INCRA’s T-Rules offers unparalleled accuracy. With the addition of a fence you can now quickly and accurately mark anything from a work piece edge, as well as use the T-rule as an accurate layout square. Slide the fence along the work piece with 0.5mm mechanical pencil or scribe in place to use as a marking/mortice gauge too. The end has height marking slots 50mm high to expand its usefulness even more.

A seriously useful and versatile piece of kit. In use for measuring picture mounts and perfect for the job. Superior to a regular steel rule as it's thinner & finer for use with very thin pencil lead. Highly recommend.

Have tried both rules and happy that they are accurate to help me create 1:160 scale structures and other model related items. The T Bar connector certainly helps when using a straight edged board under your medium, be it paper, plastic or other modelling substrate. The only downside is the thinness of the rule could very easily be bent out of shape thus making it less useful. That said, like all precision instruments they need to be treated respectfully in order to provide longevity and accurate use. Not cheap but hopefully worth the money over time and use.

I have memories of trying to divide one sixteenth of an inch into sixty-fourths using a sharp pencil and a squint! If only we'd had rules like this, then! There's nothing like a nice firm tactile reference point to give confidence in precision work - and these rules provide that in two ways: firstly, the fence on the end means it's easy to locate the rule at the end of the workpiece, and then the rows of precision holes mean that a 0.5mm mechanical pencil can be located precisely in the required place with sub-millimetre accuracy. Some have said that the rules feel very thin, but I'm not sure how that could be avoided - and in any case it shouldn't be a problem as long as they're stored carefully. I love them - and wish I'd had something like them decades ago!

Call me tight, but I was finding it a little difficult to justify spending £40 on a ruler, but I am so pleased I did. This thing is so accurate and I find I am using it for more and more tasks. It is so nicely engineered I was almost reluctant to use it for the first time.I have used it for several marking up tasks on wood working projects and it is amazing the difference it makes. No longer do I need to hope I have got an accurate mark. This ruler puts the mark exactly where you want and the repeatability is amazing. The level of detailed markings you can make is out of this world, to be able to repeatably make marks down to 0.25mm is great. This website offered a great price and a very speedy delivery service.Anyway, if you are researching this rule, then just ... MoreCall me tight, but I was finding it a little difficult to justify spending £40 on a ruler, but I am so pleased I did. This thing is so accurate and I find I am using it for more and more tasks. I bought this to complement my Woodpeckers TS600 T Square which I love but can be a bit big when you only want 200mm but then there's time when I wish I'd bought the bigger one. You know the story. I really like this becuase of the 0.25mm steps because I'm a fussy git. But, I wish the blade part was not so flimsy as you really have to hold the T part against the edge or the rule can flex and move. Also, I found that even though I've pushed the blade home to the raised edge it sits against the markings are not quite inline with my TS600 but it's probably about 0.075mm but even then. One is out or both are wrong? Flimsy blade is my biggest gripe. The pencil that comes with it is rubbish. I bought three extra to make up the cost for free shipping. They have one 60mm stick of lead in them which is pretty brittle and once you're down to 10mm it can't grip the lead any more. Better off buying a pack of Bic ones.
Ive been using a 2mm engineering pencil with a regular rule until now. Its always felt a game of luck to get accurate cuts but this is a game changer for precision. The pencil that came with mine didnt seem to work but I ordered 3 Incra products, each with a pencil and the others worked fine
Absolutely love this little gem! Never thought I needed one until I used a mates cheap version. So glad that I spotted this one and didn’t buy cheap. The blade is incredibly flimsy so needs storing safely. But wow is it helpful. I’ll definitely be buying longer versions. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
Having been in joinery for 30 odd years, I purchased a Stanley square at 19 I am 68 now & still have it, it’s been dropped a few times but is still square to this day.I saw this Incra & was impressed with its features of being able to set out quicker & accurately but I didn’t realize was the metal business end of the tool you could wrap round a post or a chicken for the oven, it’s very thin? This is the problem with the internet, we are given pictures of something & have to guess it’s quality but in reality what you see is not always what you get.To be fair I have not yet used this tool as it’s in my “pending” rack so it would be very unfair to judge its capabilities at this stage- I just thought it would be a thicker gauge material one perhaps that would last 40 ... MoreHaving been in joinery for 30 odd years, I purchased a Stanley square at 19 I am 68 now & still have it, it’s been dropped a few times but is still square to this day.I saw this Incra & was impressed with its features of being able to set out quicker & accurately but I didn’t realize was the metal business end of the tool you could wrap round a post or a chicken for the oven, it’s very thin? I purchased this product on a recommendation from a fellow 'crafter'. She said that she had some initial reserves and found it a little involved to use for our needs but pleased to have persevered and now would not use anything else I will admit that it is somewhat daunting at first sight but as a crafter such accuracy is rarely essential so the minutia of measurement will sadly never be used to its fullest extent. I do however feel proud to own and use a tool of such accuracy and beauty. All I have to do now is give it my best shot to gain maximum value. I can see its value to woodworkers but I am, at this time not 100% sure if I will be able to do it justice within my craft of book folding but I am sure as hell going to give it my best shot. Incredible accuracy, beautiful construction. Brilliant!
Absolutely fabulous ruler - am using it for bookbinding and case-making which requires high-precision measurements and accurately drawn/cut lines. Can also be used as a makeshift caliper or dividers by inserting fine dressmaking pins into the tiny holes. And finally as a compass, again by securing the ruler with a fine pin and getting a very precisely measured circle. Will definitely be back for the imperial version, and perhaps some of the other rulers in this range! Finally, shipping was exceptionally good. Expected it to take a few days, actually arrived the next working day. Thank you WWW, I am one very happy FEMALE customer :)
