The orange and blue traction is a one piece unit that peels off!Since my first round the shoes started to peel apart. Have had to use shoe glue after every round this year and I'm a weekly golfer.Don't be frustrated and disappointed like me! Unless I'm the only one experiencing this issue because the reviews are still high on this product. The one star is that these shoes are comfortable but the flip flop flap walking around the golf course is embarrassing.

Before I explain, let me say that I've worn Ecco golf shoes for 20 years now -right out of the box onto the golf course - instant comfort - never another brand in all that time. But these H4's have broken the mold for me - the overall comfort is typical Ecco - but the side wall height is rubbing on my ankle bones. If that was all the negative of my experience, this would still be a very positive review. But the disappointment was triggered when I called Ecco and told them that, despite wearing them gently twice on the golf course to make sure it wasn't just an atypical break-in period, and asked if I could send them back for a full or partial credit towards another Ecco model shoe, they said I was out of luck. If I had worn them around the house for 60 days (the return policy prescription) and then decided the fit wasn't right for me, I would be able to return them for a refund. Frankly, this seems like a distinction without a difference - in either case the shoes could not be resold as new. So, I'm going to try and make the best of it since I've sink $200 into them, but when these wear out or my feet tell me it's time for "better" fitting shoes, I may, for the first time in 2 decades, decide to look at other shoe brands. I never thought it would come to this, but Ecco may have forced the decision on me. And so, disappointing is the name of my review.

Bought a new pair of H4's beginning of 2022 season. These shoes have a great fit to my foot. Walking was an epic experience, the sole forms to your foot the best of any shoe, making walking very enjoyable. Maybe a touch on the heavy side but nothing that should deter from purchase. Sizing was slightly smaller than I anticipated. I needed to take the insole out for the extra wide to fit proper. Grip of the cleats was great. Stability was great, maybe too good. This is where the shoe has a major flaw in my opinion. I will preface this, I do have a 118 mph driver swing speed and play to the plus side of the handicap scale, playing 4 times per week. Here goes nothing, the lugs on the mid-outside edge of the shoe need to be redesigned. I started to notice that I was ... MoreBought a new pair of H4's beginning of 2022 season. I started to notice that I was experiencing left foot pain (lead foot, right handed golfer) on the outside edge of the foot. Didn't think much of this as it would come and go. I played these shoes for about 3 months, left foot pain continued to get worse, so off to the doctor I went. Turns out I had developed a stress fracture of the left 5th metatarsal, requiring surgery and an end to the golf season. Whether this was caused by the shoe is up for debate, I feel it had a large contribution to it, reasoning is that the fracture is directly at the highest point of the lug. It needs to be re-designed to run the full length back toward the heal to prevent a single stress point in the middle of the 5th metatarsal. Now I am all healed, I cannot put the shoe on and comfortably swing, I can feel the contact point of the lug on the fracture sight and it is painful. Sorry Ecco shoes feel great to walk in but I just cant risk a reinjury.

Shoes fit great and were comfortable; little to no break in time but the quality of the materials is terrible. Colour wears off the toes and my golf shoes only last a total of 1 and a third Canadian golf seasons before the material separated where the upper connects to the sole. 1 year limited warranty on golf shoes; might as well just spit in my face. Way too expensive for shoes that can’t even make it through 8 months of casual wear. Won’t be buying anymore shoes from ECCO
Not these, but since we did not ask me about the same H4 White ones I had just bought, that came apart, I'm going to tell you about them. The toe sections on both L & R shoes came unglued within a month of use! And now I have to wait WEEKS to get them replaced! And what do you think we are to do when, based on a quality issue, we lose the use of a pair of shoes! If a quality issue, we should get replacements expidited out to us within a week, not weeks as you have outlined. It's really going to make me think twice about ordering shoes from you again.
I always wanted Ecco’s and when prices dropped I bought 2 pair of the water repellent materials. They are oookayyyy, but not as good as I hoped. I am retired so don’t play in rain so water treatment doesn’t really matter. I was let down by how quickly they looked “tired” . I have several other shoes that are less expensive and more comfortable and look better longer. If water resistant level is not important to you, I’d buy other shoes…. Too bad. I was hoping for the old style shoe that looked so great on Freddy.
For the amount they charge for the shoes their customer service is discusting and there should not be any warranty to begin with. The warranty aspect went smooth until they only had 8 different options for me to chose and 4 were the same shoe. Customer service stated that they don't have much available this time of year yet will only give you 2 months mid Canada winter to decide on the limited products available. I will "NEVER" purchase anything else from this company.
If it was not for these shoes I would have had to end my season early so you can understand why I’m surprised to read comments below about poor quality and construction.Last season I found myself limping after my rounds for 1-2 days with a tearing feeling down my foot. It got so bad that I stopped playing all together for weeks. Once I thought It was better - again it happens, round after round after taking my shows off my foot collapses. Now I know I should probably stopped playing and let it heal but you all know that itch.So If I was gonna keep playing I needed to try something new - so I bought my first Biom 4s and things started to change. Not only did I feel more supported while playing - I actually stopped having issues when they came off.I week into wearing these while still playing regularly my foot returned to normal. I’m not saying these are some medical heal all shoes but to sit hear and see comments about quality being poor just does not represent my experience and the experience of my friends who have recently converts to Ecco thanks to my experiences.I’ve said this for a year straight - theses shoes are the single greatest investment I have made in my game.I am a lifetime convert thanks to what a quality shoe - that’s still rocking over 100 walking round in - did for my feet.
I checked out these shoes in the store but as they didn't have the color in my size they placed an order online to be shipped to me. Shipping went fine. But the shoes that arrived were clearly worn. The leather was creased and broken in on the top of the shoe, the bottoms were scuffed, and despite a thorough cleaning there was still dirt on the cracks and crevices.I reached out to ECCO and they told me "they were sorry someone else had previously tried on the pair of shoes."They couldn't have been more condescending if they tried. Despite the shoe I received looking nothing like the ones I tried on in the store (clearly worn in).If you do go with this product make sure you get the exact one you want in person and pray you never need customer service.
Bought these shoes last month due to a recommendation from one of the associates. What a disappointment. I had high hopes due to the price of the shoes. After the first round I hated them. not only were they uncomfortable ( figured just needed to be broken in). But after 4 rounds they not only look like they’re years old, due to cracking and the toe crease area. They still are not comfortable. A complete waste of money. Had to buy a different shoe.
