I received a sample of this perfume, from a friend from Paris, with a few gifts for Christmas and I've been hooked ever since. This is the best smelling perfume I've ever tried and I try a lot of fragrances. I like Tori Burch and used to wear Armani diamonds and sometimes I wear Gucci but this blows all of them out of the water. However, it is expensive so unfortunately to get a full bottle, it would need it to be a gift lol and Guerlain doesn't do roll-ons either so you have to buy the full bottle. It has a more intense scent, like a barely there feminine musk. Not a fruity or flowery smell; at least for the regular one. They do have other versions but the original is the best. I have dry skin and most perfumes tend not to last a long time on my skin, and I prefer vanilla orientals, so this was branching out a bit for me. La Petite Robe Noire is an incredibly fun scent, and very sweet and almost spicy scent. It's definitely "younger" than some of the other Guerlain scents, I found it to be a better "daily" scent. It starts off with an almond top note, a licorice middle note, and a vanilla musk dry down. I found that the sweetness was almost too much for me. It's a fantastic scent, but something about the middle note just didn't work well for me. I tended to like this scent just as I sprayed it, and then several hours afterwards. It has great sillage and it's long lasting, like all of the other Guerlain scents.

This scent is not overwhelming. It's very easy to wear and my entire family loves it. It's the perfect mix of fruity citrus,floral and nutty notes and it redefined how I approached fresh scents. It's fresh but still very delicious and makes me long for spring. It would be great for a fun day out but could truly be worn anywhere. It gives me about 7-8 hours on my skin and a little longer on my clothing. I bought this on the Saks OFF Fifth website for 54.99 and I am getting 2 more bottles as back up since I have seen online chatter that it's discontinued and I feel like I don't want to live without it.

Guerlain’s La Petite Robe Noire is a sexy and ultra feminine fragrance featuring Bulgarian rose essence, Turkish Damask rose absolute and black cherry. It is tied together with almond, red berries and bergamot. I’m not a rose person at all, but I’m so in love with this intricate and multifaceted fragrance. It is a must try!

I love Guerlain's La Petite Robe Noire line, but I don't like this as much. To me it smells like cherry lemonade with almond blossom and clean musk. While I enjoy these notes separately, they don't blend well in this fragrance. The bitter gourmandish notes clash with the laundry-like white musk. On the plus side, the sillage and longevity are great.

For me this is a perfect winter perfume, it smells like a grown and loving woman who takes care of herself. It’s not a boss babe fragrance but more a elegant mom one. But def for fall of winter in my opinion. One of my favourite perfumes.

Fragrance of the day! Okay first off how cute is this bottle?! Look how they printed the dress so if you look from that side it's backwards because you have to look through the bottle at it. I love it! It's a beautiful light scent. It's sweet and fruity and floral but it has just enough musk to keep it grounded. I would love for it to have a little more lasting power, even for an edt. But I just like the scent so much more than the edp. It's not as heavy. Anyway I'm home all day and I'll just respray as I see fit...lol! I smell fabulous! What are you wearing today?

A pleasant sweet-floral scent

I always like to smell the scent straight on skin before reading what notes are contained in the fragrance as a means of discovery, seeing if I can discern notes from one another. After the dry down, you lose a bit of the fruity-sweetness and get more of a bouquet of floral scents. I imagine there are numerous florals but the ones that I can pick out are gardenia and rose. There is a bit of powderiness and a bit of a musky floral like a carnation or a marigold (I was way off)...hmmm... let's read further. So the top note is orange blossom which quickly volatilizes. You can pick out a bit of the black currant. The musk comes from the white amber and white musk. I prefer purse sized sprays vs. roller balls. I wish every fragrance house would offer this as an option when launching a new fragrance, historically perfuming was more about finding your signature scent which you wouldn't really deviate from and you were more likely to replenish the same scent. Now with consumerism, everyone wants the next newest scent.

Eau de toilette and the Perfume Smell completely different

Just because you love the perfume doesn't mean you're gonna like the EDT and vice versa. They are polar opposite from each other in many ways. The EDT is definitely on the fresh fruity floral side with a slight hint of red cherries. It is best suited for the office and for summer days. It is well executed however the scent is not as unique as the perfume is. It's not going to offend anyone and the lasting performance on it isn't the best (to my nose anyways). I think the eau de toilette is suitable for any age. I definitely recommend trying both the perfume and the eau de toilette in samples before buying.

My Wife Loves it!!!

I bought this originally from another vendor and my wife recently ran out so it was time to buy a replacement. I went straight to the manufacturer and bought a customized bottle. It also came with some extras awesome stuff. Worth the price. I will be making another purchase likely for Christmas!!! Thank you!!!
