I was looking for a new pair of flat pedal kicks after breaking my toe, happened to be wearing freeriders that offered no toe protection and being unsatisfied with the quality of the new version I opted for the Crankbros. I was concerned by reviews saying that the grip was lacking- I don’t know what pedals they were using but with my Hope F22’s they offer exactly the same grip as the freeriders, the soles may not be as durable though as I’m noticing some marking and indents from them straight away. Comfort- A1 once broken in- they feel a lot more snug to the point I wanted to size up but glad I stuck my my standard 0.5 above measured foot size. They feel more padded and secure on the foot than the 5.10’s they look cooler too, see fewer ppl wearing these which is nice.

These have the most comfortable, best fitting upper I have ever tried in an MTB shoe! Materials used are good, and mine appear to be quite durable. Ventilation is average but upper does dry quickly. Grip is poor on pedals. I have used the shoes with Kona Wah Wah 2, Deity Deftrap, and Crank Brothers Stamp 1 pedals, and my feet literally get bounced off the pedals in rough terrain. This has not happened in the last 4 MTB shoes I have had (5.10 Trailcross XT and Freerider Pro, Ride Concepts Hellion and Powerline). If these could stick to the pedals just a LITTLE bit they would easily be favorite shoe. Unfortunately all the good stuff can't make up for the lack of grip for me. I will be returning to Ride Concepts for my next pair.

Just changed to using flat pedals after 19 years of riding on SPD style clipped in pedals. To me the Stamp shoes in combination with the Stamp pedals feels the same. The shoe grips the pedal securely and yet you can just step off. Matched the shoe size to my sneaker size and it was perfect. Comfortable shoe and it works as intended. Ordering and delivery was easy and spot on. Thanks Crankbrothers.

I love the look, style and grip of these shoes especially when matched with the pedals.I have bought the white/gum shoes 3 times. Each time they lasted about a month before the leather on top of the toes breaks and comes away.CRANK BROTHERS you need to use better leather/glue with the white/gum trainers they seriously only last about a month before the leather rips on top of the shoe around the toes area.I liked these shoes so much that the last time I bought them I thought I would only use them for 'best' and not use them for cycling as the leather is too fragile but sadly within about 2 months the leather had ripped & they looked terrible & un-saveable.I'd love to buy these shoes again but they only last a month before the leather rips up & they look ... MoreI love the look, style and grip of these shoes especially when matched with the pedals.I have bought the white/gum shoes 3 times. Each time they lasted about a month before the leather on top of the toes breaks and comes away.CRANK BROTHERS you need to use better leather/glue with the white/gum trainers they seriously only last about a month before the leather rips on top of the shoe around the toes area.I liked these shoes so much that the last time I bought them I thought I would only use them for 'best' and not use them for cycling as the leather is too fragile but sadly within about 2 months the leather had ripped & they looked terrible & un-saveable.I'd love to buy these shoes again but they only last a month before the leather rips up & they look awful. This product (the white/gum version) is faulty!
Look no further, these kicks are top-of-the-line!I upgraded my shoes from another big competitor of Crankbrothers and I must say that I am SO happy I went with the Mallet Laces! The other clipless shoes I had provided a toe box too small for my foot, so I found I would lose feeling in my feet on a ride greater than 10 miles, not ideal! I've taken my CrankBros out for multiple rides since receiving them and can say, that numb feet are behind me!Also, they are way more stylish than my previous shoes. All around I am beyond excited with this purchase and highly recommend CrankBros. Customer Service was top tier and shipping was pleasantly quick! Thank you all!
I have Crankbrothers pedals on my bike - Stamp 1 sz small. have worn these shoes about 3 times biking. I am on the fence. I am female and I usually a women's size 8, which would be a 6.5 for these shoes. Based on comments I sized up and got a 7. They seemed okay just trying them on. Some comments had mentioned they may need breaking in (and they are pretty stiff right now). But my right foot isn't that happy so far in the shoes, after an hour it almost feels like it is falling asleep. I am new to biking shoes. I have just been biking in my Altra running shoes. Do these shoes just need breaking in? Should I have gotten a bigger size. I really like the style of these. Feeling bummed that I have spent >$100 on what I thought would be great, but now I am wondering.
For me when it comes to shoes, I’m pretty particular, my gravel/cross country shoes have to have carbon soles, I tasted the carbon years back and there is no replacement for the platform when comes to straight power transfer. My road shoes I look for the same, but a whole lot lighter for the miles and well grams…ha, might be a bit of weight weenie. When it comes time for new trail shoes, I’m looking for solid, well build cleat shanks having broken a few in the past and decent ankle protection as I ride a little heel in. This time around I was looking for shoes for a whole different purpose, an everyday shoe that could replace my Vans in comfort and offer some bike specific features fore when I’m pedaling around town, the Crank Brothers Stamp fit the bill.First off ... MoreFor me when it comes to shoes, I’m pretty particular, my gravel/cross country shoes have to have carbon soles, I tasted the carbon years back and there is no replacement for the platform when comes to straight power transfer. When it comes time for new trail shoes, I’m looking for solid, well build cleat shanks having broken a few in the past and decent ankle protection as I ride a little heel in. This time around I was looking for shoes for a whole different purpose, an everyday shoe that could replace my Vans in comfort and offer some bike specific features fore when I’m pedaling around town, the Crank Brothers Stamp fit the bill.First off let’s talk nice features, there is no doubt the Stamps are designed to be a flat pedal trail shoe, Crank Brothers did their homework, and these are chalked full of smart design decisions. The first and most obvious is the shoe upper Material, I don’t know it’s technical fabric name, but having had these shoes out in the rain, they are pretty water resistant in a solid down pour, I do have to say I generally am not a huge fan of the look of technical fabrics, but Crank Brothers kept these looking good, with the skate style vibe I Like. Second feature you’ll notice and one of the main reasons I was look for cycling shoes is the laces. The laces on the Stamps on hidden on the top of the show with loops for lacing vs Eyelets, this all but eliminates hot spots on the top of the foot, Crank brothers didn’t stop there, they included a pocket in the top of the tongue to tuck the lace loops in and away from the cranks, nice! And finally, the Sole, It’s grippy and just the right mix of platform for pedaling to flexible for walking around, which I’ve done quite a bit.Now let’s talk some cons to the Stamps, for me at least so far there has only been one little, ah for lack of better term, grip, it’s the heel cup. The Stamps heel cup is soft, sculpted and padded just as you’d expect from a bike shoe to hold your ankle in, and what at first thought seems like a good feature is small silicon grippers to really lock your ankle in. What I’ve noticed is at first you don’t even notice these grippers, but after walking and pedaling around for more than an hour or two these have started to create a hot spot on my ankle. It could be just my skinny ankles but something to note.Overall, The Stamps, just like all Crank Brother products are well thought out, stylish and high on my list of products I dig. They fit just as I expected, I wear a 10.5 in Vans, Shimano, Ride Concepts, Giro, specialized and now Cranks Brothers. At the end of the day would I buy them again, I would and will probably pick up a pair with cleats when it comes time for new trail shoes.PROSThe Styling, you can wear them every day and not look like a kook. The Laces – Hidden loops and Lace Pocket, Smart DesignTechnical Fabric that doesn’t look too TechyThe Sole – The right amount of flex for everyday use, and enough platform to pedal.CONSThe Heel Gripper – There’s enough padding to not need the silicon extras
The shoe appeared to be constructed well and I wanted to like it. Unfortunately the shoe was too narrow for my foot. I've never had this issue with any other shoes. I contacted customer service, they stated that the shoes would not work for me. Crankbrothers quickly issued a return when contacted. I was happy with them, I wish the shoe would've been comfortable.
These shoes are amazing! Really stick to the pedals, never slipping, super lightweight too. Padded interior helps for a snug but comfortable fit. The laces tucking into the tongue pocket are a bonus in looks and functionality. I can’t wait to get more colors!
I bought these two months ago. Based on other reviews I sized up (I usually wear a size Womens 8 shoe and ordered a size 7 in the Stamp). I wondered at first if I should have gotten even a size larger as the toes in my right foot seemed a little squeezed. I have been wearing them now for two months - biking an hour 4 times a week. I did look at a video a month ago about how best to position the shoes on the Stamp Flat pedals (which I also have), and I have to say, that helped a lot - as did the suggestion to put my heel down more as I was pedaling uphill. Others talk about the grip - I have not found them that grippy, but they are fairly secure. All in all I am pretty satisfied.
