Acqua Di Gio is a wonderful Parfum by Armani. My go to scent has always been Issey Miyake (Eu De Toilette). After doing some research, Issey Miyake does not sell a Parfum variation of their Eu De Toilette scent. The perfume specialist helped me find something within a similar ball park; Acqua Di Gio got the closest, at least for me. The parfum is refreshing; immediately noticing the Bergamot citrus fruit with an underlying woody, and almost smokey, note at the base which blend together really well to leave a recognisable impression - even in passing. If you like aquatic scents, particularly fond, and in search of an Issey Miyake style fragrance, you should definitely at least consider Acqua Di Gio!

I have heard that this smells like the discontinued ADG Profumo. Even the bottles look similar. I cannot attest to that due to me not trying it. This is just a slightly less sweet and more spicy ADG. I smelled the og and I liked that one, but the longevity was mid. I think that this one solved the problem of longevity. The spices in this one make it to my nose a salty aquatic. It gets a tad less spicy and a bit more sweet in the drydown. Though by all means: this is not a sweet frag. When I washed my hands with this one on, it still remained and smelled just like the OG. There is a prominent rosemary note. I like this one. 3 words I would use to describe this are salty rosemary aquatic. I think this is a pretty dressed up cologne. I feel that the OG is also, but ... Thank you Armani for sending me the free sample of Acqua Di Gio Parfum for review. I spent the most amount of time that the campaign would allow testing the fragrance so I could give an accurate review. I really enjoyed the scent. Some people are likening it to the now discontinued Profumo. In my opinion it is and it isn't. The opening of the Parfum is missing the green notes from Profumo. Instead its more spicy and warm. The mid is extremely close to Profumo, I don't notice much difference in them. The drydown is different though as well, staying fresher and missing that smokey incense that Profumo has On my skin Parfum lasts about 5 hours with 45 minutes of opening, about 2 hours of mid, and the rest the drydown. Performance is not as good as Profumo in my testing which is disappointing. Projection is also less than Profumo in my testing. With the Parfum, 8 sprays can be smelled from about 2 to 3 feet away for about 2 hours, after which it becomes a skin scent. In conclusion, I enjoy the Parfum. I like the opening more than I do Profumo, however Profumo still has the edge in the drydown. The longevity and the projection are lacking a bit but I still think it's a good scent and a worthwhile pickup. It's a fresher take on Profumo and fits in nicely with the new simplification of the line. It is not however a direct replacement for the discontinued Profumo.

First let me start with my complaint, the atomizer. I ordered mine off fragrancebuy.ca so maybe this site will be different, but my atomizer on the 125ml bottle squirts more than it sprays. A number of other people have reported that their bottle leaks. Thankfully mine doesn't but the atomizer is one of the worst I've ever seen in a fragrance. I own more than 80. Hugely disappointing Armani's QA failed so badly. As far as the Parfum, the smell is terrific. Clearly derivative of Profumo but without so much of the incense. If you liked Profumo you will also like the Parfum. Not saying you'll like it more, but they are more siblings than they are cousins. If you liked Profumo you will also like the Parfum. Not saying you'll like it more, but they are more siblings than they are cousins. Parfum is slightly different, but in the drydown there is a strong similarity to Profumo. The Parfum takes on almost a Pepsi cola note and it's actually really pleasant. Performance is excellent but without the incense the Parfum doesn't last quite as long for me as Profumo. Profumo I get a solid 10 hours from regularly. Parfum I get 6-8 depending on the environment. Huge win for Armani with this one. Just wish they'd stop with these ridiculous refillable bottles that are just a marketing ploy and not practical at all. Also possibly a reason why their atomizers are having so many issues.
Being a strong fan of ADG Profumo, I was excited for the new release of this parfum. While impressed by its resemblance to the Profumo drydown, the fruity opening, (a highlight of Profumo), was notably absent during an in-store test. However, this recent sample I received, offered notes deviating significantly from the store-tested version. Missing was the signature smokiness, replaced instead by a generic 'blue' fragrance note mixed in with salty marine undertones. While the longevity held up well, the scent eventually became annoying and sickly, with the promenant salty marine notes taking the lead. Until a more consistent version emerges, I cannot recommend this product.
This fragrance is still the same juice from their 2023 version. I know Armani quietly did a reformulation of this parfum, as I’ve seen others mentioning other than the new bottle redesigns that there is more amped up incense and better performance overall. For me that’s not the case. I think I got a bad batch because I’ve tested this out 2-3 times. It DOES NOT project whatsoever and by the 5 hour mark it’s completely gone. Not even my girlfriend could smell it on my skin whatsoever. I checked the batch code and it’s disappointing that the juice is still from 2023 8 months ago and not the new reformulation that’s said to last longer than the previous version. For the price I paid, it seems like a waste unfortunately.
First of all, Im not a huge perfume/cologne connoissseur, just a regular guy who has a few bottles. Decided to give this one a try and spend the extra on what I thought was gonna be a really great one. After using it 6-7 times now, I can say that it's dissapointing for what it costs and as a "parfum". Starts off very fresh and citrusy with a more masculine edge, but quickly settles into a very faint wood smell after only 1 hr, then the light wood scent only lasts about 2.5 hrs and you really struggle to smell anything by then, and around 4 hrs, its completely gone..and Im using 4 sprays between neck and wrist. I certainly wouldn't recommend this to anyone based on the price and longevity, overall really disappointed as I thought it would be a lot more than what it ... Love the start, but fades in no time.
I received this product for free for my honest review. Armani Acqua di Giò Profumo is a 2023 release that builds upon the aquatic freshness of the original Acqua di Giò with a more intense and long-lasting fragrancePros:Uplifting and bright scentGood for daily wearMinimalist and modernCons:Lacks uniqueness compared to the originalHerbaceous green notes might not appeal to everyoneOverall, it's a safe choice for those who enjoy the classic Acqua di Giò and want a more powerful version. If you're looking for something more unique, you might want to consider other options.
At first sniff, I immediately thought Acqua di Gio Parfum was a dead ringer for Profumo. Given the chance to settle for a moment, this new version shows it's differences. For one, Parfum has a greener, more herbal element which draws a straight line from last year's Eau de Parfum. It's also a lot more airy. This Parfum feels much less dense than the Profumo of old.The incense (olibanum) remains the focus of the fragrance once things begin to dry down. It stays very close the the dark and mysterious yet fresh and approachable tone of the original. Whatever ingredient was used for Profumo, it's very likely carried over here. And it still works really well. Getting wafts of it throughout the day is like an injection of confidence. Luckily, this accord makes up the ... And it still works really well. Getting wafts of it throughout the day is like an injection of confidence. Luckily, this accord makes up the majority of the fragrance. The spirit of Profumo lives on!Yet despite numerous similarities between the old and new, several wearings reveal AdG Parfum to not have the same gravitas as Profumo. As a result, it wears like a darker version of Acqua di Gio that still very much wants to be the obvious choice for summer heat. That airiness makes Parfum arguably more versatile than Profumo, with the trade off being a dip in overall performance.Taken on its own merits, Parfum is a quality fragrance. It retains the most unique and appealing aspects of its predecessor. But also adds slight elements of the EDP, making it squarely in line with the Acqua di Gio of today. If you've been feeling grief over the disappearance of Profumo, this goes a long way to make up for it. If you never got a chance to experience Profumo, don't waste time getting your nose on Acqua di Gio Parfum.
I've had a chance to test this out for a couple weeks now and I will say I'm pretty happy with it. I do have some other scents that I prefer, but overall I would probably get this again. Right after spraying some on my upper chest I really liked the scent. To me, it has a bright floral smell along with some undertones that are hard to put my finger on. After an hour or so of wearing the cologne, the more subtle scents became more apparent to me and I didn't really like it as much. However after wearing it for several days in a row, it started to grow on me. I asked my girlfriend her opinion on it and she was indifferent on it other than saying it smelled "manly" and wasn't overpowering. As far as overpowering goes, I agree that it is not overpowering, as long as you're careful with how much you use. It's pretty potent, with only one spray needed on the chest to provide the perfect amount of scent. I get headaches from certain scents pretty easily, but this is one that didn't bother me in the slightest. The scent lasted strong for hours and was even still somewhat there after a 9 hour workday. I think that once I use the rest of this up, I would buy it again just to have on my shelf. I was comparing it to my favorite colognes and it fits right in with what I would normally use.
