My one note of design improvement is that the foam could have been better integrated into the helmet. It's a different colour than the rest, and thus stands out. Given how bulky the foam is as a result of the MIPS, it would have been ideal to integrate the colours so they looked seamless. All in all, very happy with the quality of the helmet for the price.

Fits really well with good adjustment for a growing head. Love the mips system and the extra protection it provides. Somewhat pricey, but a worthy investment to protect your little ones noggin.

I was worried at first about doing business online with Als since I have never heard of their company. But I am so glad that I did! I purchased 4 of these helmets along with riding pants and had a great experience. Price was great, product was great and shipping was right on time. Helmet fit great and felt like it was a good quality product. I like the mechanism on the back that lets you tighten it around your head. I would buy again!
I bought this helmet as an upgrade from my old Specialized helmet before MIPS had become known. The helmet is exactly what I ordered and compared to list price, Backcountry had a great deal on the product I wanted. I have ridden with this helmet probably close to 150 miles now and have crashed plenty of times. :-( Fortunately no skull crushers but the helmet has kept me confident and safe. This model lacks good ventilation IMO but that seems to be how these companies get you. You gotta buy the most expensive model to get the better airflow. The harness tightens up easy and the fit is good. Once it is on and tight it stays in place and rides well.
This mainframe helmet is perfect! Stylish, cool color that matches my bike perfectly. Just got into mountain biking and this was my first time wearing a helmet. I was a bit hesitant because I have dread locks but these were good. Very comfortable to wear and adjust and the MIPS adds additional safety to protect my head from falls. Plus ALS.com had a great price for these compared to other sites. Definitely recommend these to anyone. Will eventually get a full frame helmet for full coverage protection but these work well for overall riding.
Forgot my helmet at home and didn't feel like driving all the way home. It was a purchase of need not want. Fit is good, light weight feeling. I am using this one solely instead of my original I left at home. Other helmet is a different brand.
I bought this to go with a new bike purchase and the helmet is very comfortable and generous in size and had a long brim to block the sun. My head is a 7.5 inch and large fit perfectly. The Smith helmet I was looking at was slightly smaller in the large size and had a smaller brim.
First it’s a nice helmet and I expect to use it for a long time. I ordered a large by mistake. It was too loose but around the ears and chin strap it fit well. I ordered a medium and I can get a great fit on the helmet but the chin strap is too snug even adjusted all the way out.Maybe I have a weirdly shaped head, but I think it’s pretty average. 😀 Great overall, but the strap needs better fit over ears and longer chin strap.
Nice looking helmet but...it was already 15 months old when I received it from Fox. Fit is good. Easy to fit. Semi-comfortable after snugging it due to no padding on the back half. I lost 1 year and 3 months of its use due to Fox selling old stock as fresh. I change helmets every 5 years if there were no impacts to shorten their life. Over 20% of its life was gone when I received the helmet through Fox's online sales. I think I'll stick with Specialized helmets.
