This is constantly my first choice for finishing gakvanised products . I Choose it OVER Powder Coating.. It does need attention to detail to get very good results as not folowing Dulux veary good rcomendation will eventually result in disapointmnet. So after obtaining excelent results over the last 5 or so years on many projects I highly recomend.

Note: will likely work for your needs, but pretty poor at painting over aluminium (interior) window frames. My frames were brown, so about 3 coats needed to get good coverage, which was understandable. The problem was even with allowing 24hr drying time and using thin coats, the paint adheres poorly. When I pulled off my painters tape, it puled up strips on the paint along the edges in random spots too. I had come too far, so i re-taped, re applied, then went around with a stanley knife so the tape would come away crisp. It looks fine, as long as no one ever even mildly scratches them. This was recommended to me by bunnings.

Comes out the spray gun okTakes min 2 days to dry before you can move the job, any touch ups turn to orange peelGet a 2 Pac paint before this stuffBrush on for iron would be ok
Was told that this does not require a primer. Door frame is a metal frame and has been cleaned and then lightly sanded. Photos of after application and 2 weeks after. Frame was painted in preparation for new door. Some minor scratches and notice that the black paint isn't sticking to frame
Re-fubished my pool fence which was powder coated/galvanised steel which was faded and blistering from oxidation. Cleaned it up with emery and coated the worst of it with silver frost then 2 coats of the epoxy and it looks brand new.
I have bought an used many metal spray products over the years. I bought 6 cans of this rubbish. The nozzles constantly clogged, in some case with the first use of the can.Secondly the drying time is days not hours. 24 hours later and usually the sprayed item is still tacky and isn't usable.Third even once dry, its not very durable.Honestly don't waste your money on this junk.
This product is easy to apply and does create a nice finish, but takes alot longer than 24hrs to dry. The fully cured finish is very soft still even after a month of drying. Once the paint gets water on it from rain etc, it is very easy to scratch the paint of with your finger nail. I would not recommend using this product and look for something more durable
Bought this Jan2022 to paint over previously painted metal. Sanded & properly prepared surface & wiped down twice with turpentine as I wanted a glassy gloss finish.Plenty of bubbles on painted surface which then burst when half dried causing craters. Very POOR coverage. I had to apply 3 coats to get decent finish. Very BAD experience.
This an excellent paint for its intended purpose. BUT, it wont be hurried. Apply it in thin coats and allow plenty of drying time between coats. Despite its odd name , "Forest Blues" is a great colour.
