Elta MD is GREAT for a body sunscreen. It’s thick, full coverage, and sweat resistant. It’s somewhat expensive compared to other body sunscreens, but the quality is worth it for coverage of sensitive areas like the chest, neck, and shoulders. However, using elta MD on my face caused me to break out. It’s a bit too greasy for those who are acne prone. I will continue to buy and use elta MD body sunscreen but I wouldn’t use it on my face again!

Now I take care of my skin, I have a skincare routine in the morning and night, I also do treatments like micro needling, dermaplanning etc. I first purchased EltaMD’s sport spf 50 because it’s summer on the east coast in the United States, and I sweat. I also wanted a special sunscreen for my face when I’m at the pool club. The first morning I put it on, I did my skincare routine right when I woke up, and 2 hours later while I was getting ready for work, I then applied this sunscreen so my skincare products had enough time to sink into my skin. I instantly fell in love. I love the way it feels on my skin and the way it looks! It leaves a somewhat dewy look on me (I’m not sure if that’s also the moisturizer I have on under it or what but I love it!) - and it sinks into my skin so nicely!! I’ve been using it faithfully every day for about a month now, I wear it even inside on cloudy days and I don’t take it off until before bed when I do my nighttime skincare. I haven’t gotten burned once. I’ve used it during our heatwave when the sun was oh so strong, and it protected my skin. I also cover my face with a hat when I can and something over my bathing suit when I’m not swimming, and avoiding being directly in the sun when I can. I’m just so happy with this product! I was so happy that I went to purchase the tinted spf from EltaMD spf 46 I think? I haven’t used that yet but what I’m going to try to do is days that I’m not at the pool or in the hot sun much sweating, I’m going to use the tinted one. When I wear the waterproof SPF 50, I always double cleanse with an oil first, and then a regular cleanser. The oil cleansers helps to get waterproof spfs off of your skin. If you’re looking for an spf that protects your skin and is one of the best on the skin, look no further. I will always use this brand because I’ve tried so many, luxury, store bought - trust me, sooo many!! And EltaMD is my fav!!

Best Sunscreen Ever

Definitely a family favorite! I love that my whole family can use this sunscreen. Especially for my boys, it does not burn their eyes while sweating. As a mom this is a huge plus. Our to go to sunscreen for the pool, waterpark, sports and any outdoor activities here in Houston, TX. I love that I can trust this product to protect my family. I know that while they are wearing it I don't have to worry about sun damage. Definitely no sunburns ever! I love EltaMD spf! My dermatologist recommended to me to use this brand for my face as well as my body. I use the EltaMD UV clear broad-spectrum spf 46 (untinted) for sensitive facial skin (i.e. rosacea, acne, hyperpigmentation, etc) for my face and have been for well over a year and love it! Before this summer began I asked my Dermatologist about what spf would be good to use on my body. I don't actively lay in the sun or go to the pool or anything, but I do walk at least 3 miles outside everyday and needed something for my arms, neck, shoulders, legs, etc. and she suggested this sport broad-spectrum spf 50 by EltaMD. So I'll be honest, I'm pretty obsessed with using sunscreen and trying to slow the aging process of my skin and of course just be healthy with my skin!! Don't want any bad skin checks at my yearly appointments! Get this SPF! You'll love it! I will continue to use this brand for my facial spf (lays so well under makeup and on top of skincare), and will continue to use the sport 50 for my body! Great brand, great quality! Best sunblock for outdoor activities!

I live the n Florida, and love being outdoors. I also love keeping my 51 year old skin healthy and young looking. Thirdly, I am very particular about what I put on my sometimes sensitive skin, and try to avoid harmful chemicals as best as I can. Let me tell you- what a dilemma!!! I have tried many many many sunscreens that fit these requirements, and have found a few that made me relatively happy, albeit they have always left a greasy residue (not fun when you are exercising in unrelenting sun). It was great even through a mega paddle board sweat session in high 80 degree weather and high humidity. No greasy oily anything, my pores were so happy. Granted, I am looking at this as a true utilitarian tool for sun protection against very unforgiving sun rays here in Florida. It does the job splendidly and “un-greasily”!! Perhaps if you are looking at more of a daily under your makeup kind of sunblock for the face, try EltaMDs sunscreen for that application. It’s also fabulous and I use mine as a foundation. However, cannot recommend the sport block enough as a true sunscreen for outdoor pursuits. It’s the best!!

Elta MD UV Sport Body Sunscreen

This is an excellent product. Be sure to follow the directions and towel dry your skin before you apply it. Otherwise I have found that the zinc oxide stays white on your skin for a few minutes before being absorbed. When you apply it to dry skin, it is absorbed immediately and leaves a beautiful glow on your skin. I have used Elta MD face sunscreen for years. Both of these products have given me great sun protection but I still get a nice tan (never burn).

Good protection but slick and shiny

I want a reliable sunscreen for summer morning bike rides, and this is a reliable product. It does have a "sunscreen" odor that dissipates. It is a non-drying formula which is good for skin especially in a dry climate. It is shiny on the skin, and its slickness makes it a poor candidate for under-makeup wear. It leaves no white cast.I wish EltaMD had not discontinued the spf 46 product that was zinc and octinoxate. It was perfect. I've tried several EltaMD alternatives, and none are as good both in terms of protection and cosmetic elegance.

Literally a Lifesaver

Growing up in Colorado you have a lot of sun exposure. In my 40’s I had my first scare with skin cancer. Now in my 50’s it’s all about daily SPF coverage. Elta MD gives you a layer of protection without clogging your pores. It goes on white but absorbs into the skin to give you a glowing sheen. And your makeup glides right over it. Note the consistence is thick but it absorbs beautifully so it does not feel heavy on your skin. My dermatologist recommended Elta MD after my last treatment and I will never use anything else.

Full chemical sunscreens tend to break me out, but full mineral sunscreens tend to be too drying due to the mineral powders that need to be used to formulate it. I love that this one is a combination sunscreen, it really is the best of both options. I have tried a few other Elta MD sunscreens, such as UV Clear, but this is my favorite by far. This is because the UV clear kind of has more or a matte dry down, but the UV sport is more dewy. I do not get irritated using this sunscreen and I appreciate a dewy finish after applying. Since I have very dry skin, I am always looking for something that makes me look moisturized. Product great but Walmart has the wrong picture..

The picture shown is not what we received. The picture shows a can and we purchased this before many times. It has a little pumper that is great. What we received was a tube of the product that looks like a tube of toothpaste. This brand is fantastic we have used it for the last 15 years. Prefer it in the can however with the pumper. On the plus side what they sent us was an ounce more than the can. But again if you show a picture of the product you expect to get that. MAGA
