I received this beautiful color depositing mask from IGK and Topbox Circle in exchange for an honest review.I was super excited to receive this in the color Strawberry Milkshake and couldn't wait to try it. I wear my hair in a pony tail and air dry . IGK Color Depositing Mask is a wonderful hair product in so many ways . I really like that I was able to apply it to my hair dry or wet as long as it is clean depending on how deep brown of a look I want it . I did have gray hairs beginning to show . Considering that I am aging my hair just didn't have that healthy shine anymore . I really appreciated that the mask doesn't smell like a heavy chemical. This color is supposed to be a pale violet gray. The gray I get...I can see it in my hair, for sure. But there's no violet or purple whatsoever visible in my hair, even though I used nearly the entire tube of color. Out of the tube, it's a purple conditioning cream, and, according to the usage directions, it can be applied to wet hair for about five to ten minutes for a subtle wash of color (supposedly), or applied to dry hair and left for ten to fifteen minutes for deeper, richer, more vibrant results. In fact, "Sad Trombone" might be a better name for this Color Depositing Mask by IGK. It's actually called "Magic Storm", but there isn't much magic to it. It definitely changed the tone of my hair; it took the gold notes out, replacing them with a flatter, grayer tone. I mildly like the resulting overall color, but I am very disappointed that there's no sign of the violet.However, I am delighted to find that the one great effect of this product is that it has left my hair feeling sooo soft and silky! It is a conditioning mask, so I guess that makes sense, but boy...it feels wonderful. Even my husband loves it! He has been playing with my hair, commenting on how soft it feels. That's a huge win in my book!While I'm not thrilled with this particular shade, Magic Storm, I think this is another great temporary color product from IGK. It is easy to use, isn't too messy, and it leaves your hair feeling amazingly soft. I also love that you can experiment with color without the pressure of long-term commitment. I was hoping for some noticeable pink in my hair, however I didn't really achieve much color difference at all. I will admit that my hair color is brown with blonde and auburn highlights.
