Amazing shoes!

These are the lightest most comfortable shoes. It’s almost as if I’m walking on pillows. No aches or pains anywhere after having worn them all day. An amazing purchase!

Great trail runner

Use the shoes for trail running. I am not particularly concerned with speed and am not a long distance runner, usually not over 5 miles. These work great for my purposes. The shoes have great spring, fit true to size and have an excellent grip. I also noticed that the shoes remain mostly dry in dewy conditions, as my Clifton's did not.

Lack of balance between cushion and supports.

Lack of balance between cushion and supports. Too soft on heels area and too hard on sole area without arch supports. My heels feel pain after 3-4 times used.

Love These Mafate Hoka's
27 August 2024

I have 2 pairs of Bondi's and three pairs of the Speedgoats. I'm a fan of all my Hoka's however the Mafate's are at the top. Great support for hiking. Awesome colors.

Mafate 2 works for me!
30 April 2023

I have heel pain and I don't need to change special inserts for this issue. I am comfortable using this pair. However, need a whole day of usage to stretch the width. It wasn't painful but a tiny bit tight on my right midsole. After that it's all good. This pair has some reflector strip. Btw, this colorway is stylish and cool.

Oh my stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
25 March 2023

Oh my stars, I am buying a second pair. It's not only all of my favorite colors...(cotton candy meets a pastel rainbow and falls in love) but also is so comfortable!!! Wow!! What a great shoe!!! I am having a love affair with this shoe!! Thank you

Please keep making this version!!!

I primarily use these in the gym (stairmill, elliptical, treadmill, HIIT). I started with Cliftons and Bondis, and while the comfort was there, I did not like the look of either. I decided to try the Mafate 2's after seeing my sister's gorgeous pair. I had no idea that trail running shoes would work just fine, if not better, in the gym. I absolutely LOVE these. I now have them in all but one color. Not only is this the first shoe that hasn't required my custom orthotics for plantar fasciitis, but it is also the most comfortable and most gorgeous shoe I've owned. I ended up buying a few speed 4s. While they are equally comfortable and supportive, they are not nearly as cute as the 2s. Please keep making these! They are so uniquely gorgeous. ****True to size is true ... MoreI primarily use these in the gym (stairmill, elliptical, treadmill, HIIT). Probably a 5 star shoe if they fit ME properly
11 March 2024

These are my 3rd pair of HOKAs. First two were5 star all the way. These would probably be as well but the toe box is too narrow for me. I would like to return them for store credit to get a different pair.

Why so long and narrow???
28 March 2022

I really wanted to love these because of the color. What a beautiful neutral with just a pop of fun! I thought that being "all gender" would mean decent width, but these were just weirdly narrow and long. I'm almost always a women's 7, very rarely a 7.5, and have feet that are medium width bordering on wide with medium arches and a slightly high instep. I ordered these in M6/W7 and returned them for the width issue. Sizing up for width wasn't an option because they'd be uncomfortably long. For reference, the Speedgoat mid in size 7 is my go-to speed hiker (2 pairs now), and after this disappointing experience I raced to my computer and bought a backup pair of those in case they stop making them.
