The HOKA Challenger ATR 7 GORE-TEX shoes are an evolution of the previous version. The heel height has been increased by combining a simplified mesh upper with a new very soft foam for a plusher feel. They have a waterproof GORE-TEX liner designed to keep feet dry in different climates. In addition, the patented rubber added to the base of the unit, together with a revamped sole design, achieves the best all-terrain stride to date. This is thanks to the membrane with pores that are 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water, but 700 times larger than a molecule of water vapour. That means that water cannot get in, but skin can still breathe. Each membrane is tried and tested in the harshest weather conditions.
