Unfortunately 54p buys you exactly what you deserve - Niagara Falls at the tap and little pressure at the other end of the hose (yes, I did check the washer was in place!)Picked up this genuine Hozelock model and instantly drip free - another lesson learned!

These Hozelock connectors are excellent to prevent leaks and stopping soaking you by coming apart. However this is only true with Hoselock to Hozelock mix them with other connectors at taps or appliances and they do come apart too easily.

Fantastic for a cheap option, does a great job. Seal is perfect and plastic is durable.Bought one doing window cleaning as an emergency as needed to fill up the tank and didn't have one in the van - life saver.

You get what you pay for with these items. Hozelock seem to be the best with regards to quality and longevity. As long as all the connectors are Hozelock I’ve found they don’t leak when used.
After consulting screw fix staff and listening to their advice about how to connect a hose to a water pipe fitted to connect to a sink (not yet installed) I bought the hoze lock. There were other more expensive options but screw fix staff were very helpful and suggested that I try the more simple and cheaper option first. It worked and I'm very grateful for the patient customer service I received.
This type of fitting has been widely copied and in the past I have bought cheaper copies. Predictably, the cheaper tend to drip and leak more. If you want a better seal, particularly on stuff that you leave permanently turned on (like irrigation systems), then pay the extra!
very easy to setup,i bought the other Hozelock products too.they are easy to connect and use.
