This is the best ever quilt I have owned. Keeps us nice and toasty during the recent cold winter months in Melbourne! We used to have to put extra blankets on the top of our wool quilt to keep us warm. No regrets buying this even though it was expensive. Lucky it was on sale when I bought it. I regret not buying this quilt earlier on! It is so soft and fluffy. So hard to get out of bed now!

I waited a few weeks before reviewing as I wanted to be sure I remained impressed! This is a high quality quilt. The loft/fill has remained as plump and even as day 1 - there are no uneven or patchy spots to interfere with the warmth. It is lighter weight than my old wool quilt which suits me and feels like a 'hug'. The warmth rating is perfect for me (and my husband) on these cold Melbourne nights. I did a lot of research before buying this quilt and yes, I could have bought a cheaper version or one more expensive, but this has proved to be a brilliant investment. Very happy.

I have purchased a Downia Feather Quilt before and itās honestly the best investment Iāve made. So I purchased 2 more for my elderly parents. What I love is the loft ability with these quilts, thatās what keeps you so toasty warm. I did my research and Downia is still my No1 choice - (and I work in bedding) Previously I purchased goose feathers but this Duck 80/15 is equally lovely. The down doesnāt fall down the the bottom of the quilt ever but a good shake every few days gives you that super loft.

I have always purchased high end duck down/feather quilts until last year when I was encouraged to change over to a polyester filled quilt which I was not very happy with, I was always cold even in summer and had to add additional covers to keep warm, so I went in search for the perfect duck down/feather quilt. It took me a while and finally came across the Downia White Collection 85/15 White Duck Down & Feather Quilt. I cannot express the happiness and satisfaction I have with this quilt. It is so warm, extremely fluffy, just the right weight and looks great on my bed. I highly recommend the Downia White Collection' 85/15 White Duck Down & Feather Quilt !!
Purchased this duvet for my teenage sonās bed. It is very lightweight but still looks lofty on the bed and is lovely and warm, but not with the weight of a heavy duvet which I like. It does make a bit of a weird crumply noise at night when you roll over and move in it, but it doesnāt seem to bother me and is a small detail. Over time as the cotton softens through use, I suspect this wonāt be as noticeable. Very happy with my purchase.
Since buying this quilt, my sleep has improved so much. The heat distribution and quality of the product can really be felt whilst sleeping. We combined it with some new sheets and canāt complain one bit about the purchase. Weight and quality is absolutely perfect !
Considering the price point of this quilt I expected it to arrive in something short of red velvet and rose petals. However it arrived in itās Downia retail box without any internal protective/plastic packaging over the quilt itself. As underwhelming as it was to open a cardboard box with a loose quilt inside, common sense eventually prevailed and I figured this is probably the best way to allow the down to ābreatheā.This aside, the doona itself is absolutely AMAZING!!!Itās my first goose down quilt and I did a lot of research to establish that goose down is the very best filling and youāll need to sell a kidney or your firstborn to acquire it. Of all the brands I considered, Downia seemed to have the best reviews, with many claiming their quilt had a decent lifespan of at least 10 years.According to the care tag, it has 1130g of fill (Downia should really consider advertising this as itās a selling point, but for some reason you canāt find this info anywhere online). The loft is so impressive that my quilt makes a real aesthetic statement on the bed. The quilt has a rating 4 so is well suited to the unstable climate I currently live in (Melbourne and for reference it is currently winter). The baffled cassette construction works really well so gravity wonāt cause the down clusters to migrate to the sides or ends of the bed. I also havenāt found that it leaks feathers or fibres which according to other reviews is a problem to varying degrees with other brands of down quilts.Overall Iām thrilled with this purchase. Itās so fluffy and light that I can barely feel it and the warmth it generates is like nothing Iāve ever experienced before. Iāve gone from having to use 2 blankets over winter to only needing this now. Never did I imagine I would be this excited by a quilt but it really is the most luxurious one Iāve ever owned.Even at 40% off Myer sale it is by far the most money Iāve ever spent on a quilt but well worth it. Iād never go back to anything else. Before use make sure to give the down clusters enough time to bounce back from transit by airing out. I laid it out over the bed for a few hours and periodically fluffed it up before use.
Hands downs the best quilt for Canberra weather. So light and comfy, yet sooo warm and for these cold Canberra winters and yet itās just as comfy for Autumn and Soring.Purchased one years ago and cannot sleep with out it. Of course when upsizing our bed, it was my go too in being šÆ comfortable and completing our sleep domain. Absolutely best decision then and now. One very happy customer and highly recommended š
Very fluffy, cosy, lightweight and airy. My fingers are crossed hoping that it will be sufficiently warm for regional Victoriaās cold winter nights - especially when solo sleeping. Regret now that I didnāt return it for a Super King because itās a reasonably snug fit on my bed with little overhang at the sides. This clearly reduces further when there are two adult bodies sleeping beneath it and throughout winter will likely force both occupants to sleep closer, towards the middle of the bed to stay covered.
Didn't realise this rated 4/5 for warmth until it was delivered, as I purchased it online following positive reviews. Disappointed to find then that I couldn't swap it, as apparently Myer no longer take quilts or pillows back. I explained I hadn't even removed it from its box but that made no difference. Returned home with it and tried it out. It feels lovely and light, but I slept poorly and woke up a number of times sweating! Too hot for Melbourne in late May, probably okay for July/August but I don't want a different quilt for each season.
