This DeWalt Mechanics Tool Set is perfect. It has 172 pieces of quality items in a nice hard case to keep them organized. Ratchet, sockets and more sockets, wrenches, hex keys, bits, nut driver bits, specialty tools. Too many to list. They have a full lifetime warranty, guaranteed tough! I already have a lot of DeWalts tools, I think these will compliment them.

One of the better sets for the money. Doesnt have a bunch of unnecessary pieces. Plenty of extensions,sockets,and 3 ratchets. Great set

This was especially useful on a spark plug I was replacing on an older lawn mower. The handles are comfortable and easy to grip. The quality and finish are exceptional. With a lifetime guarantee, you can’t go wrong. In fact, the only negative comment I have comes not from me but from my 83 year old father who wanted to try them out. His complaint comes from the size of the lever to switch the ratchet from tighten to loosen. So those with limited dexterity may have issues but the vast majority of users will not.
I received this 172pc socket/wrench set a few weeks ago and I’ve been really impressed so far. The sockets and wrenches are solid. The ratchet actions are pretty good but they’re a little heavy and poorly balanced. For all that, they work great. Very little take up before grabbing the next tooth. Even if you are a ratchet snob you should get this set for the sockets and end wrenches. A couple buddies were helping me with a project last week and liked the set enough to order their own sets.
The ratchets are very nice. I like them alot. The sockets work well but the deep 3/8 sockets could be alittle deeper. There too short. The screwdriver handle is rough and uncomfortable in the hand but the driver bits seem good. Socket retention in the case leaves alot to be desired, I found a couple of sockets fall out occasionally, yet there difficult to remove when I need them.
I thought this was a great set when I bought it, but on trying to use it I found that Dewalt cheeped out and didn't include the most common metric bolt size wrench, the 12mm, someone at Dewalt decided to save a couple bucks and NOT INCLUDE a 12mm wrench. That someone needs to do the math that 12mm is 0.472 inches,NOT 1/2 inch, so the 1/2 inch wrench IS NOT a substitute unless you like rounding off nuts. You can use one in a pinch if the nut is not tight, but IT'S NOT SUITABLE FOR A COMPLETE WRENCH SET!!!
It’s a very complete set. But the blow mold case is terrible. You can’t pick it up and take it with you without having sockets fal out and need to be put away. And then there are the ones you can’t get out of the case without a good set of pliers. I will be moving all the parts to an after market case for better convenience.

I had enough with the knuckle busters of the old set. I take this set to job sites, and will be taking it to the wrecking yard as I need parts. Today I am doing a heater core on a old IROCZ28 Convertible. I love these new ratchets. Metal gears! With a lifetime replacement. Fine teeth, so ratchet swing is not a problem. Wish that some ½" drive sockets and a ratchet were in this set though. No more tools falling all over the place either. The tools all stay put, as they snap into their designated, marked spots. ⅜" drive, and ¼" drive will have to do. The other side of the case has actual hinges and not a folded seam like my old set had which this is replacing. The sockets all appear to be of high quality with clearly visible size markings and part numbers. All sockets are knurled for better handling.
