It features a slightly higher rubber foxing, a cushioned footbed that provides long-lasting comfort and a more substantial rubber toe cap. Additional vintage details include stitching on the sidewall and a heavier-grade canvas upper for comfort and durability. They join iconic Chuck Taylor attributes such as the star-centred ankle patch and vulcanised rubber outsole. Oversized product, recommended to go down 1 size.

Comfy!!!

As far as converse go, I've had many other pairs before and I know I wear a Women's 8 (I'm usually an 8.5 or 9 in most other shoes), and this shoe fits how I had anticipated. I love the comfy sole of this shoe! One thing about this style is that it doesn't have the loop on the tongue of the shoe to keep the shoelaces in place, but I haven't decided if that's a big deal because the loop isn't always helpful anyways. Love the color I got. It looks different in different lightings, but I think that makes it versatile. I was a bit hesitant about trying the Chuck 70 model, but I would recommend it over the classic Chuck Taylor's if not for the cushioned sole alone.

Compliment magnets!

These are very comfortable and easy to walk in - not at all heavy or clunky-feeling. For hightops they are quite easy to lace up and then unlace/take off. No lie - the first time I wore them in public, the office manager at the vet's office complimented them when she greeted me, then mentioned them again when she said goodbye. I felt like a kid on the first day of school!

I'm enjoying my Converse but they're a little challenging to put on since there's no support at the back above the heel. I have a size 6 foot and these still make my feet look big. Even so I like the show and I like the color because it goes with everything. Also they're more comfortable than I thought they'd be. I can wear them for long walks.

Look Great, frustrating fit
22 January 2024

The color is awesome. That said, they’re the most frustrating fit… narrow and don’t come in wide options, but kind of long. I ordered 1/2 size down as recommended, painfully narrow across the top, too snug. Exchanged for a 1/2 size bigger, my usual 9, and they're still a bit narrow, but a smidge long. The toe box is also VERY shiny, like it’s sealed in a gloss. I want to love them, but 3/5 stars at best.

My New Favorite Chucks
3 January 2024

I’ve been wearing Size 7 All Stars for decades and these Chuck 70’s fit me perfectly in a size 7 for anyone wondering if there is a fit difference between them. I have wide feet, double E (EE) in boots and these fit me well like the All stars did, not too narrow. The Chuck 70’s are much better comfort wise than the Allstars in my opinion with the comfort soles (Which Are Replaceable!) and the overall sturdier build of the shoe, you can actually feel the difference in the thicker canvas and the rubber soles. I really like the narrower look that the high sidewall and the set back toe cap outline give the shoe. The rubber has a very glossy finish that’s not as distracting as I thought it might be. I purchased the Universe Teal and Tawny Owl versions and both are nice ... MoreI’ve been wearing Size 7 All Stars for decades and these Chuck 70’s fit me perfectly in a size 7 for anyone wondering if there is a fit difference between them. If these Chuck 70’s hold up at least as well as regular Allstars I’ll probably never buy another pair of regular Allstars again.

No sizing description
26 May 2023

Beautiful shoes and arrived in great condition, I just can't wear them because I mistakenly ordered the wrong size. This is because the website makes this very confusing! There is no specification that the sizes listed are for MEN so I ordered a size 7 thinking these were unisex sizes and when they arrived, they were a men's size 7/women's size 9! To make it worse, when I ordered there was no explanation that these were final sale so I can't even return them. So if you shop for women's sizes make sure you check the sizing on the CONVERSE website and size down! JD Sports, I recommend providing more info for your online customers.

Rund very small in size
28 August 2024

Very wrong size and label , my daughter outgrew big kids size 4 converse and wearing 5.5 now in most of her shoes. Ordered these converse in 5.5 women size and received 5.5 shoe that is smaller than her old kids size 4 shoes . Markings on the shoes are wrong, New one show US 5.5 W, UK 3.5 . old one shows US 4 UK is still UK3.5 , so US sizes are way off.

Sizing off, uncomfortable,
5 August 2023

Honestly, I don't like the Chuck 70's. They're somehow both too big, with lots of heel slippage & your feet aren't secure, and too small - the toe box is very squashed and short. I've tried everything from extra soles to heel grips to gel heel socks but they just gave me blisters and squashed toes. The bottom is flat and hard and that also causes pain. As someone who finds the All Stars very comfortable and true to size straight out of the box, these are incredibly disappointing. I kept them because I love the colour but I'm beginning to regret it.

Timeless style
3 December 2023

I have the black 70’s from Pat Menzies and decided to purchase the blue (enchanted waters) also. Timeless style, so does not date like the now and then styles of other brands. I always seem to have a problem with my big toe breaking through other branded sneakers and running shoes, ruining the shoes that have seen limited use. With the Chuck’s, this is not an issue with their toe caps. They look good with jeans and shorts and colours to choose from to suit your mood and changing seasons. Although they look cool, they are a bit uncomfortable for extended walking, for me anyway. When new the white stitching pops and they look clean and fresh with the glossy off white varnished finish. Enjoy, d.

quality isn't as great
12 February 2024

I've been wearing Chucks since the 90s and these are just not the same quality I'm used to. The plastic is very shiny, the shoes seem to be more narrow than before, and the tongue is missing the tab to keep it in place with the shoe laces. They are listed as running large but in my opinion, they definitely do not. I bought my regular size (7 in women) and they actually fit very snuggly...enough so where I should have actually bought a half-size up for better comfort. Love the color but overall pretty disappointed.
