I now own 3 Haakaas with the suction base. This product is something you don’t know you need until you have it. Having more than one allowed me to have one in the fridge to cool the milk between feedings, but I still always had a clean one. When breastfeeding you just place it on your alternate breast while your child nurses and it collects all the milk that would have otherwise gone into your bra. I couldn’t believe how much milk I was able to collect without really trying. It’s great for those late night feeds too, because it’s silent. Overall I would absolutely recommend this product. Bonus tip: if you have 2, put them on while you shower.

I absolutely love this product. I have been breastfeeding for almost two years with my toddler and now adding my newborn. I exclusively pumped for my oldest and now I nurse my youngest and use the Hakka on the other side for my toddler. This product can make your nipples sore in the beginning (all pumps will). But I can take this pump anywhere and it is so easy to clean! It is also very cost effective as you aren’t replacing pump parts or the pump itself, or at least I haven’t had to.

The haakaa is an amazing non mechanical breast pump that uses suction. I typically use it while I breastfeed on one side to catch the letdown on the other side. This has made building a milk stash much easier and faster. I recommend watching videos on how to properly use it and attach it to get the most milk out. It's made of silicone and is dishwasher safe. I definitely recommend this product to anyone who is breastfeeding.

It's great to have an easier product to use for leakages while my baby is on the other breast.Breastfeeding is challenging and in my case requires both my hands to appropriately support my little man in his feeds, I would usually need to grab the closest towel or even blanket in some cases to shove under the other or risk drenching my boy and myself. My milk supply has always been up and down and this can make expressing hard and I get upset not having emergency milk in the freezer incase my supply is low and his appetite kicks in full swing. It's saving stinky towels and blankets in the wash that have had to be delayed so we can simply wash our own clothes after keeping up with our boys. It's just helping with a sense of dignity while breastfeeding. I'm all for breastfeeding but making such huge messes at times I can't move and can't reach because my boy needs both my hands, it gets messy, smelly and just hurts my feelings because I feel like I'm failing or can't keep up with something so simple like staying resonably clean while feeding, it stopped me going out in public, four and a half months old and my boy is still locked on every 2 hours or so throughout the day, I couldnt make that mess in public, no bra pad could support the amount I'm capable of leaking at times my breasts are doing their job of producing. Now I have a lot more confidence to go out with my boy as it's so easily portable and I manage to support it with my inner arm while supporting my boy, because of the suction it's a bit easier to hold on while feeding compared to my hospital grade pump as that requires a lot of support around the actual breast, the haakaa more or less for me requires support to just stay in position as a whole. It does not replace expressing in my situation nor do I believe that is it's intention but it certainly supports me while feeding my boy and for a little while after depending how easy my boy will burp at the time.I intend to buy a couple more to leave around to help me in my breastfeeding and expressing journey.

Depends on your needs

I kept hearing about this device and given the price, decided to try it. It was effective in catching milk while I breastfed, but as others have mentioned, it is bulky when breastfeeding. What I didn’t realize is that it would hurt. There is no way that I am pumping with this device, it suctions too much. My manual avent pump remains the best for quick pumping. If you’re looking for something to just catch the letdown, I would go with something smaller.

Great - definitely better than the knock off

It’s definitely worth buying the Haaka brand! I bought a different brand initially because it was cheaper and it was never comfortable if I used enough suction to form a good seal and it was almost never hands free because of this. I was surprised how much difference I noticed when trying this Haaka version. I am able to get a good seal with a little suction and be completely comfortable. I wish I would have spent a little more to get the product that worked well initially. I am very happy with this product. It’s so helpful to be able to save some milk with this to put in the freezer. Easy to clean. The flower is silly to me but otherwise it’s a fabulous product.

Haaka this in the trash!

I really have no idea why this thing has so many good reviews . It’s terrible. I didn’t have much money to spend on a pump and I literally wasted $25 on this pump that I really didn’t have. It didn’t even get a full oz for me. I know I did it right because I searched for tips and did them all and it didn’t help. I guess if you have leaky breasts maybe it would help you more than me but I do not have leaky breasts. I exclusively pump and normally used hands free electric which work pretty well but on of the pieces broke on mine so while waiting for the part to come in I decided to try this thing since it had such good reviews but I’m sure I could have hand expressed more milk.

Uncertain of a true opinion

I loved the idea of these, but never use them. They work well if I have time to sit there, but don’t trust the suction enough to get up and do anything while they’re on. They can also be painful if they aren’t on just right. I have yet to figure out how I’m supposed to use these while my baby feeds due to their length. Cute design and easy to clean. Maybe I’ll use them once my baby is older, but I regret buying these as of right now. Might be a good fit for other moms, but not for me personally!

Loved it. Used it throughout night time when I needed to pump and my pump was drying off after being washed for the day (I use the fridge hack). It was supplying me more milk in one session than my Momcozy pump (which work amazingly well) that I use throughout the day would in one session, at first. It definitely helped raise my supply or keep it from dropping for sure. THERE’S A BUT. As much as I loved it, it has stopped working now. After only about a month to a month and a half, I can only get about a quarter of what I was getting with it and the suction never wants to stay anymore. It isn’t quite as sturdy as it used to be. Its silicone was much more stiff when I first got it and it’s a bit floppy now. I’ve only sterilized it maybe 2-3 times. Sad that it didn’t ... MoreLoved it.
