The New Hoya Fusion Antistatic Next range features all the benefits of the Fusion One Next filters, with the addition of a new Antistatic coating which acts like a force-field around the filter to repel dust. Perfect for environments where dust is common, these filters require less frequent cleaning and maintenance than traditional filters. These professional filters are made in Japan using hand selected silicates that are carefully smelted and blended to produce high performance optical glass. Hoya then uses extreme care and precision to apply the improved 18-Layer Super Multi-Coating formula which greatly reduces or eliminates reflections on the surface of the glass to provide an ultra-clear high transmission rate. This means the filter has virtually no effect on the colour balance, contrast, or clarity of the final image. The filters also feature a lightweight, one-piece, low-profile aluminium frame to house the glass. This one-piece design allows the filter to maintain perfect parallel alignment to the sensor plane for maximum sharpness, while the low-profile form eliminates vignetting when used on ultra-wide-angle lenses. They additionally incorporate stain resistance and a water-repellent coating which makes the filters easier to clean and helps to protect against finger prints and smudges. The UV (UltraViolet) filter absorbs the ultraviolet rays which are invisible to human eyes, but can make areas of outdoor photographs hazy and indistinct. This multi-purpose filter can also serve as a permanent lens protector and while designed specifically for high-resolution digital cameras, the UV filter can also be used on film cameras.

I dont think I have cleaned this lens yet! Every time I check it for fingerprints or dust, I find it is absolutely clean and nothing but perfectly clear. I never knew that the anti-static coatings could be so effective. Compared to my old clear lens, now I know the difference.

If you have ever had an accident (tripod leg slipped) and your camera fell, this can be a lifesaver. Been there, done that. Saved the day. Plus you're cleaning the filter and not the glass in the lens. No dust, no sand, no sea spray.

Always the best quality, because why would you want to compromise the performance of your expensive lens with a cheap protector filter? Regardless of size, I've always been pretty happy with these.

True to the words describe. Highly recommended.
First class product. Fitted to my new Panasonic Leica Lumix DG Summilux 15mm F/1.7 ASPH Lens. Has been excellent in light rain, easy to clean and totally clear.
Being a semi pro married to a pro photographer I am fussy on glass quality. This filter is nice and sharp. With and without showed negligible difference between image sharpness at full size in a test I ran. Good quality. Recommended.
Filter seems to attract less dust but when dust lands on it it doesn't stick like other filters. I like it although pricey.
Good glass deserves excellent protection. It's much cheaper to replace a protective filter than replace an expensive piece of glass that you love! If I'd only . . .
Fits a little bit loose on my lens compared to a Sigma protector. Optically it is excellent though!
Threads on and off easily. Is actually antistatic and water resistant. Multi-coating seems to reduce flare.
