The Speedframe Pro can go anywhere, fast Designed with input from pro mountain bike athletes, this top-tier open-face trail helmet offers a market-leading feature set including MIPS , an easily adjustable multi-position visor, a 360-degree retention system, and the dual-density Varizorb impact-absorbing EPS liner. This adds up to a performance-focused open-face trail helmet designed to give you confidence on the mountain. Features Proven MIPS impact protection system reduces rotational forces in a crash. Dual-density Varizorb EPS provides improved protection by spreading forces of impact across a wider area. Fidlock SNAP helmet buckle provides quick and secure entry and exit while wearing gloves. Removable, washable XT2 liner is antimicrobial and manages odor while wicking moisture away from the head. Optimized venting with channeled, in-molded EPS provides efficient cooling. Goggle compatible, 3-position adjustable visor. 360 Fit System allows you to dial in your perfect fit every ride. Replacement padding included. Real weight: 395 g (size M). Technology MIPS Brain Protection MIPS is a low friction layer inside the helmet which allows the head to rotate relatively to the helmet in an angled impact. This substantially reduces rotational violence and the potential for damage to the brain. Collaborating with some of the world's leading neurosurgeons and experts, MIPS has established that when you fall, your head most often hits the ground at an angle, creating a rotational shock to the brain. This rotational shock can cause strain in your brain. A helmet with MIPS absorbs much of that rotational energy, offering you better protection. And if, against all the odds, you do fall vertically onto your head, a helmet with MIPS will protect you just as well as an ordinary helmet. Certification CE EN 1078:2012

Second purchase of this helmet. First one busted when I crashed and hit my head o a rock. Only a mild concussion and 4 stitches so I guess it did its job. Light weight and v need well although the inner pads fell off fairly quickly.

I've owned speedrrames before, ever since the pro had fidlock buckles and actually fit my head comfortably, I've stuck with them, I won't use a helmet without a fidlock buckle. I use crossframe pro for road and this new speedframe is a good color, plus the fit is great. I've always liked the moto style visors that they use. The speed frame pro is an excellent value for the quality of helmet and features.

Great helmet. Very light and feels airy with its multiple vent system. Fit was a little off for me unfortunately. I’m a large size in a Smith Forefront. I initially ordered a large and found that it fit super well from the sides and around my temples but I wasn’t able to ratchet the system down far enough to fully tighten it around my head. I then ordered a size medium but had to cut down some of the Velcro padding near my temples as it really pressed down and started aching after about 30 min. Those of you in between helmet sizes be wary that the large doesn’t get small enough and the medium is a bit tight around the temples if you have a round head.

Helmet looks nice. Few things you should be aware. The helmet does not have pads in the back. It does not make it comfortable. My Troy Lee Design have a nice pad in the back. Secondly, this helmet is made for an oval head. If you have a round head I will say look a Troy Lee Design, Kask MTB Version, or others. I wish I could return it.
Hopefully just a one-off defect, but the helmet molding was weirdly not aligned. The center line of the helmet sat slightly offset of the center of my head, and it was noticeable feeling when wearing the helmet. A bit odd, but returned for another brand.Could be a great helmet if it wasn't for that, but have to give 1 star for a seeming defect. Sorry Fox.
I never thought that a shape of a head mattered. I just assumed you measure the circumference and get the appropriate size. However, I guess I have an Asian head, and the helmet was pressing against my temples and back of the head. I was trying to bear through it, but it just wasn't comfortable. You should try it before you buy it. I made the mistake by not trying it first
this is my second Speedframe as i dented my previous one on a tree but it saved my head. Its my go to enduro / xcross country helmet as i dont need a full face as i have Bell for that. The magnetic clip works well to secure the straps. Good adjustment with the rear dial. Great ventilation. Some nice colour choices.
I didn't keep this helmet. This review is for a contest. I didn't keep the helmet because the fit wasn't great for me. I'm right at 23.25" so right smack on the edge of med and lrg. Med was just to tight but the large was really big on me. The strap was nice. Sure I would have liked it if it fit better. I ended up getting a giro which got me better.
Solid helmet. Excellent safety ratings, and safety features. Fits well and is well vented, way cooler than my previous helmet (Smith Forefront). Every helmet should come with Fidlock helmet buckle (magnetic clasp). Not the lightest possible helmet, but certainly not heavy considering the price. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the market for a new half-lid helmet.
Overall, the helmet is great. I upgraded from a Bell Super 3r and the weight and venting in my opinion is about the same.I love the slender appearance of the speedframe and the comfort of the straps. My only gripe is with the visor. The visor pivot is mounted higher on the top of the helmet, and the visor itself isn’t long. When you wear the helmet, you don’t even see a majority of the visor even if it’s in the most downward position. The annoying thing I notice is that when wearing sunglasses, there’s a sliver of sunlight that gets to your eyes between my glasses and visor. Also, another gripe with the visor, it’s in a slightly different color and texture than the rest of the helmet, what gives? The visor could have benefited from a little more R&D.
