I've been snowboarding for thirty years and I've never encountered something like the Burton Step On binding. Coupled with this boot I feel like I've got the best control of any binding I've ever used. The interface and simplicity of stepping on with these boots is so intuitive and user friendly. If I had to make a criticism it was that the first day I used them my feet were a little sore and I did develop a small hot spot on my front foot heel however within a solid day of riding they had broken in and the hot spot has not returned since then. They are very comfortable now and the irritation was not severe that first day. They fit true to size. It's hard to find boots due to my need for a large size. However I went with the size 12 and was not disappointed.

Bad BOA, bad customer service

My DC step on boots broke their first season due to the cable anchor dislodging. DC sent me a gift card after I explained it should be covered by manufacturer warranty. An employee stole and used the gift card before I had the chance to use it. Then DC ghosted me and refused to speak to me about a replacement gift card. The customer service for their snowboard stuff is not the same as DC, it is a 3rd party. Spend the extra $100 and get Burton or Nitro or something that will last longer than half a season and if it doesn't they might not steal from you.

I like it

Fits perfectly to my Burton Step on Binding. Very comfortable! The only downside is that the toe side doesn't seem to provide much insulation. My toes were FROZEN after riding for 4 hours straight. However taking breaks every 1.5-2 hrs helped.

SOOO Comfy
12 April 2022

I was very impressed with these boots. I read reviews and watched videos that said they are super comfy...and I can confirm that they are! I love the dual Boa system. It allows for the perfect combination of tightness and comfort without sacrificing performance. Snapping in and stepping out is so easy. They say they are a medium stiffness but I think they are more on the stiffer side of medium. That may change after they are broken in. The material seems very durable and high quality. Overall, I would totally recommend these boots!

The best boots I have ever owned
27 March 2021

I had the Burton Step In bindings from 20yrs ago....upgraded to Step On bindings. I love them but the Burton Photon boots created so many hot spots. I just couldnt get the adjustment right - either too tight or too loose. I even put Super Feet inserts...help some but not enough. I got the DC boots and they were so comfortable...used for 3 days straight and not one hot spot.

The boots break in relatively quick
10 December 2022

Very comfortable, even wide enough for the wide footed people out there. Easy to walk in. Double Boa. Velcro strap across the top of the boot liner adds more adjustability on how tight you want the liner to fit. Which in return helps tighten the front boa a couple more cranks.

These Boots saved StepOns
22 January 2021

Got fitted for the Burton Photons at the Burton Store in Telluride and tried for 3 years to break them in. It didn't matter what I did, they just killed my foot and I would always have to switch boards by end of day.I've never had DC boots but when they came out with StepOns I figured I'd give them a try. Sure glad I did. The moment I tried them out at home, I knew they were going to be more comfortable on mountain. Just got done with my 2nd day on the mountain and couldn't be happier, and can't recommend them enough. If you want to ride StepOns but hate the Burton Boots, these are the way to go. Better looking too!

Top quality staff.

Great fit, the staff were incredible in ensuring that the boots would fit perfectly and had fantastic recommendations when it came to the particular brand they'd recommend RE my foot type. would 100% recommend anyone, beginner to advanced riders, head to MSC for their gear.

Way more comfortable than the Burton Photons! Worth every $
11 December 2020

I have had 2 different sets of Burton Step-on boots - the Photons and Raiders. Both produced hot spots (pain points) on outside of foot within about 2 hours of straight riding. These DCs do not produce hot spots!!!Make sure to order these 1/2 to 1 whole size bigger. Burtons runs small and so do these - I am a 9.5 to 10 in most shoes - I ordered 10.5 to be safe and they fit perfect! These boots are a bit wider than the Burtons especially in the front of boot where is counts with step-ons.They do take about 4-6 hours to beak in and start feeling real Koosh!Rode them for 4 hours straight (no break/rest) and did NOT get hot sports on outside of foot!!!Thanks DC for doing what burton could not, make a boot for step-ons bindings that does not produce hot sports ... MoreI have had 2 different sets of Burton Step-on boots - the Photons and Raiders.
