✨Tips and Tricks ✨ These are some relatively unknown tips and tricks about this product! I use this product as a makeup remover and it is honestly the best makeup remover I've ever tried. The brand also markets this as an 18-in-one product, and it can be used to wash dishes and clothes as well! Ever since I've become independent and moved into my own place, I have spent some time looking into and researching different types of household products and soaps. This is because I was incentivized to look into buying new products since I couldn't use the ones my parents bought anymore! I started using Dr. Bronner products about 3 years ago and I've never looked back. The great thing is that, even though they are extremely expensive up front, they last a long time! This bottle that I've pictured is actually from when I first moved out three years ago! ✨Improving Value for Money✨ I suggest buying the largest product you can find, because the unit price per milliliter is much less expensive! The largest product that I can find is that 32 oz product, and that's the one that I purchased 3 years ago that is still lasting me to this day in September 2022! I even have about 1/8 of the bottle remaining. A small amount goes a very long way, and this lathers like crazy. I mainly use this soap for hand washing clothes and as my body wash. ✨Skin and Body Care✨ I believe that the surfactants are a bit too harsh for the face, so I avoid using it on my face except for removing makeup when needed. I will only use this product to remove makeup when I'm wearing a lot of makeup and I can't get it off with a normal cleanser because this soap is so dang strong! So basically, this is a great makeup remover but I wouldn't recommend using it as a daily face cleanser because it is stripping. Scents are very personal, but I am biased towards lavender. If you love lavender as well, I'd love if you share your thoughts in the comments in the photo attached! Lavender lovers unite! 🥰 If you stayed to read this far, thank you so much!

This soap is a wonderful cleaner -- that might go without saying, but I must say it. As a castile soap, it can clean many things, and with a little ingenuity you can figure out all kinds of uses for this being a non-toxic, concentrated value-for-your-money cleaner.I personally use this primarily in the shower as a body wash -- to which it works well I will say -- with the only downside being the peppermint oil is *very* present. It lights you up with a semi-tingly, very chilling feeling. I've grown to like it myself, if not love it, but to others wishing to do the same be warned; it doesn't play around. You *will* feel the oils working. The pressure needed on the sharp-edged plastic cap is too much for my thin-skinned thumbs, PAINFUL! especially now that I'm 70. I reuse a broken-in cap on many new bottles until it falls apart. Also if only 1-2 drops are needed, it can't be done. The excess soap quickly builds up around the spout. What would you suggest I do? (Or please redesign the cap.)

I swithced to Dr. Bronner's soaps more than 5 years ago and use them for all my personal cleaning needs. My dermatologist had recommended Cetaphil, because my skin is sensitive. But when I read all the chemical ingredients in their products, I mixed the contents of the bottle with vinegar, salt and citrus juice to make weed killer! Worked well, and I'm glad I was able to find a good use for it. Would never put it on my skin again!Dr. Bronner's peppermint is my go-to, but I switch to the others now and then. Eucalyptus and lavender both provide a pleasant change.I keep a diluted solution for showering and washing hair, squirt it onto a Japanese washcloth where it foams just enough and enables me to reach every part of the body, starting with my head. Eucalyptus and lavender both provide a pleasant change.I keep a diluted solution for showering and washing hair, squirt it onto a Japanese washcloth where it foams just enough and enables me to reach every part of the body, starting with my head. The combination provides excellent exfoliation. I only wash my hair every 3 days, and no longer use conditioner. My rinse is diluted apple cider vinegar, massaged into the scalp and rinsed with lukewarm water. No other hair products needed. Once a week, I'll whip a raw egg or cut a stalk of aloe vera, scoop out the gel, apply to the hair and let it sit for about 20 minutes before washing with Dr. Bronner's. All-natural, no muss, no fuss, nothing I can't pronounce! And almost no hair on the drain screen. When I used body washes and shampoos, the drain needed weekly cleaning walls needed scrubbing t. Now, I treat it once a month with a cup of baking soda followed by a cup of white vinegar to keep it clear.
I love the clean relaxing feeling I get when I use this. A little goes a long way so be warned! Lol. I like that it doesn’t take a lot to soap a standard washcloth. It gets you squeaky clean so lotion is a must after using this. The lavender scent is not too strong and is super relaxing especially with warm shower steam. A great combo to prepare you for bed. The fact that it has clean ingredients and is non toxic is the cherry on top. It’s good for sensitive skin because it didn’t bother me at all and it gets the deodorant residue really good. I don’t use antiperspirants anymore unless it’s a special event outside in heat but when I did it got rid of that lil residue feeling.
I am one of those people who tried Bronner’s for washing my hair and failed the first time. There were the usual adjustment challenges and I gave up. But after reading Lisa’s blog about her eventual hair success with their products I decided to give it another go. Well, let me say, it was so worth it! Softest, curliest hair with just the right volume. I’ll never go back to those old conventional products. I use the citrus liquid to wash (make the suds in my hands first then scrub my scalp in sections), the herbal citrus hair rinse, and my GIY hair serum once out of the shower. The night before I wash, I spray my hair pretty heavily with distilled water then apply the hair crème for an overnight treatment. I was excited to try this because of the rave reviews. I specifically got unscented to be able to use it in my cracks & crevices if you know what I mean lol. As soon as I poured it onto my washcloth and started lathering up, my eyes immediately begin to burn. I could barely keep them open! The lather on this soap was very lackluster. I kept pouring and pouring and pouring looking for the rich lather that I’m used to with my other body washes to no avail. It was a struggle just to get the underwhelming amount of lather I finally got. But hold on- it gets worse! As I’m washing “down there” I realize my vajayjay is burning, but it’s too late now. No turning back! This liquid has already infiltrated my nether regions. It was just as bad when I washed “back there”. ... MoreI was excited to try this because of the rave reviews. I really wanted to like this soap but I was a bit disappointed. First let's start with the small pro. If you take morning showers I think this would be perfect , it's mint scent and tingling sensation refreshes you and wakes you. Perfect start for your day, however ..... The cons. After your shower your skin is left feeling well dry. But what I disliked the most was the texture of my hair. Even while I was lathering my hair I could feel the texture change kind of like a straw/hay feeling. I didn't think anything of it at first and thought maybe it'll feel different once it dries out. Boy was I wrong! I couldn't even brush my hair. Literally was struggling to comb my hair. And keep in mind my hair is naturally straight. Boy was I wrong! I couldn't even brush my hair. Literally was struggling to comb my hair. And keep in mind my hair is naturally straight. I added some moose to my hair to see if that would help , NOPE! If anything it made it worse . I couldn't even style my hair like I usually do. It felt so dry and poofy. Just a hot mess in general. I couldn't take the texture of my hair so after the second day of giving the soap another try I went to buy some shampoo. BUT the new shampoo I bought alone wasn't enough. Even after i rinsed my hair I had to apply conditioner to my hair and let it set finally my hair was back to it's soft texture after that. It's almost like this soap ripped my hair if it's nutrients. I'm planning on returning the soap back tomorrow. All in all if you think about it if a soap can be used for cleaning and laundry.....maybe it shouldn't be used on our hair and skin.
The fragrance in storebought shampoos and soaps makes my eczema worse. I couldn't find any shampoos without fragrance, so I tried using Dr Bronner's Castile soap as shampoo. What a nightmare. My hair was so coated in waxy gunk that it took about 36 hours to sort of dry, though still covered in gunk that hadn't rinsed out. All the oils got trapped in my scalp, and my hair got really disgusting after about four days (normally I wash my hair once a week). So I washed my hair with free and clear dish soap, and a gallon container of white vinegar that I took into the shower. Then my hair was clean. I also tried to use Dr Bronmer's as hand soap, but the pump kept clogging up. I also tried to use Dr Bronmer's as hand soap, but the pump kept clogging up. I then went to the kitchen to make a diluted batch of Dr Bronner's Castile soap, and after it cooled, I poured it into the hand soap pump bottle. Some of the diluted soap went down my garbage disposal, and I was wondering why it left a white residue on the black rubber flaps over the garbage disposal. I suppose it is the glycerine. That diluted soap left a waxy gunk on my hands every time that I washed, so that I began to avoid washing my hands. Finally, I dumped that diluted soap down the drain, and filled my handsoap container with free and clear dishsoap. And today, I used Dr Bronner's liquid Castile sugar soap to wash my underarms, and found myself having to apply hydrocortisone cream because of the irritation. I think it's the glycerine. The cheap lavender non-glycerine bar soap that most stores carry does not irritate my skin. I give Dr Bronner's three stars, for trying to make a difference with beautiful natural products. But I just cannot use glycerin products for any kind of cleaning. I don't understand why my experience is so different from all the other people who wrote reviews here.
This soap is my absolute favorite! I always have super itchy skin most of the time from food allergies or razor bumps and this peppermint soap completely calms my entire body with minty tingles! It’s especially good in the hot months when you need something to cool you down! I wash with it every night and it knocks me out and I finally get the sleep I need, it’s so soothing for soreness too! This soap is also really great if you have a hard time waking up in the morning, it’s really invigorating and refreshing like you just walked out of a waterfall! I also use this soap as a foot soak when my feet really hurt and I swear it takes the swelling down! Now that I’ve tried the peppermint, I really want to try the eucalyptus and the tea tree one!
