Exped FlexMat LW Sleeping Mat is the only accordian type closed cell foam sleeping pad that I could find that is 25 inches / 63 cm wide. I use it below my inflatable sleeping pad to protect it from punctures and to add some R value. It is very light weight and as compact as any other accordian type sleeping pad but it is softer and doesn't seem as durable as other narrower closed cell foam sleeping pads in the market. I wish Exped made the Flexmat plus in a wide version.

I have only used this product a limited number of times and not for backpacking but tent camping on nicer BC Parks sites. So bear that in mind.This mat is extremely light. I am 6'2 so having the little extra length and width is important for me. Even then, this is not really that wide.This mat combines well with my Klymit Static V pad to make a good affordable starter combination.

I bought this sleeping mat to used as isolation and comfort while sleeping in my hammock in my last backpacking trip. It is very comfortable and it keep me warm, also super light and easy to transport.
The long, wide, rectangular format is a prefect base to prevent punctures to my inflatable sleeping pad, which is also rectangular in shape. I like the accordion style, which makes setup fast for sleep or as a seat. The mat is very light and easily attaches to my backpack.
I have been waiting for a product like this for years. I purchased this mat to use under my LW sleeping mat for extra comfort and puncture protection. It is very light. Will take it canoe camping and front country camping. Would have been great to have this extra padding/protection at the crushed gravel campsite I recently experienced in a well-known provincial park that renovated its sites for RVs and apparently forgot about tenters. Will also be a welcome rest pad for travel breaks.
This mat is ideal for protecting your inflatable mattress pad from punctures and adding additional insulation to your sleep system. It's not very comfortable on its own because it's not even 3/4" thick. It's best when paired with a good quality mattress pad. If you don't like the orange colour, just flip it over. It's OD green on the reverse side.
Very, very, very thin. Serves little to no purpose as and is basically a very bulky ground sheet with low puncture protection. Deceptive description with incorrect measurements in the write up, much thinner than the two descriptions of 1.8cm and 1.5cm. Just get a quality ground sheet or an actual bed roll.
Lightweight but very thin. Only make sense to buy if you need an additional layer of insulation under your main sleeping pad. Zero comfort by itself.
