I first used this during my mid twenties when ANR was still the original formula - before it underwent god knows how many reincarnations. Back then I used to find it would help a little with the odd acne mark that would appear every few weeks but did little else for my skin concerns. I was primarily using it in the hopes of some sort of defense against future ageing, but I can't say whether or not it achieved anything, as once the bottle ran out I started using other products and then recently thought why not give it another go? So onto the latest version 'Synchronized Recovery Complex' which I tried earlier this year. So onto the latest version 'Synchronized Recovery Complex' which I tried earlier this year. I don't know if it's the fact that 'Tocopherol Acetate' (Vitamin E) has been pushed down to 30th place on ingredients list (used to be 13th), or whether it's because 'Retinyl Palmitate (an ester of Vitamin A) has been completely removed from the new version, but this one didn't do anything for acne marks whatsoever and I used it for over a month. It makes sense as both of those ingredients, especially Vitamin A in any form, are known to help fade marks. Add to that a whole host of new and unpronounceable ingredients and that probably explains why if anything I'd experienced even more breakouts when using this...although which one (or more) of the many new ingredients is the culprit I couldn't say! Not sure why they just couldn't let a good thing be and have to change/ruin it?Edit: Have recently tried ANR, again but for a shorter time period and somehow this time around it did show a difference on a small acne mark on my chin, not as significantly as with the original formulation back in the days, but definitely more than when initially using. Not sure if its potency increases over time or if there's some other logic behind it...-- My Top 10 Beauty Must-Haves

I was super thrilled to finally have this complimentary deluxe miniature arrive in the mail from Estee Lauder! I previously tried and reviewed their eye serum, and remember how adorable the Robinâs egg blue box was with the gold foil accent. Inside came the miniature version of the Advanced Night Repair, Estee Lauderâs flagship serum. The serum comes in a dark amber vial with a dropper for the cap. Upon applying the product to my cleansed face, the softly amber-tinted serum adhered to my skin like magical dew drops. I personally much prefer a pump to a dropper, especially when it comes to something as runny as a serum. I was a sight to behold as I clumsily used the teeny tiny dropper to strategically dispense the serum evenly across my face - admittedly creating a bit of a mess in my sink in the process. This is a very concentrated serum, and I hadnât realized that until I checked my skin about 15 minutes later. Even with my extremely dry skin, I managed to maintain the healthy, nourished, dewy look this product achieved. I have to subtract a star, because I did feel a bit of what I would describe as a slight greasiness after most of the product had absorbed. The plus to this, is that my skin was able to maintain itâs moisture and healthy glow. The downside is that I cannot stand touching my face and feeling any sort of âfilmâ on top. The premise of this product is to replenish and renew your skinâs moisture barrier by night and provide powerful antioxidant protection against free radical damage induced by modern day stressors by day. While the anti-aging properties can be judged after weeks of consistent use, you will notice a visible boost to your skinâs radiance with just one dropper. Not sure I have found the fountain of youth, but we shall find out.

I love this product ever since it was launched. The pipette application makes it much easier to apply as much or as little as you want. The texture is so soothing for night time. Some say the smell is strange. I like the fact itâs not over fragrant for night time use. I use it both night and day. At night I use more and massage the whole face, avoid the eye lid area, it can make your eyes sting a little, probably why they do the eye serum separately. Daytime I put a little on about 15 mins before applying make up to give it chance to soak in. I love this product, my skin feels so soft, less lines and people have commented on my glow. I have recommended it to several friends who also love it. This limited edition is great too in gift boxes for pressies if youâre ... MoreI love this product ever since it was launched. Iâve tried other serums and night creams, but keep coming back to this one. May seem pricey but it lasts ages. I will be gutted if they ever stop making it. If youâre nervous about spending that much, go to any EstĂ©e Lauder counter for a sample try. I did and I keep the sample bottle to decant for travel, such a great idea. Give it a try girls (and guys! My husband uses it too) đ

Oh boy, I really didn't want to love, or even like, this product because of its price. I'm a seasoned veteran of all things skincare, makeup, cosmetics etc. and have practiced good lifelong habits to preserve my "youthful glow" (currently in my 60s ;). Everything from K beauty, ceramides, peptides, premium as well as new and advanced drugstore offerings (and daily use of sunscreen of course). I am an obsessed label reader too, and ANR has some kick butt active ingredients in it. Without going into too much detail here, this Estee Lauder ANR has done the following for me in its first 30-60-90 days - smoothed the texture of my skin, faded dark spots, made fine lines and wrinkles appear less noticeable, gave my skin a healthy glow, didn't break me out... Have any of my other cosmetic preparations done this? Yes. But, not as well, and that's the fine point here, this ANR is just plain better than the rest. Does it justify the high price tag? Well, yes, in my opinion, even though I'm not rolling in dough, far from it. I feel more attractive and happy when my face looks it's best, blessed with good genes hasn't hurt, but let's face it in your 60s your skin just needs more attention. I use this serum every night after washing my face apply enough to cover my face and neck (and hands with the leftover) and proceed with an extra step (though not necessary), I apply an additional peptide serum (Ordinary matrixyl or Buffet) over it kprobably more out of habit), then apply a rich, ceramide-based moisturizer, and off to bed. It's gentle on my dry sensitive skin, no eye stinging, It can also be used in the a.m., which I've done before, over my L ascorbic acid serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen (works beautifully under makeup), but I've since just been using it at night because of its cost. Either way, once or twice a day, this is an amazing product that works. I'm always on the hunt for it to be on sale, since it has become a staple in my skincare routine and don't wish to be out of it at all. Definitely recommend.
This is one of the BEST facial skincare products I've ever used. I recently added it to my daily routine after another brand discontinued a serum I've been using and happy with for several years. I'm so glad now that I was forced to make a change because this serum is far superior to my previous favorite. It leaves my skin feeling silky and smooth, it brightens and evens my skin tone. I'm in my 40's and have combination skin that can get a bit oily due to living in an area with a fair amount of humidity. I have sun damage on my forehead and a bit on my cheeks that has accumulated from a lifetime of outdoor activities/hobbies and field seasons required for my work. This serum has *dramatically* decreased the darkened spots. It's remarkable to see the difference in my ... MoreThis is one of the BEST facial skincare products I've ever used. I actually really do like this serum. I view bifida ferment lysate as a soothing ingredient. It possibly has antioxidant and barrier repair properties but I like to think of this as a probiotic soothing skin supplement. It also has other soothing ingredients like chamomile and bisabolol. Hydrating ingredients like squalane, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, and B5. I am glad this high end brand has dropped the fragrance from this serum. I do wish they'd also drop the dyes since they don't serve a real purpose. I like the natural scent this product has- it's almost like a gingery Cola smell. I love pairing this serum with other pre and probiotic ingredients like oats, thermal spring water, snail mucin, etc. for soothing the skin. I took one star off for the insane price ... MoreI actually really do like this serum. I view bifida ferment lysate as a soothing ingredient. I have been using high end face products for over 25 years. Iâd always shied away from EstĂ©e Lauder thinking it was dated and old fashioned. I saw this advanced night repair on such a great TSV that I thought Iâd give it a try and not expecting anything from it (even after reading the reviews). How wrong was I!! I have been using it for five days now, twice a day and it has made such a difference to my peri menopausal skin. Iâm so surprised but over the moon. I suffer with psoriasis and my skin can get extremely dry, patchy and sore but this gem of a serum has kept my skin dewy and moisturised for the entire day and my makeup sits so well on it! I put it on after a good double cleanse twice a day using my Elemis or Gatineau cleansers, followed by Elemis pro collagen rose oil, then this beautiful serum and then followed by whatever moisturiser takes my fancy, this could be Perricone, Elemis, Gatineau, Lâoccitane, Dr Nassif or Judith Williams. All I can say is that I donât think I will EVER be without it now! It has completely transformed my skin! My skin is noticeably healthier and younger looking and any signs of dehydration has gone!

I bought this after seeing so much about it on social media. I purchased this, along with the Oil-In-Creme infusion (as a night cream) and the DayWear 72hr hydration sorbet cream. I also received a free gift that contained the Perfectly Clean foaming cleansing wash. I was still suffering from dry, flaky skin after using retinol, though I had stopped for around 2 weeks. I've tried a few moisturizers to try and restore my skin with little improvement. The night I received my order, I used the cleaning wash, followed by the ANR Serum, then the Oil-in Creme infusion. I wasn't expecting miracles, but was looking for some improvement to my skin. WOW!! By morning, my skin felt incredibly smooth and supple, the flakes were all but gone and the redness significantly reduced. ... MoreI bought this after seeing so much about it on social media. I wasn't expecting miracles, but was looking for some improvement to my skin. WOW!! By morning, my skin felt incredibly smooth and supple, the flakes were all but gone and the redness significantly reduced. Now, my skin looks better than it ever has - smooth skin, pores less visible, fine lines less visible. The serum has a really luxurious feel to it and soaks into the skin beautifully. When I apply moisturiser over the top, I don't experience any pilling like I have with other serums, particularly ones with hyaluronic acid. I no longer need a primer and my make up applies so well and lasts all day. For work, I use a drop of this serum to sheer down my Double wear foundation and it works a treat! At night I put a little on my lips before vaseline and wake up with lovely soft lips. This really is a multitasker and I would highly recommend it!
