Beautifully made - the quality is outstanding!Lovely soft leather.Great fit- apart from the band across the top of the foot at the bottom of the laces!I don't have a high arch - but it is soooo tight that it's painful!But the rest of the boot is so nice that I couldn't bring myself to send them back!I'm persevering with the stretching and the wearing - hoping it will improve!That's the only reason that they're not 5 star.After reading quite a few of the reviews, I can see that this is mentioned a lot!C'mon Dr Martens - take notice!I purposely bought the soft leather to avoid having to 'break them in' - so it's a little bit annoying!

Although these are the basic style, I find these to fit me better than all the others. Being a biologically born woman, with UK size 6 feet [39eu] ,I find Doctor Martens to fit overly large yet if I were to size down to a UK size 5 they are too short in length [toes pressing against the end of the boots]. This style however fits perfectly in the UK size 6. The leather is nice and soft as opposed to that awful hard rubberised leather that Dr Martens use sometimes. The colour is interesting. I would love to see more colours for the taller length boots of this style. I own the mid height version and the calf length version [can never remember their titles]. These boots are actually comfortable!

The look of the boots is not great as it looks like clown`s shoes (a bit too wide at the front and then it narrows down mid-shoe), the leather material seems to be impenetrable and keeps your feet warm and the soles are comfortable.You don`t have to break them in as the leather is soft.I would have preferred a tiny bit lower as it would not suit fatty ankles, which I am not far from. Generally good quality but the prices increase every year and I do not see a difference. Price in 2022 was £10 less than in 2023 and the quality has not changed.

Finally treated myself after not having a pair for about 25 years. I absolutely love my new DMs, leather is very soft. I wore them in the house for a few hours, just to get used to them again and then have been fine wearing them all day long. I did buy some Dr Marten Socks to help the process along but I found the soft leather boots very comfortable from the moment I put them on. I wasn't sure what size to go for as I'm a 7 in some things and an 8 in others. But I went for the 8 and they have been good, especially as I will tend to wear them with thicker socks.
The Pascal 1460 have been the best boots i have ever purchased, no having to wear them in, as Leather is softer than other 1460 's, I get freezing cold feet, my feet haven't been cold once, admittedly I went up one size for those really freezing cold days to wear thicker socks.I have had multiple back surgeries and the boot's, been higher up my leg gives me more support as stand up straighter.I can highly recommend buying the softer leather 1460 Pascal boots, so comfortable, I can wear them from early morning until late without moaning feet hurt. 10 STARS
Bought the 1460 Pascal Virginia Leather Boots for my wife’s 45th birthday.She’s never owned a pair of Dr Martens but had recently expressed interest in getting a pair. Don’t know if she was dropping hints or not, but I’m taking full credit for remembering anyway.Went with these classic boots, as cool as some of the other styles look, I thought I’d better play it safe.The quality is fantastic and my wife loves them - I’ve been told I did very well.They were comfy from the first time she put them on. The leather to the top half of each boot is so soft, yet they look like they will last a long time, and fit snuggly around the ankle.They go great with my wife’s style of clothing - tight jeans, boot cut jeans, cargo pants etc.
Lovely boots to look at. However, I sized up as I have a high arch. . . I'm a size 6 in Nikes so went for a size 7 - the are plenty long enough but the seam across the top of the foot was so ridiculously tight it was painful!!I ended up buying some shoe stretchers to "break them in"So while, the length of them is good and I have room for thick socks AND tights, the width/top where the laces start is not giving.Now that I've done the stretching, the shoes are almost completely comfortable. they do slightly rub at the heel on one foot but that should stop soon I think!
For someone who grew up wearing Dr.Martins buying these boots was not just about style and quality, but also about reliving memories from 26 years ago. This model is very soft and super comfortable leather. I have been wearing them for 2 weeks now and absolutely no discomfort. Dressed then up for office party and wore casual to the dog park.I usually wear size 6US or 36 European size. This boot is marked as 6US, but 37 European, therefore fits slightly larger. However, going a whole size smaller might not be such a good idea. This way I can still put thicker sock on or have a slight space in case foot swelling after long wear.

But these seemed to tight on the in step for me to do that. So I returned them and got a 1/2 size bigger which they do!OMG. I love them . My foot just slotted in, I felt tightness but not being in pain ! So maybe just needed that extra room in the instep made the difference! I've worn them twice and once to break in the house. 1460 Pascal Virginia Lace-Up Boots are a versatile staple in my wardrobe. Initially, sizing up to an 8 was too large, so I exchanged for a 7 and stretched them slightly with a can of peppers and heat. Removing the insoles helped achieve a perfect fit.
