I absolutely loved these when I first bought them! Then the ankle straps ripped up my ankles. A few months later the sole came completely off. Finally I discovered I could sand down the area the straps were rubbing. Worked perfectly! Then I used gel gorilla glue and reattached the sole. Now they're back in tip-top shape. I just feel like for the price I paid that I shouldn't have had to do any of that.

Basically wide fit sandals

My wide foot girlies. These were made for us. I am usually cautious of buying any shoe that has unadjustable straps across the top of the foot, because my feet swell. I am so happy I got these, I have extra space in them. I can see why narrow and slim foot girlies in the comments don’t like them. I actually really like not having them touch and rub so close to the foot. I have worn them multiple times with no issues, except I looked way too cute. They are comfortable and so cute. They are Doc Martens. If you are familiar with the brand, they almost lays need breaking in. So, I’m a little confused by the blister complaints. Best pair of sandals I owe

Beautiful pair of sandals and very well made. I wear them everyday for 2 weeks now, no sign of tear. Never hurt my feet, even on the first day. Although they look chunky, they are lightweight and very comfortable. One thing I might add- not for wider feet for sure. If you're mid size like I am, for example size 5.5, size 5 is a perfect fit but I wouldn't buy a size smaller like others have mentioned here. Another great product of DM.

Disappointing

During my younger years I wore DM boots and shoes constantly - I loved them. I never had to ‘break in’ a pair and never got blisters as the leather was soft.Unfortunately the same cannot be said for these sandals. Although I love the style of the sandals they are totally unwareable 😢 The leather is so hard. I have used DM leather protector and left for 24 hours, coconut oil twice and left for 24 hours and repeated, wrapped the leather in water soaked rags for 48 hours but the sandal leather is still tough. I have worn them around the house for short periods but still developing blisters. I really don’t know if I will ever be able to wear the sandals for any length of time which is sad because I really do love them 😢

Love love these sandals

I tell you I wanted some Dr. Marten sandals for a looong time. I just couldn’t decide which ones to get. I opted for these since I have a wide foot and felt these would give me a bit more space. Upon arrival, I gasped, wow they are gorgeous in person, I wore them the next day and the left one rubbed above my heel, I tightened the strap on that one and seemed to do the trick no more rubbing no blisters and surprisingly very comfortable sandals. I get a lot of compliments, but that is to be expected, them being so pretty, they are my go to sandals, as they go with everything. Thanks for making these gorgeous sandals. As with all my Dr. Martens, I size down, I normally wear a size 7 woman but get a size 6 woman in Dr.Martens.

Love them !

These are absolutely gorgeous , I love them ! The leather is actually quite soft, they don't feel like they will rub too badly whilst wearing in . The height is great I'd wanted a pair like this for ages . I'm old enough to know better ( 60 ! ) but hey, life is too short not to buy what you like ! My first Docs were original lace up boots , back in my youth. Love the brand and how wonderful all the different styles there are now xxxx

My daughter is 58 yrs

My daughter is 58 yrs old now, she’s been investing in Dr. Martens shoes, boots for many years, but when went on a trip to Camden Lock in London last month with a friend we went to Dr. Martens shop and saw all sorts of shoes and boots. What really fascinated me was the beauty and leather smells in the shop. The rest is history. I’m waiting to finish paying for my first sandals, being a pensioner before I get another pair. Thank you Dr. Martens. I love my sandals and happy that at age, 80+ I can wear your sandals.

My new favourite footwear

Absolutely love these sandals. I'm a UK 6 with slim/average width feet and found it useful I could make the top and back straps tighter (used tightest setting) and they fit like a dream. First time wearing them, I was dancing all night with no issues. Then wore them around the airport to fly on holiday and even in 30 degree heat they did not cause any blisters or rubbing. So happy with my purchase. And they look great with ant style of clothing.

Super cool sandals but not particularly well designed for slender feet!

They came out of the box looking flawless, fierce and as promisingly perfect as hoped. Chunky, bold, strong, sleek, and not too ridiculously massive- even with the platforms and in a size 7! My honest opinion is that these are 95% perfect. However, you do need to check sizing very carefully. I never, ever go by UK sizes on shoes or clothes these days as they vary so wildly from one designer to another, and instead always look at the European sizing. I am a fairly true European size 41 (a sort of biggish UK size 7?) though can sometimes wear an European 40.5 depending on the shape of the shoe (I measure at 26cm and am cis-female, if that helps or makes any difference) and length wise these sandals fit perfectly (I hate any overhanging heel or toe as that looks bloody ... MoreThey came out of the box looking flawless, fierce and as promisingly perfect as hoped. The issue I have is that, what used to be ‘normal width’ (i.e., not wide) fit some years ago now seems harder to find in many brands, or else has been relabeled as ‘narrow fit’ (I.e., Dr. Martens, most high street fashion retailers). So, the issue with the straps on these Blaire Quad Hydro sandals that previous buyers have reported was also a problem for me. The third strap (from the toes backwards) gapes oddly and doesn’t lie flat against the foot- it gapes with so much space I am able to fit my fingers comfortably between my foot and the strap. There is no way of adjusting any straps except the ankle strap. Therefore, not sure how these will pan out in terms of usage! Haven’t worn them yet, just tried them on in the house briefly with socks. They are delightfully light and weightless on the feet (a joyful relief after the far too heavy Dr. Marten platform shoes I purchased recently) but these sandals obviously have no flex or movement in the soles at all, so you walk as you would in any platform shoe- without really bending or arching your foot at all. This might be an issue for some folk if you’re not used to wearing a platform shoe. I wasn’t planning on hiking far or dancing all night long in them, just wanted some cool summer sandals to wear short distances or to the pub, so can deal with not being as nimble or fast on my feet as in some other shoes, but they are effectively a ‘fashion shoe’, not a particularly practical option. I knew that though. They’re so cool looks-wise, I want to love them forever, but Dr Martens really need to wake up to the fact that they are losing customers over not doing half sizes or ‘narrow fitting’ (I.e., normal width) shoes. This is a huge mistake in my opinion. I’d happily buy these again at full price in a 40.5 ‘narrow’ fit and they’d be perfect for a ‘normal’ width UK 7! Alas, such sizes do not exist! I’ll keep them though and see how I get on this summer as they appear to be well made (time will tell), are as light as can be in terms of weight, look super cool and will go with literally everything, but I will probably buy something else in future that is truer in sizing. I would probably not size down length wise to be honest (but do work out your European size before buying or measure in centimeters for an accurate fit) but if you have narrower/slimmer/bonier feet (I.e. normal width not chubby or wide ones) you might prefer to look elsewhere, or wear these with thick socks (not ideal for a summer sandal)! I have a similar issue with sizing on my DM shoes mind you, but can’t size down to a UK 6 in Dr Martens as these hurt my toes. Sort out some half sizes and narrow fits please Dr Martens!!! You’re losing customers over this issue! Thanks!

The New Summer Sandal

They’re stylish, comfy and cute! I’d been wanting these for a while and last minute purchased them to wear for a 3-day convention. The shipping was super fast and I was pleasantly surprised with how easy these were to break in. For a few days I wore moleskin padding in the back of my heels and small bandaids on my pinkie toes so I could get used to them and it worked like a charm. My only “downside” is that if you’re wearing them outdoors and do a lot of walking, your feet will get a little sweaty. Aside from that, I love them!
