But if you have any acne at all cystic acne, blackheads, or any of that, wash your face with it in the morning, and it will also take dark circles from under your eyes because of the peppermint and it makes your face fresh and clear. I bought this in-store at Walmart. I use it for evening showers, wiping down small surfaces & electronics screens, and cleaning the floors. I don't dilute it for showering because using a washcloth that is soaked with water helps with that. I do dilute it when using it as the all-purpose spray. Just make sure you give your diluted containers a shake before using because some of the soap's contents settle at the bottom.The peppermint scent in particular is great for showering on hot days, after a long day of work, after being outside, or after physical activity. I searched a long time for something safe to clean my retainer and night guard with, because I no longer wanted to use products containing bleach. I found that bleach left a chemical taste on my "hardware", as well as discolored and caused the plastic to become brittle over time. It burns- but in a good way. I especially like this soap for when I travel or go camping. Besides being biodegradable in nature (as are all Dr. Bronner products), I feel like it does what no other soap can do when I’m in questionable environments. The product is genuine and you know exactly what you’re getting. After the burn, is a cool freshness- this the body equivalent of mouthwash. Maybe burn was a bad word. The point is- I’m not complaining. Love love love. If mint is too strong for you, lavender and rose scents instead, can easily lighten the experience. But if you’re into a good morning wake up call in the shower, this will absolutely awaken the senses.
After decades of using and loving Dr. Bronner's castile, liquid soaps, I realize that I must stop. The addition of palm oil to the soap is the issue. Although Dr. Bronner's uses sustainable sources as well as limiting its plantations to West Africa and South America, that does not eliminate the problem. Palm oil is fungible. Its market price is determined by supply and demand. So long as I (or we) demand Dr. Bronner's soap, we demand palm oil and prop up its price. Palm oil plantations destroy habitat and threaten orangutan populations in SE Asia with extinction. If we lower demand, we lower expansion.
Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Castile soap is the only soap we use for cleaning, washing hands, spot laundry treatment, cleaning shoes, cleaning car mats, rabbit litter boxes, and everything else we can imagine. This is truly a magic soap as it's so useful for nearly anything and everything. Every sink in our house has a foam pump dispenser with a few tablespoons of this soap mixed with water. We've tried other brands of castile soap, but nothing beats the quality and fresh and clean scent of organic essential oils of Dr. Bronner's soap. We love that the company is also fair trade certified and the soap is also certified vegan. Excellent soap from a very ethical and sustainable company!
I ended using this soap because my daughter had been buying it. I was wondering why she was spending so much money on this body wash. So being nosy I decided to try it. The texture is very thin and watery. The smell is very minty. So I’m thinking it’s not going to do much. I used this with my exfoliating mitt and my skin got extremely clean. I’m talking about Lever 2000 in the early 90’s before they changed the formula clean. But also tingly from the peppermint. If you think your body wash has been doing the trick try this stuff. I hate to sound gross but the amount of dirt that it takes off is insane. And it doesn’t leave your skin feeling dry at all. It only takes a small amount. Just a tiny squirt so it’s easy to make a bottle last for months. It’s super strong.
I don't get all the hype behind this product. I've heard so many good things about Dr. Bronners for so long that I finally caved and purchased it. Doesn't matter how much I dilute it, it leaves an unpleasant residue on my hands and dries them out. Doesn't work well to clean fruit like the bottle says. I've tried to use it as a shaving cream and it was fine, but again, it dried my skin out so badly, I won't be repeating that. The bottle says you can use it to bathe your pets. I 100% do not recommend that due to the difficulty rinsing the product completely off your bare skin -- imagine trying to get it out of your dog's hair. Just trust me on this one and don't do it.

I enjoy the Lavender, Almond and Rose scents best. Even Citrus. But that one burns some for me, if you have a scratch or sensitive areas.
