A fresh, floral composition tinged with sparkling, fruity notes that takes the radiance of the GABRIELLE CHANEL fragrance line to new heights. Inspired by Gabrielle Chanel’s free-spirited and passionate personality, this interpretation unveils a different side of the original scent: instinctive, spontaneous and authentic. It celebrates the natural elegance with which Mademoiselle led her life. The composition appears to hover weightlessly in its square bottle, crafted from ultra-thin glass. The label and stopper are dressed in a rosy beige gold shade. Before it was the name of a fragrance, Gabrielle was the name of a woman: Coco Chanel. A woman who made history by changing the rules. A woman who always chose who she wanted to be. To wear GABRIELLE CHANEL is to affirm your own intensity, to follow your own path and to feel alive.

This new take on Chanel's Gabrielle is my new favourite perfume. It's so feminine. It is floral, fruity and sparkling with my favourite flower - Jasmine. Will wear all year round, not too overpowering for work. The bottle is also stunning.Another classic Chanel. Absolutely stunning.

For me, L'eau is a lightweight fragrance that retains the general Chanel DNA. I find it civet at the opening, evolving into a flavored sparkling water scent with an underlying chypre that smells much like a lightweight version of the eighties Liz Claiborne perfume. L'eau does soften up into what I'm guessing is an eighties tuberose and after about four to five hours on my skin I can no longer smell it. It does last on clothing quite a bit longer. I do agree it does not smell very similar to the other Chanel Gabrielle's but I do not get much of a powder scent from it. Maybe Gabrielle edu after the ylang ylang drifts away. A real con is that the air where this perfume has been sprayed has a strong civet smell for awhile. In some places the bottle is thin enough it looks like the juice will run out. Neat, but hopefully I don't drop it! I've tried to review this more than three times. It doesn't seem to go through so hopefully this will and the others won't!

This smells like a classic perfume that you would wear in a more mature or structured setting. Something you would wear to a fine dining restaurant, or to your second divorce hearing where you're trying to separate community property. It's powdery and could be classified as a little "old lady," but I love it. I find the scent lasts very well.

I really loved this perfume. This perfume is flowery, smells luxurious and sophisticated, but not overpowering. This is my go to perfume at the moment. The bottle is also stunning—simple yet elegant with a square shape and soft gold color. The smell stays for around 3-4 hours before you need to reapply. If you are looking for fresh, floral and elegant perfume, this could be the one.I recommend this product
I absolutely love Gabrielle Chanel L'Eau! It's light, fresh, and perfect for daily wear. The citrusy opening is invigorating, and the floral heart notes make it feel elegant and feminine. The scent lasts well throughout the day, and the warm, musky base is just right. Highly recommend this fragrance for anyone looking for something versatile and sophisticated.
I am not a big fan of CHANEL fragrances but I saw the review where someone mentioned it smelled like Stella McCartneys Stella. That peaked my attention. While I don't think it smells like Stella, there is a light, feminine, romantic scent that is Stella-esque. It's way better than the origanl Gabrielle. A true girly girl, pretty scent.
A Chanel perfume which does not give me a headache (both OG chance and mademoiselle give me headaches). I like this perfume for its simplicity. It has a simple, “smell nice”, yet unassuming smell. It makes me feel pulled together, but not showy. It is a wonderful go anywhere safe fragrance. To me, the smell is pretty uniform throughout. Medium weight floral and clean smell. Agree with another reviewer that the bottle, while pretty, is a bit thin on materials. Oh well, it makes it lighter in my purse and I’m all about light purses. For me, longevity is fine because I like reapplying every few hours. If it lasts longer than this, it is probably going to be headache inducing for me. I’ve had it on more than 30 mins and I still can smell it on myself when usually with perfumes I cannot smell them after 5 minutes (maybe because my nose gets used to it). So, I feel it’s fine on potency. This is not a mega potent perfume, but will be smelled by your friends when you hug and join them and your loved ones and, for me; this is enough. I only use one or two squirts. If you want more sillage you can likely spray more.
I sampled a few different scents in store and I sprayed this on part of my arm to test out for the day. I own the original Gabrielle, and although it is lovely, its not practical for everyday use. At first impression the tuberose and orange blossom stand out. I became pleasantly aware at how subtle and sophisticated this can be, but it's clearly no wallflower. In fact, it outlived the other scents I had on by the end of the day, yet somehow maintained its serenity - love it's quiet strength. It dried down to a beautifully fresh "clean skin" effect. I want to say, almost like an authentic italian linen; not so much powdery iris but more jasmine and ylang-ylang. It makes me think of fresh, clean skin-friendly fabrics, and wide open aired countrysides. Since I usually prefer my scents fresh and airy, this was a win for me. If you like something that is deeply feminine without being loud, and gives you (and others) the space to think, this one might be worth trying out. It offers staying power with a light touch. I will definitely be going back for this one.
I love how this perfume smells. It's classic without having the heavy floral notes I typically associate with a Chanel perfume. However, it doesn't last AT ALL and the bottle is extremely flimsy and cheap feeling, which is a disappointment for a luxury brand. At this price point, I expect the scent to last and the packaging to be substantial.
From reviews it seems this is a bit different for most people. For me L'eau is a generally lightweight fragrance with a civety opening that evolves into a flavored sparkling water scent with an underlying chypre? scent that smells much like a lightweight version of 1980's Liz Claiborne. I do own and enjoy that perfume so I do also enjoy Gabrielle L'eau. L'eau does soften up into I'm guessing the 80's tuberose scent and after about 4-5 hours on my skin I no longer smell it. I don't get a whole lot of powder from L'eau. I do agree it is not much like Gabrielle or Gabrielle Essence. Maybe the part of Gabrielle after the ylang ylang drifts away. A real con on L'eau for me is that when I spray L'eau the area it's been sprayed has a civety scent turning to full on urine ... MoreFrom reviews it seems this is a bit different for most people. Thankfully, on the skin it comes off more as animalic than flat out urine. Bottle is pretty. Some places you can see that the glass is pretty thin and the perfume almost looks like it will flow out of the bottle. That looks pretty cool but I hope I don't drop my perfume.
