Decent kayak, a little bit overpriced. Seats are not great, not holding the air, if you are planning spending hours on the water be prepared to adjust the seats regularly. i am using this kayak mainly for fishing with my 7yo kid, rod holders that come with it are not that helpful, rod will likely be on your way so i would often go on the water with the smallest rod i got or even ice fishing rods. I am having this product for the last 4-5 years, never leaked other than the seats...which is kinda annoying when you realize you are at the middle of the lake...

While we have not had the chance to actually put this kayak in the water due to the freezing weather and storms, I can’t even begin to tell you how impressed I am with the quality of this kayak. It is made of such thick material that my daughter has enjoyed just lounging in it inside of our house. It’s also impressive how small everything breaks down - including the oars! This came with a booster seat too which I think will help my younger daughter, a camera mount, mounts for fishing rods, a gauge for filling it properly as well as a manual pump. We used an electric pump just for speed, other than that, we cannot wait to get this in the water!

A well made inflatable option

I was looking for an easy to inflate kayak for fishing and recreational purposes and settled on the Excursion Pro. The kayak comes in a handy to use bag (although not everything fits in the bag and it can be tough to get back in once you use it). The quality seems to be top notch. The three-ply construction feels extremely heavy duty leaving me with no concerns about it running ground on the beach or dropping a fishing hook on it. However, my wife had no complaints after the same outing. The included ores are handy because they can be disassembled into pieces. We did find that the ores were a big short, forcing you to have to reach a bit farther than comfortable to reach deep in the water. As well because they're so short you'll get a bit more water dripping into the boat. There's actually a nice amount of room at the front and rear of the kayak for storage. It comes with a fishing rod holder mount. Keep in mind that it's just the mount. You still need to buy a fishing rod holder and then clamp it on to the mount. The two fishing rod holders on the sides of the boat are a nice addition, although I wouldn't trust them in choppy water or wind. The boat handles exceptionally well in the water and is a breeze to turn and speed up. It's light enough to portage if necessary. We anchor ours with a 3 lb anchor and it was plenty for holding us in spot. All in all I'm quite impressed with this product and very happy with the quality of the kayak and its accessories. This is a great boat for those looking for an inflatable option.

Best Kayak Purchase!!!

AMAZING! I was in the market to purchase a premium inflatable kayak and after careful consideration and research the Intex Excursion Pro checked off all my boxes! The kayak comes packed inside of a bag that's not heavy at all. One adult person can carry it with no problem. It comes with a pump and two oars. The kayak is both easily inflated and deflated within 8-10 minutes. It's easy to dry and clean before packing away. I'm very pleased with the purchase. The kayak is very comfortable and extremely sturdy. Can't wait to take it out on more camping trips to the lake!

Disappointed

Very dissatisfied with this canoe. Bought 2 years ago and been used about 10 times. I've always been meticulous with cleaning before packing up. Noticed the last couple of uses each side is deflating. I have found 4 pinholes one side, 3 in the other and 1 in each seat. No damage is visible even with magnify glass, just looks like faulty material. Intex say they have a 90day warranty so didn't even bother to approach them. I would never recommend or buy this product again.

Every time I go out there is an issue.

I’ve had the kayak two years. There is never a time when I haven’t had an issue. The seats leak in the seems so I’ve had to patch them regularly. The kayak has had several tiny little holes which I’ve manage to fix, but ones the seam rips . It’s done. It’s too bad. I wrote the company about my seats and I never heard back. It’s imposible to get parts in Canada and if you import them is very expensive. So my kayak is done. It’s was’t cheap. So I expected better durability. And I just want to say I was super careful with it. I brought it home, let it dry out and even vacuumed inside to make sure there wasn’t any pebbles or something that could puncture it. But even after all my effort I had endless issues. Very sad.

Good for short term use, bad for long term use

I bought this product as an upgrade from Intex's Explorer K2 as they claim this version is more sturdy and durable. Unfortunately, that has turned out not to be true as I have been patching small holes pretty much since I got it. Now, it seems after just at two years it is done as the interior seam has split open about an inch. I'll try to patch it, but just wish Intex made something that was truly durable.So, not a bad product for short-term use, but don't expect long term use out of it.

Great Kayak, second purchase. First one, 4yrs old and still in good condition. I use the Kayak for fishing and would take my daughter with. She's older so needed a second. Portable for lake with no boat launches. Material is thicker and better than Intexs yellow kayak. I have the yellow also which is horrible compared to the red. Inflates by manual air pump is pretty quick. Deflates instantly by opening the 3 valve. Seats aren't great, very slow air leak while sitting causes bad back support.

Great Performing; Short but Good Warranty

Intex promptly replaced my original Excursion Pro 2 without question when I reported a leaking left air chamber seam before 90 day(short) warranty expired. I kayak a lot and also have had Sea Eagle Fast Track and Razorlite inflatables. This performs just as good or better than the Fastrack--lighter and less drag. Not as good as the Razorlite though, of course. It is nicely designed and easy to use. Durability still a questionmark. I had to patch Sea Eagles quite bit but that was after years of use. The price sure was right..

Excellent kayak for the price. Needed some help from YouTube to inflate the first time - directions aren’t great, but the kayak is! All the accessories you need, pump, gauge, paddles - don’t forget to get kayak-friendly life jackets. Easy to inflate/deflate/store. Very fun, high quality for the price. Bought for use by one adult %26 one child. Fast delivery through Walmart.
