Effervescent opening, with an underlying woodsy and slighlyt earthy mustiness. Leans mature. To me it smells like a combination of cleaning spray and an old cedar chest (though not as bad as that sounds). I don't hate it, but I don't love it, and it doesn't smell like it should cost anywhere near the price it does. Of course, many people feel that way about any Creed fragrance, but this is probably the most jarring example of it for me. The right person could pull it off - if worn by someone suave and classy, it might feel like an entirely different scent. But on it's own, it feels mediocre to me.

I can't say enough good things about Beauty Affairs. I've been a loyal customer now for about three years and can't fault their delivery - it feels like I get VIP Express Post when I just make a regular order. I (now) do a lot of online shopping across the board (clothes, shoes, beauty, etc.) and Beauty Affairs stand out from every other vendor I have shopped with throughout COVID as fast, reliable, and essentially flawless in their supply chain when even the previously-good-ones have slowly fallen victim throughout 2021 to COVID disruptions and delays. Whatever they're doing, it works! I will only shop elsewhere for beauty, cosmetics, and perfume on the odd occasion they don't stock a brand I want, but apart from that, I say: MECCA, who? Sephora, what? ^.^

I have always loved the fast service of Beauty Affairs with free samples with my orders. Last month my shampoo bottle broke in the post and leaked everywhere. When I advised Beauty Affairs they sent a new bottle straight away free of charge. Unfortunately this order did not arrive so when I advised them of this Anna at Client Care sent me a new bottle straight away but along with this she also sent me the matching conditioner, and my favourite full cleanser to say sorry. I have not experienced such amazing customer service in a long time. I’ve always had amazing service from Beauty Affairs and will not buy my beauty products anywhere else

I just have to take a moment to give a shout-out to the team over Beauty Affairs and this awesome little (perhaps not so little :)) company. EVERY time I place an order, it's always perfect. Please ignore all of the reviews mentioning ‘Viking Cologne’ or any other mentions of a cologne. That is an entirely separate fragrance to Viking and is, in my estimation, a far worse one. Viking was hated upon its release because unlike Aventus in 2010, it didn’t revolutionise anything. It was safe, pleasant and entirely non offensive. Viking is my signature scent in the colder months, and is a go to fragrance when I need to project confidence and power. Monstrous projection, respectable performance and smells quite good. Not worth the price Creed is asking, but if you can find it on discount, it’s a great, spicy, barbershop scent. The old fashioned among you will immediately recognise a similarity to Old Spice, which is something I personally find very charming.

This is what some consider "dated" or "too mature" smelling. To me, it smells great. It's fresh, spicy, floral and clean. The lavender and mint play a huge roll, with the spicy pink pepper adding intrigue to the profile. It's like a much more high quality, better smelling Old Spice aftershave scent. Yes, it's utilizing a type of perfumery that we haven't seen a lot of lately, but that's what makes it special. It's not your average, boring.m. blue "freshie". It's signature scent worthy and unique.

Creed review

I have several Creed scents: Aventus Millesime Imperial Green Irish Tweed Royal Oud Himalaya Viking Original Santal My favorites are Aventus and Viking. Royal Oud is good, but the scent doesn't last. I've gotten the most compliments on Aventus, this is male and female. Women seem to like Aventus and Himalaya the best. Creed makes excellent scents. You won't go wrong with any of them.

Fantastic fragrance

Viking is a wonderful fragrance and very masculine. It has a very spicy peppery note to it that I like a lot. I own a 250ml Flacon of lot #17Y01. I am a fan of Diors Sauvage EDT and Viking layers wonderfully with it as well as many other fragrances I own. Viking has a strong pepper note and spices backed with citrus in the opening. The top notes are Pink Pepper, Sicilian Lemon and Calabrian Bergamot all blend excellently with the heart notes where the Pink Pepper is reinforced again and joined by Bulgarian Rose and a Spicy Mint that creates a mix of warm and cool effects with a Spicy And Sweet balance that has a lovely depth provided by the Sandalwood and Patchouli in the base. The mix of the Pepper with Rose and Sandalwood seems to trick my nose into smelling something warm like a mix of Cloves with a touch of Cinnamon. This scent lasts a very very long time on my skin. I get 2-4 hours of 4-6ft of projection and then that begins to draw closer to me gradually over the next 4 hours until it becomes a wonderful skin scent that I can smell without any effort. I dont get anosmia with Viking as I do with Creeds Aventus, of which I am a big fan as well. With 2-3 sprays I can stillsmell this fragrance over 12 hours later sometimes nearing 18 hours. This type of performance for me is what makes Viking a good value. I paid around $400 USD for my 8.4oz bottle and it will last me a very long time. This fragrance wasnt love at first smell but over time I have grown to enjoy it very much. It gives me a calm and confident feeling and as stated before I enjoy layering this with one spray to each forearm and then a spray of Diors Sauvage EDT over it to create my own fragrance. Viking is a wonderful fragrance but i recommend to sample it before you purchase. Try picking up a sample card or two of 2.5ml atomizers from Creed. I am very happy with Creeds Viking and I feel many more people will be as well once they wear it a few times.

Product came on time, and in great condition. Cap fits well. No issues with the shipping. Viking from Fragrancex.Com is 100% real and authentic. I am a huge fan of Aventus and Green Irish Tweed. Viking is very different from these two because it is way more spicy rather than a clean fresh citrus at the very onset. Viking starts out with an aromatic, fiery, spicy top layer that lasts about 30 mins to an hour. The scent blends and dries beautifully into a heavier leathery musk scent that lingers all day. For a younger, bold gentleman. Scent stays close to the skin, Occasional whiffs throughout the day. My only issue with Viking is it's sillage. Not an attention grabbing scent. Great for everyday, dates, special occasions.
