The almonds and tonka off the top indicate we are heading towards amaretto territory here but, with the citruses, orange blossom and rosemary help or hinder (depends on your point of view ) the scent from becoming too boozy or sweet. LHI to me becomes herbaceous and sweet with a rich leathery base. The rosemary actually helps to ratchet up the scent and perk up the sweeter elements. The cedar and vetiver round out the scent and create a sweet, woody and earthy base to this scent. In the dry down the almonds, tonka and leather remain framed with herby sweetness and it does truly last. Performance wise I’m not having any issues, I’m getting 8-9h with moderate projection and silage radiates within arm length. It's maybe a bit more of a cool weather scent but it's absolutely fine in warmer weather.

A decidedly manly scent with a spicy-warm gourmand character, very charismatic and classy. You will get flattering glances. Safe to wear, nothing cloying about it. In fact, when I first smelled it from a test strip, it felt like shoe polish to my nose. On contact with skin, though, it turns orgasmic you'll want to sniff it all day long. It is a very cunning mix, dominated by the bittery-aromatic trio of maraschino cherry, almond and leather. A touch of sweetness from vanilla and tonka beans, and a generous dose of red-hot spice bring in a sense of all things yummy, without getting explicitly culinary. All of this in a smooth, unified olfactory impulse. The staying power is tremendous. Seducing, potent and addictive, it is a real match for its name.

I don't usually purchase fragrances on MyPerfumeShop due to my fear of getting fakes and the price is usually better on fragrance discounters websites. Also, with all the reformulation talk and suggestions that the new batches were inferior to the old ones, I really wanted the older version of this. The price also made me suspicious. Why was it 70 when it was 100 everywhere else? Well, I bought it and I LOVE it. It appears to be the real deal and it smells amazing. If this is inferior to the previous version then I need that older batch even more now because this was a 10 out of 10 for me. I ran this fragrance on sample test, head to head repeatedly on the back of each hand one against the other over hours, against the unisex fragrance Coromandel made by a firm named after a girl called Coco, a fragrance which I am also partial to. The Guerlain L'Homme Ideal EDT for me won that competition. Subjectivity aside that result is fair recommendation as to how good this Guerlain fragrance is for men. The latter is also at a far lower price point.

Great and Unique, nothing like it. One detail.

Opening is heavy on the leather, which smells great. As it drys down, you're left with rose (or cherry), almond and vanilla which makes the fragrance smell less masculine. Duration is 8 hours on skin and lasts days on clothes. Personally would love leather note to remain throughout the day. That would've made this fragrance perfect. 8.5 /10 because leather is only a top and slightly mid note

My partner loved it!

I was looking round for something fresh and zesty, as that's what my partner likes. I prefer something less lemony, with more earthy woody tones. So when I came across "Homme ideale" it certainly was ideal. Has a depth to it, is fresh, but not a lemon in sight. I bought it because I adored the fragrance, and now it is my partners favourite fragrance! Plus it lasts on the skin, I don't know whether Gurlain do a perfum in this fragrance, but the aftershave/cologne is punchy enough.

If I could have 10 bottles of this perfume I would definitely have them, that’s how in love I am with this perfume. In conclusion, after believing I had found my ideal perfume before knowing this perfume, I had already settled with what I had, when I discovered this creation, everything changed and I will never regret using every spray that I use this perfume on my skin, definitely It is exactly what I needed and was looking for.

The picture of this fragrance is misleading, the fragrance bottle itself in the picture is of the older formulation, I like and prefer that bottle style. When I got it, it's the newer version of the bottle and formulation so im not best pleased. I could of got that particular bottle anywhere else for a better price. I think MyPerfumeShop should be more accurate with what your selling.

Absolutely love it! Blind bought this and it has become my daily scent for the winter. I smell a cherry coke and nutty soft leather on the opening, and it dries down to a soft woody almond milk scent after a couple of hours. 3 sprays around the neck and a couple of sprays on the shoulders lasts me a good 7hrs. Projection is mid and I get a 2-3ft projection for the first 2hrs and it stays around a foot for the remainder of the 7hrs for me. If you're the type that likes that "Beast Mode" fragrance, you're gonna be disappointed. This is subtle, classy, and an inviting type scent meant more for events like a wedding, intimate gatherings, and can work for dates.
